The Official Futurama Griefing Thread - Revived for Hulu because Matt Groening needs to milk his cartoons to death

Is there any other scifi series where the main character(s) can easily travel anywhere in the universe*?
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy can be seen as an older, british, brother to Futurama. It covers a lot of the same ground as far as scifi tropes are concerned and yes the protagonists travel crazy distances through time and space. There's a literal Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

I visited my horror lolcow Billy West at a comic con last week. About the only good thing I can say is he acted like a normal person not a tard unlike the last 2 times I saw him in real life. He looked like was getting ready to kick the bucket. Hopeing for that HBO/Netflix documentary soon.

I can't wait for the trailer to come out and it doesn't quite seem like Futurama, something seems off, yet everyone on the Internet goes "OH MY GOD IT'S FUTURAMA! THEY HAVEN'T MISSED A BEAT!"

Then when the first episode comes out, it will be bad, like, Disenchantment bad, yet everyone on the Internet will be gas-lighting you, saying "OH MY GOD FUTURAMA'S BACK! THEY HAVEN'T MISSED A BEAT!"

Then by episode two it will be totally forgotten about.

We've seen this song and dance multiple times with multiple revived properties now.

I'll bet anything they do a laughably dated episode with Trump as the villain. These people can't help themselves.
Well hold your horses. The co-creator, writers and most of the cast of Futurama went on to do the recent revival of Spitting Image, and that one is actually really good.

But having that said, I won't be surprised if the new Futurama would do some shitty orange man bad jokes like how that shitty Animaniacs reboot did.

If these guys try to do one showing the best and worst of Joe Biden. It'll be more easier to find an needle in a haystack than to see what good Joe Biden did. :story:

You’re giving me flashbacks to when that awful Peele version of The Twilight Zone first started.

I said it looked like dogshit. Lots of people said it looked awful and pandering. The usual suspects screeched back “Shuttup racist! He’s a far superior writer than Rod Serling ever hoped to be!!!”

Show lasted what, a season? Two? Then these same people singing it’s praises walked all that back saying “yeah it wasn’t that good” acting like they never were just brainless consoomerist sheep. I’m positive the same fucking thing is gonna happen here as well

Don't forget when the first trailer for the 2018 Tomb Raider dropped where people called it shit and then the film came out and almost nobody watched it, and those that did called it shit, but fans of nu-Raider sperged out and claimed that it's the "best Tomb Raider movie" (as if the Jolie-era movies never existed) and "broke the video game movie curse" (as if Paul WS Mortal Kombat or the Angry Birds Movie never existed). The consoomers praised the movie, and thus a sequel was announced despite that the main star of Lara Croft hasn't appeared in any of the main roles of bigger blockbusters. Nowadays, a lot of people forgotten about the movie and it's because it's the worst video game movie ever, while people still praise it and waiting for the sequel to happen (which I'm hoping that given Embracer buying Eidos and Crystal from Squeenix, I hope and pray that the sequel finally gets cancelled).

tl;dr consoomers are a flock of sheep who will defend at anything because of branding, and new Futurama will suck.
