This is a problem for the Gay Old Party, because they were hoping to tease voters about ending Roe v Wade for the next 50 years. It's a problem for the Dems, because fat women screaming angrily about bloody coat hangers isn't gonna be very popular in the middle of an economic crisis. It's good news for babies tho :smug:

They managed to pass through a few religious fundies in the SC in order to remove RvW. I think you're a bit too optimistic here.

Actually yes, well maybe not as "outraged" but definitely think it's as stupid. And this argument gets dicey because it also opens the door for arguments about federal law on lots of other shit that wasn't envisioned in the constitution, ie sex crimes against children etc.
But for the part of abortion, even though I'm morally opposed to it, I value the sanctity and effective nature of the US constitutional system as it was built and worked more than I value my ability to browbeat others with my morals.
I just expect the same. You wanna practice degeneracy or abortion or whatever, go to a state that allows it. But don't come to my state and expect me to be okay with it just because you say it's your right based on laws decided elsewhere, especially in the case of Roe where it wasn't even a law voted upon but a court decision.

The vast majority of people vehemently against abortion are religious fundies. Either way, the 3 justices appointed under Trump are fundies.

No one cares outside of a few angry cows and their male feminist orbiters such as yourself. That's why there are no riots, no protests, no pushback, nothing but impotent screeching.
