Damn Calli fucked up, Gura was supposed to visit California and not get exposed to any people.
The party is whatever. A classic younger sibling shithead move. It's Calli's lack of concern for other people's Opsec that caught me off guard. If Calli is fine with people knowing who she is, that's her prerogative. The thing that gets me is that Gura, Ina and Ame have more or less scrubbed themselves off the internet the best that they can and Kiara has done well at placing a barrier between Keeki and Kiara. All 4 of them have indicated they want to keep a separation between their lives. Even if no one leaks a bunch of new pictures it's just telling of Mori's respect to others in her position.
This is the problem here. Calli has given up on opsec and it is funny to watch her yab now because of it and link things back and forth with DDK, nobody cares about that anymore. But now she's dragging her genmates into her shitty opsec when they aren't so nonchalant about it like her.
Not just Gura, but all the rest of Myth is supposed to show up there in the next few days. Isn't Calli's sister's instagram and other social media known too? If she posts anything on there during this time, I can see /vt/ autists and other undesirable people starting to figure things out. Or if whoever her sister's friends are, if they know who she is and relation to Calli/Karen, it doesn't take a genius to figure out who Karen is hanging out with and who will be there soon. The type of people to crash someone else's airbnb and have a rager don't seem like the kind you'd want hanging around in that situation. Just seems dumb and unnecessary risk all around for something that should have been avoidable or alternatives found when it hit the fan.
Also, as someone who is pretty non-confrontational and shy myself (yay midwest), saying "it's fine I'll just go to sleep off in this room" is exactly what I'd say/do but actually be really annoyed by. Even if it is a friend, maybe even moreso since you don't want to make them feel bad about it. Is Gura like that? Can't say for sure, but considering how introverted many of them seem to be, doesn't seem farfetched and just a generally crappy situation to put a friend and co-worker in.

I just like laughing at Calli being an idiot and the fanbase sperging over her. I think it is hilarious how everything she does is blown way out of proportion.
Calli's only crime is she doesn't know how to shut the fuck up and not mention shit that doesn't need to be mentioned.
Also, all Gura has to do is Tweet, "Hey, guys, thanks for the unnecessary concernfagging. I'm fine, now shut the fuck up." and it would be over with.
I know the site's reputation, but this thread is its own separate microcosm. I'm sure there are many KF alum here who get off on seeing lolcows f things up, and all of us here probably share that a bit or we wouldn't be here. But I bet a lot of, if not a majority, actually found this thread separate from KF initially and actually enjoy and care about vtubers and the people behind them. I know some of you are just here for the drama and waiting from one yab to the next, but some here have genuine concern and would prefer NOT to have crap constantly blowing up. I enjoy a cute pic of and some insight into the roommates behind them, but don't want to actually see anyone get threatened or stalked, which stuff like Calli's crappy opsec could lead to.
Anyway, I missed the initial drama last night, so now I said my piece on it.
