@Hollywood Hulk Hogan Have you been to a university? Lack of money is not even on their top 1000 list of problems.
Thinking more about it watch a ass ton of universities kill STEM for homosexual research and philosophy's once they get the Jpow money printer umbilical cord slashed

It'll let you know which universities are actually worth your time even if they're considered "lackluster"

The bolded part there. People still gotta pay those loans because less funding. State tuition went up because of cut of funding.
The federally backed loans started happening before the state cuts right after 2008, and further cuts onward. Federal policy is responsible for the situation.

Correct and most funding comes from states for state universities.
Even if that's true it's irrelevant. Say total funding = state funding + federal funding. if federal funding increases more than state funding decreases, total funding increases. It doesn't matter if state > federal or federal > state funding. But even if funding did decrease, which it hasn't, schools have money coming out of their fucking eyeballs.

Wait til their evangelical overlords tell them to change their mind on that
I don't appreciate straights like you not being honest to people so they freak out. I mean sure anything can happen, but it's extremely unlikely until the court changes substantially due to Alito's direct comments on it. I mean sure it's a concern, but you shouldn't obfuscate the current situation due to being angry with the result. This result wasn't because of evangelicals, it was because of textualism.

I don't know who you are, but goodbye.
Green Day does suck

State cuts happened before 2008, too. Tuition started going up fast in the mid 2000s.

It went up 25% between '98 and '07. That's a lot.

you'd be surprised. I suspect many people on this board would be celebrating if those cases were overturned, despite what they're saying now.

You had people on this board, during 2020, saying that Section 230 should be repealed just because Trump wanted to do so. Even though it'd mean the end of Kiwi Farms.

Its really creepy how Pro lifers view themselves as the gate keeper to people's sexual habbits.
A - I'm not pro life
B - No one is gate keeping anything. People are saying to make responsible decisions based on your life circumstances.
C - Holding your fellow citizens to a reasonable standard is not a bad thing. Just like there is nothing wrong with saying don't eat yourself into morbid obesity, there is nothing wrong with saying you shouldn't raw dog a new stranger every weekend.

I am grateful this discussion has remained largely civil, but also would like to remind everyone ITT that one of our new board goals is to agree to disagree, when it's become apparent one party will not convince the other.
Is there some sort of loose guideline for this? Or is it just one of those use common sense until you get a warning type things?

I just don't want to catch another ban for some vague unwritten rule, that shit's annoying.

You're making plenty of pro-life arguments man.

Huh, I guess I'm letting my state school's budget getting cut by 25% in 2009 color my perspective as to when it all started.

The rule of thumb I use is that when you've made the best points you think you have, and it obviously didn't sway them, to then stop engaging, or straight-up say "agree to disagree".

And I don't think anyone should be banned, so long as an extended derail is civil. At most, the repetitive posts are deleted to make the thread more readable, and everyone involved will be asked to move on. Maybe a threadban will happen if you return to the thread and keep the same argument going.

They have to do the 'lol bible thumper' 'lol sky daddy' thing because the text of the Constitution is so clearly not on their side.

As the saying goes, they can't pound the law, they can't pound the facts, so they're reduced to pounding the table.

I was lucky and had a nice scholarship, but know a ton of people who graduated around when I did that were 40k+ in debt, despite going to a public university. I hear it's far worse, now, too.

Good thing a fetus doesn't have sentience, right? It doesn't know what happens any more than the sperm that dies when you spank the monkey to anime.
When thots, sluts, and hambeasts won't even give you the time of day, anime is all you got. I'm sure you can relate.
I've been wondering when HHH would show up. Now the saltening is finally complete!

I just hope he doesn't eat another threadban before all the lulz are had.
No. Do whatever you want in terms of your habits. All pro lifers are saying is if you are doing you should have to deal with the consequence of those habits.
Just have oral sex instead, if you're so good at getting women interested in you then blowjobs shouldn't be a problem.
What do you mean? My school was so strapped for cash they could barely afford to install that third Olympic-sized pool facility.

I felt like Oliver Twist, I tells ya.
My high school didn't even have a swimming pool, yet somehow I didn't end up in jail for being a worthless drug dealing gangbanger.
I’m surprised they are still around.

Honestly should have broken up years ago because there time has been and gone.
The real tragedy is that they have outlived far more deserving bands.
