E3 (but not really) 2022

Legends only had two games (unless they went full madman and finished Legends 3) so Star Force is the most likely candidate. It had three games split into seven versions total.
There was that unreleased 3ds prolgue they could throw in, it's so close to done they even had an english version made.

I think Xenoblade 3, Dragon's Dogma 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Final Fantasy 16, Soul Hackers 2, will be the most immediate things I'll get that were shown from these events.

I'm really on the fence about Sunbreak, it's reminding me too much of Generations/Generations Ultimate and I hated the end game to that and just how they balanced things in general. Iceborne was very good as it's own expansion but Sunbreak doesn't look as focused as Iceborne was. I was not a fan of the frenzy virus in 4u either. It really made the variants too samey while also more annoying to fight.

Honestly the one thing I wish MH would do was standardize their variants so they're not just pulling new bullshit out that covered similar grounds or reinventing the wheel.

What do you guys think about Harvestella? Reminds me of Rune Factory but a bit more "mature" for lack of a better term. If it isn't woke like so many farming games now then I think I might get back into the genre. It looks good.
Farming genre isn't woke, it's just mostly played by people who are into cottagecore.

Farming sims are separate from this and attract a different demographic due to their preference on having real equipment used on large commercial farms.

Looks nice, good artstyle, will have to wait and see on the rest, the japanese release could have no woke shit and the western release could still come out and call people xim and xer with western SE these days

The fuck would you do that? it's better than every game you listed up there.
"X Game is better than unreleased games nobody has played" is peak Marissa posting.

Weren't you going off about how the reason Rune Factory 5 is successful is because it included faggotry? The genre didn't include that shit until fairly recently, and the genre dates back to at least SNES, so no, it's not just something people who like the games happen to want.

It is like a suped up Rune Factory/Harvest Moon, I love the graphics where it is clearly raised up from what most of these games get but it doesn't feel too much, it feels just right.

I also like the more 'out there' fantasy scenery like that one shot of the glowing flowers as I feel games like this don't really embrace the 'fantasy' aspect enough to keep it more 'homely' so I like being able to plant giant nightlight flowers.

It feels like a nice in-between of giving a fairly small title an actual budget to make it look good and expand on what it could do normally, but without making a small time genre like this into some mega AAA 200M release that obviously doesn't succeed. On that principle alone, I might buy it anyway if the game is actually good once I see how it plays after a week or so over the internet. This was for sure one of the few games in this direct that caught my attention.

If it'll be woke, eh it might have gay marriage but otherwise probably nothing much more then that unless the translation fucks with the script. At least the women will look good if you're into this artstyle as opposed to say Stardew Valley.

Just because something is gay doesn't make it woke.

I mentioned cottagecore which is something that can be traced all the way back to France during The Renaissance where you would have nobility larp as farmers because they yearned for the simpler days(but not the simpler days where everyone who lived in rural areas was dying of plague, the simpler days before that, that were even simplerer). And anything French is inherently gay, which is why they're codifying abortion into their constitution.

You see the gay predates video games entirely, it was always there.

Bullshit, LGBT crap is woke, especially when it starts popping up in games it never was in before.

Nobody cares about the French.

It looks interesting actually. I'd need to see a bit more but I liked what they showed

EDIT:
To elaborate on my thoughts. I liked that it seems like there is something to do instead of just farming and stuff. I enjoy having something like that to go along with my fetch quests.

LGBT stuff was not really woke there was "The Gay Agenda" which predates it, but even then it was a very loose affiliation and everything on that end was mostly corporate activist groups who exploited gay identity for profit and donations. There's large swaths of gays who just want to be left alone and not be part of anything like that.

But some would like to play as a gay character in a role playing game.

>there was "The Gay Agenda"

As if it's not still a thing. Disney confirmed.
