This implies that the Taliban were a tenacious force that eventually overcame the odds against a juggernaut when the reality is they were released from prison and started attacking the new, underpaid, undertrained and undermotivated local army and only wreaked havoc on the Afghan pullout because Biden pushed the evacuation date to September.
Tenacious? Not really, dedicated? Hell-fucking-yes, you don't hold out against the world's strongest nation and its lapdogs for 2 decades without being dedicated to your cause.

Their quick victory was, though, mostly due to complete and utter incompetence on the part of the US and Afghan governments, and not because oh muh super-soldier Cyborg Jihadis

She didn't even spell Handmaid properly?

Also God, the fucking "Literally the Handmaid's Tale" is the hoe equivalent of "Literally 1984"

Has anyone (that we can both trust to get it right and not lie) actually done a readthrough? I know it's early, but can't do it myself. I have to work today.
I skimmed through some of the ruling. In Kavanaugh’s opinion, he says that it is up to the president to decide this issue.

Filing an injunction that has to go to the court for each little thing succeeds in wasting time though. If they are still able to do that when or if Trump is reelected its still bullshit.
It seems like the ability to get courts to do anything and delay only works one way. Democrats always get bs voting lawsuits with the racist assumption “black people are too stupid to know how to get an ID” when we all know you can’t get benefits or liquor without some form of ID.

When the state and social institutions identify African-Americans as beings in need of help, they reinforce that stigma. It doesn’t matter if some African-Americans succeed without affirmative action. In the same way that enslavement marked all black people, free or slave, as inferior, affirmative action—here Thomas borrows directly from the language of Plessy v. Ferguson—stamps all African-Americans with “a badge of inferiority.”
Supreme Court Justice Thomas is 100% correct in his judgment . Generations of affirmative action forced integration and entitlement programs geared towards helping African Americans has done little in the ways prosperity. It has however allowed them to be systematically re-enslaved and used for political gain.
The unintended consequences this has had in regards to race relations in America is almost beyond repair. No single minority is more despised even amongst other minorities then blacks not only here but abroad. And for good reason look at the treatment Thomas received from his Peers
His nickname in the schoolyard and the streets was “ABC”—“America’s Blackest Child.” “If he were any blacker,” his classmates jeered, “he’d be blue.” Color was code for class. The darkness of Thomas’s skin—along with the Gullah-Geechee dialect he retained from Pin Point—was a sign of his lowly status and origin. “Clarence had big lips, nappy hair, and he was almost literally black,” a schoolmate told Jane Mayer and Jill Abramson in their 1994 book “Strange Justice: The Selling of Clarence Thomas.” “Those folks were at the bottom of the pole. You just didn’t want to hang with those kids.”

Anything and everything that inconveniences the modern liberal/democrat or disagrees with them on the smallest of things is the world ending.

Fuck I've seen the world end hundreds of times over the last 8 years. To jump on the sjw train of quoting overplayed movies - It's like Alderaan blows up every fucking week for them, but just Leia they forget about it almost immediately.

I wonder if they feel inconvenienced because Republicans and conservatives gave away a lot of ground with minimal resistance. And dont know how to deal with actual resistance other than going full retard.

Good. I used to be generally accepting of environmentalism, at least back in the normal days when we had Pelican Brief things happening.

Nowadays, it seems to be just another Trojan horse for woke fuckery, eradicating people's rights and ability to make a living to survive. It also seems connected to those who are supporting and promoting transhumanism and transgenderism (using technology to fuck around with human lives, bodies and DNA). The individuals who support one inevitably have ties to the other.

Look at some countries in the EU, where "Green Party" environmentalists are literally making it IMPOSSIBLE for normal people to own and/or drive cars in various parts of their respective countries. Vienna, for example. They're bending over backwards for rich fag bike riders, but are making it impossible or extremely costly for the elderly, women, families with young children, etc., to drive and park cars in the city. Hell, even men are getting attacked in broad daylight there, and migrants are set free due to their "PTSD" or some crazy shit. Regardless, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that walking/bike riding/public transportation is often NOT very safe in terms of rapes, muggings, thefts, etc. It's like they're risking people's lives, safety, and their economic security in order to appear "Green". Then there are constant pressures for people to accept nuclear power (and they're not far from Chernobyl), or solar power, and now they're being forced to have electric cars in a decade or two. Where are all those old "illegal" cars going to end up? In a landfill! How environmentally friendly!

It's all a big fraud-- these kinds of "environmentalism" are usually meant to enrich specific campaign donors, subcontractors who are close to politicians, companies politicians have some financial attachment to, etc.

In the case of some areas of the EU, I swear mega corporations want to take over the rural areas and their fresh Alpine water supplies. They're choking the population with environmental laws, severe Covid restrictions, excessive acceptance of refugees. There's always some grift, under the guise of "feel good" "let's save the planet!" bullshit.

How long has the left been on this pet project? I can only assume that they’re waiting for the midterms to happen so they can get a bigger stronghold to get rid of the filibuster.

Seeing as Kentaji won’t change the shift of the ideological bend, I wonder if we’re going to see all this shit going on this as a smokescreen for some judges to announce their retirement so Biden can get more liberals on there. The left can be pretty calculating when push comes to shove.

One of the most successful grifts post World War 2 has to be the liberals convincing the working man that they are their friends.

Though the other big issue are boomers stuck in the 1960s since they are a big voting bloc. And politicians always typically will help them the most with those pensions in any way possible.

I haven't seen your previous questions, so let me know if I'm misunderstanding you.

I think the downfall of the abortion debate isn't necessarily a failure in messaging. It's the opposite, people are more knowledgeable about abortion then they were even 20 years ago, let alone 50. The messaging all my life has been it's a right and should be up to the woman and her doctor. I think that's why people are losing their minds over this, because they've been raised to believe it, just like any religious dogma.

I think more people now knows what's involved in an abortion, how far along a baby is developed in the womb, the ghoulish nature of they hard core pro-choice side, and how unhappy people are with the destruction of the nuclear family. This is why I think this is going to be a non-issue come November, and completely out of the minds of people come 2024.
It's absolutely due to a failure in messaging, specifically that the messaging is now out of anyone's control.
Social media killed the pro-choice movement. Before social media, the pro-choice position was articulated by politicians and activists from pro-choice NGOs, who couched their advocacy in the notion that abortion should be available as a measure of last resort, to responsible couples practicing proper family planning and using contraceptives. As mentioned elsewhere ITT, the go-to slogan was "safe, legal and rare".

Now, that almost certainly never was what was going on behind the scenes, especially in the ghetto abortion clinics, but that's how it was sold. With the rise of twitter/facebook/tumblr and the corresponding rise in hashtag activism, the casual, self-important, even gleeful attitudes many pro-choice supporters had towards abortion were broadcast widely to the world, instead of between individuals. Unironically the first time #ShoutYourAbortion trended, it sounded the death knell for the popularity of expanded abortion access laws around the country.

Catladies and empowered professional women tweeting shit like "Fetus Deletus" and suggesting having an abortion was a feminist statement did more to damage the pro-abortion movement than any kind of right-wing propaganda ever could.

Is all this rampant Pro life no matter what attitude here something you actually believe, or is it just for comedy to ‘own da libs’
i realize that the silent majority is silent and all, but you're finally seeing it speak up. Every child deserves a chance to make their own life, whether or not their parents want them or whether or not they are likely to take advantage of that opportunity.

I don't care that abortion bans mean more joggers, they too have a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Even one more Clarence Thomas would justify 1000 george floyds.
It’s hard to tell sometimes, honestly people saying they should have their kid no matter Is Just lunacy and there are absolutely women who would benefit from abortions in some way.
fuck benefits, people are so obsessed with their convenience they get lost in the fact that you're killing a baby.

Personally, i think any woman who would have an abortion that wasn't medically necessary deserves the rope. I am not alone.
Yes women and people should be responsible for their own bodies but not everyone can, we’re humans and make mistakes and end up in relationships were we maybe the wrong choices.
so end the relationship, not the child.
Thsi idea that every woman should be perfect and adhere to a strict Puritan code because your so high and mighty is insane. Get out your head out of your ass, fucking snobs.
Here is the cold hard reality: no one gives a fuck about your sob story or your character flaws. I didn't put a gun to anyone's head to make them have sex, i don't care when consequences for their actions hit them in the face.

You. Do. Not. Have. A. Right. To. Have. Sex. It is a reward for reproducing and no amount of crying will ever change that. Wake the fuck up or get left behind, but we are done coddling your delusions.

If you libs keep pushing, you will end up with a Christian ethnostate.

It's all part of the Davos "own nothing" plan. They want the land, they want the water and they most of all want to get rid of any uppity farmers or otherwise relatively self sufficient people outside of MEGACITY#420

My point is that those autists continued to sperg no matter how badly they got BTFO'd. We made them replace their #1 guy like 20 times, ignored Pakistan's sovereignty to kill Bin Laden, and installed a government of Afghans that didn't have anywhere near the resolve that the Taliban had, despite massive technology and financial advantages.

They were not some terrifying force of god, but you can't reason with or intimidate true believers.
