Fact is there is a time and place to use cold, or at least room temperature, marinara sauce when dipping something. And it's when you want that contrast between hot and cold. Or it helps to cool down what you're eating.

His, almost autistic, demand that marinara sauce ALWAYS be served warm shows he's not getting the point of a dipping sauce. It's used for flavor yes. But it can also be used as a contrast or a quick way to cool something down.
