Tbh I don't really mind Ame's studio completely funded by herself. That way, it's completely hers and she can do whatever she wants with it. If Cover funded it, god knows after she graduated maybe they would ask her to either mail the equipment to them or reimburse back the funding.

Yeah, as much as I wish Cover would (and hope Cover does) offer her all the instruction and support she needs, having them act like contractors and fund their own albums and covers and making Ame have to learn how all this shit works will ultimately make her stronger and put her in a better position. It will also give her more juice when it comes to negotiating with Cover itself, because she’ll be less dependent on them. Cover is a good hybrid model, giving the girls a salary for tough times but still letting them grow into independent powerhouses. Trying to limit the talents too much has not been historically successful for them lol.

Well, look at it this way - tbh it was either this or her fade into obscurity, possibly with egg on her face.
I get the general sense of disappointment but idk to me it feels expected. It was unlikely she'd end up at another Japanese corp since corpo culture over there probably quietly enforces noncompete, and vshojo is the "rising trend" outside of Japanese vtuber corps.
It sucks, I feel like she could have kept at it longer and seen the fruits of her labor, but tbh she probably wants stability at this point.

I'll try to be optimistic and say this could at least hopefully lead to more fluid interactions with JP vtubers and ironmouse who is the only vshojo I still occasionally watch. She has been on a roll lately interviewing other vtubers and if kson was available to help with translating or teaching her some Japanese that could help.
The weird thing about it is that other than a stable paycheck and marketing I don't see what vshojo has to offer kson in a similar sense lol she speaks English better than some of the glue eaters I went to school with and does know her shit. Maybe she's long gaming it to become a manager type. Or maybe the "hands off" management style of vshojo appeals to her.

All this is the fault of the chinese. I blame them for the bimbofication of the dragon woman. The chinks poisoned the water and now the bitch has lost her god damn mind.
