And if they ARE selling them at cost, well, it's too expensive says the potato brained pedophile, and it's making him look bad, so Apple should sell them below cost for the good of his re-election.

They don't have to ask. There are only 3 electric grids in the country. If California uses more power than they should, the rest of the states on that grid can just get fucked, because there's no way the feds let Californiastan go dark. They can't have such an obvious example of Leftist policies failing.

Remember, they faked an power grid scandal (Enron) to get rid of a politician they didn't like.

My family is in one of those California-connected states and their power company just changed to a tiered pricing model, so that they can charge more during California peak hours and months. Their bill is already nearly double what it was last year, and we're not even getting to the time of year the mooches in California will be really sucking the grid dry. I'm trying to warn them that it won't be double in a few months, it'll be triple or higher, but, you know how it goes -- "But his tweets."

Even if Trump gets back in, he can't just cut them off or force them to reform. They wouldn't reform, for one, and for two, the Press would just go "Look what TRUMP DID to the COMPLETLY FUNCTIONAL state of California!"

The consent decree, which formally prohibited Republicans from ever challenging leftist election engineering because muh racism.

Such a serious blow to the left that they have tried to put it in an as an amendment in every single bill they've tried to force through since.
California needs to die and Trump will have to tell the press to piss off.

Or DeSantis can do it since California is trying to encroach on Florida.

In what way is California trying to encroach on Florida?

And yeah, I agree that California needs to fail so it's people finally rise up and throw the left out so the healing can begin. But realistically we're not there yet and won't be for a while. I anticipate some DSA front like AOC swooping in and stealing the state after Pelosi retires or the like and then things will get REALLY fun. Welcome to literally not being allowed to own a car for the good of the magic earth mother, plebians.

You didn't hear about Newsom running commercials over there?

The only thing that will truly kill California is the very thing they are already doing, creating an increasingly toxic and dangerous business environment for the low level services and goods economy. And its the very same thing that the federal government can't save them from.

When you legalize criminal activity, make it illegal to protect your staff or your products, make it illegal to hire good workers over bad, and then punish any business that has the gall to price according to these risks and costs, you drive out the gas stations, the corner stores, the drug stores, even the supermarkets. You can have the most diverse staff at the high flying silicon valley tech startup in the world, paying 50% taxes for the priviledge of being in california, only for those staff to not be able to buy a case of beer and some ramen noodles on the way home, they will leave. Business is already leaving. Those that remain are doing so on borrowed time, and the higher administration has made it exceedingly clear that they don't care if those restaurants and small shops fail. They'll make token bailouts here and there, but even those they prop up will fail to grow, just stay stagnant.

You can give people UBI, free drugs, feelgood immigration policies, mandatory minimum wage increases, the whole nine yards, and still fail when they can't buy bread. Not because the bread is too expensive, not because the bread is too scarce, not because the bread isn't woke enough - but because the bakery closed and went to Texas. Californias death will be one of economic uninhabitability.

Paper can be counterfeit, modified, and destroyed. Poll watchers can be forced to watch from hundreds of feet away or flat out removed from the property while ballots are still being handled. Digital and paper records were destroyed on a criminally large scale. The 72 IQ black women controlling the vote counting have no problems throwing away or double scanning unencrypted paper ballots.

Anything that can be done to remove human interaction in the process while creating total transparency is probably the only sustainable long term option. If anyone cries foul for any reason, the unmanipulated data is totally accessible by anyone and not protected by copyright/patent law and/or the proprietor being in a foreign country.

I'm a big 10th amendment guy, but handing the federal election process totally over to the states just means that most states will have fair elections while a few with tons of electoral votes will be at the whim of the DNC.

Ohhh I really disagree with that. I think a paper ballot and a hand count are just fine. Put up cameras in the rooms so you can see the people counting and also put cameras over the desks of the people counting which have a clear view of the vote as it is counted. If you were to digitize or use computers for anything, I think the best place to do that would be with some sort of anonymized means of ensuring that votes counted are tied to votes cast, no more and no less.
Honestly, 2020 has told me that there’s no way to have full election integrity unless there’s people with guns nearby and people ready for fistfights the minute they see something. I never thought we’d see Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and the Marvel vs Capcom folks find something to do after EVO, but here we are.
Every Left Coast state is like this. It's a few ultra-pozzed city states along the coastline setting the agenda for the suburbs and interior.
Jay Inslee hasn't ever won Washington by more than 10 points, as often as not it's closer to 5. Kate Brown hasn't ever won Oregon with more than a razor-thin margin.
And they want that model to spread to the nation. Wasn’t the 2016 popular vote determined entirely by California?

They've done it before.

Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, WA, were all "encouraged" by the Feds to help out with SoCal's brownouts.

You'd be seeing commercials reminding you to curtail your power use, turn on the TV, and see LA lit the fuck up like a circus.
Quote from the governor of Washington (emphasis mine):
While Washington state faced the wettest start to the summer in over 70 years, other states are preparing for sweltering temperatures that will catastrophically disrupt our fragile electrical grid.
He flat out says that he’ll sell power to California before making sure that his own citizens have power.

He's also decommed like 4 perfectly good hydro plants to virtue signal over native holy rivers. I'm amazed he hasn't interfered with the new nuclear plant in the tri-cities area.

Yes, Hillary won by 3 million nationwide, but 4 million in California. This is why pushing the popular vote as a better winning metric than the electoral college just empowers the most dumb, servile part of the population's voting rights.

I got the quote from an article talking about that.

That's why I don't believe that the Dems have actually won the popular vote in recent presidential elections. Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii all have their polls close after the rest of the country, all of them have sketchy elections, and they have every incentive to run up the popular vote count to prove that the election was "stolen" by the electoral college.

Looked at it for a few seconds, immediately had a laugh at the $1,400 stimulus checks line. The original line was $2,000, which was the first thing to go once the rescue plan was passed. Heck, the line they tried for a little while was "our $1,400 plus Trump's $600 gives Americans the $2,000 we promised." Additionally, a lot of those are breakdowns of what was passed in the bills he signed! You can't list "$1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan" and then put a breakdown of what that money went toward underneath without any marker distinguishing the two. That just bloats the image and makes them look like they're all separate accomplishments. That's just disingenuous.
Two thirds of this are just trying to make hay out of legislative actions that Biden had zero say in. And the remainder is mostly things that only appeal to Democrats and which are also somehow simultaneously meaningless. I suspect this was -meant- to be something to help rally the troops. Sure as shit wasn't meant to appeal to independents.

Consider also that they might've turned a blind eye to the election shit, in fear that if it was looked into and Biden still won, that they'd keep up the talk of packing the supreme court.

Which they almost immediately and haven't stopped bringing up packing the supreme court since.
I suspect that SCOTUS staying out was a few things. First it would look improper as fuck since Trump had so many SCOTUS picks. Them choosing him would honestly look like a coup. Second would be that it would be utterly unprecedented and would have massive legal ramifications going forward, all things SCOTUS has always been shy about. Third and finally, the Democrats at the top were making a good show of pretending like it would totally be a stewardship presidency, that they wouldn't do anything to fucky.

Of course, as soon as the ink was dry on the page they went back on that. Which is a large part of why Red states aren't going to play ball again and why SCOTUS is a lot less likely to sit out if something comes to them. The first no longer applies, the second no longer applies as this SCOTUS has signalled -hard- in the past week that it stopped caring about rocking the boat, and the Democrats have thoroughly disproven the third.

Now, whether them doing something will amount to anything is uh... a lot less likely. But at least they are not likely to try to wave it all away.

@Oxous Reply bug.
Hillary being pushed is just like, and probably also by the same people who, pushing DeSantis. The hope was DeSantis would totally start a beef with Trump and run so they could astroturf the fuck out of him and take advantage of the schism that would create to hold onto power. This failed every time they did it.

So, now they want to avoid having to admit everything is their fault, so they astroturf Hillary to hopefully run so that when she inevitably fails they can blame it all on her and never ever admit it was their fault.

That's ok, all Californians have formal red state approval to stay in California and never leave.

I'm going to laugh if enough Californians eventually flee the bughives to eventually flip some of the core issues over to red. The salt from the Californian infighting alone would be spectacular.

It's more than just fighter jets, most vehicles need them now too. Are entire economy needs superconductors to function.

Couple pages back but it can't be overstated how bad this might get. It's not just the expensive complex parts, electronic parts that should be common as dirt are becoming ridiculously scarce.

My parents' stove shit itself a few days ago. They're retired and fixed income and were panicking about it since there's no feasible way to get it replaced without paying absurd prices due to where they are and the difficulty of removing it (third floor, stairs only) It gets brought up to me and I'm like 'it's a stove. give me 30 minutes'.

Skip forward to the relevant part: one of the relays has blown. It's an incredibly common part and simple repair. I expect to be out and back in an hour with a replacement. None of the local stores have any stock. Amazon doesn't have any in stock. Third parties on Amazon that claim to have them in stock don't and are backordered 3 months. Every single eBay seller selling them is a Chinese dropshipper. I finally find a couple in stock on digikey (which claims to have <200 remaining) and wind up dropping 15 bucks for what should have been a 5 dollar part available at any decent electronic/auto shop.

It's kind of absurd we don't have more US production of relatively simple parts like this that can be fabricated without trillion dollar nanometer processes.

Planned obsolescence is a feature, not a bug. The goal is to get people to just say "fuck it" and buy a new stove. Those that can't? Fuck 'em.

Republican-aligned judges stayed out of it because the party, as a whole, had been looking for a way since day one to expel Trump without destroying the party itself. The whole point of the Mueller investigation, for example, was to find some dirt on Trump that they could impeach him for and maintain plausible deniability that it wasn't a hit by party bosses. J6 is the same thing. If the parties were reversed, do you think Democrats would even tolerate someone in their leadership doing what Liz Cheney is doing? For even five seconds? All these conservative judges thought they could finally be rid of Trump, MAGA, and the people's annoying insistence that the government should represent them, by using procedural arguments to dismiss the fraud cases.

We could have it. We would need federal legislation requiring the states to demonstrate they have secure processes and do regular audits, with severe penalties for failure to maintain election integrity. We don't have this because Democrats would fight tooth and nail, and Republicans think tax cuts are a cheat code to win elections, so they can just ignore all that ugly stuff that requires really going to the mattresses and fighting.

Stakeouts.
Brawls in precincts.
Postal trucks gunned down.
Uprooting of mailboxes.
Chasing faggots carrying boxes by the precincts at 3AM, Alex Jones "Come on over here!" style.

niggas would've learned nothing if it doesn't happen.

Florida, Ohio, and now if that law remains in place, Missouri, are the only states that will reliably count quickly and efficiently. Sad. Everywhere else will have to look like Fight Club.

Security cameras and microphones, preferably hidden so the Shaniquas don't know about them. Body cameras for MAGA election workers.

Cameras on any and all dropboxes, especially. Any suspicious activity, like someone driving in at 3 AM and dropping a huge mass of ballots, should be investigated before the elections. Dropboxes should be locked before sunset, or emptied out so suspicious vote drops at 3 AM can be quarantined.

Organized response to rigging. Trump campaign and GOP should have organized groups of lawyers in every swing state, Groups of 10, 20, 50 lawyers, all ready to respond. The left WILL jam the phones with fake calls if they can, so make sure there are alternate venues -- Every politicians' phone number in the state should be ready to transfer people to the legal hotline. No, not "give the phone number to the caller," transfer the caller to a secret internal line or take information down for a ticket, IT helpdesk style, and be given over to the legal team via Signal or Telegram.

Every church, every gun club, every conservative group at all should be organizing carpools for as many people as they can. Especially the elderly. Every conservative should give their employees time to go vote.

Pamphlets and legal rights training for all righty election officials, so when they state "you have to leave" or "you have to sit 18 feet away behind a fence" they can say "no, I don't, and won't." Yes, they'll try to have you arrested, that's why you have a group of lawyers on call to immediately have one show up and make threats while another lawyer contacts a judge to get a restraining order.

Constitution says elections end on election night, so any attempts to count past midnight local time should be stopped. Machines should be sealed and taken into custody and uncounted ballots flagged or destroyed. Polling stations or districts that corrupt their voting totals should be expunged from the statewide count. They'll call you racist for this, but who cares, they do that anyway.

No, the judiciary does not have the authority to overrule the state legislature on voting. A judge that orders votes to be counted illegally should be ignored. An appeals court that sides with that judge should be ignored. A SCOTUS that sides with that appeals court should be ignored. No, the Judiciary cannot declare itself as having the power to overrule the legislature when the constitution specifically grants this power to (and only to) the legislature.

I'm hoping big things in the Virginia. The 2023 Senate election should finally push the R's over the edge and have a full R control in the State House, Senate, and Gov to push through the finally bit of election integrity.

Didn't Arizona in 2016 and 2018 have a fuck ton of 3 AM ballot dumps out of people toyota corollas etc. and nothing happened. The kind of actions that would have made everyone call out a third world country in Africa and South America.

Though I can't find any news stories regarding those ballot dumps. Either gone or the SEO is fucked.

I sincerely hope that the days of people being apathetic over that kind of shit is over.
