Eh, bad optics is often enough though, isn't it? When people talk about your company and always go "Oh yeah, remember that Nux thing?", it's not great. Their only real hopes of growth is trying to get established streamers to jump onto their platform because who would apply for them now when the last time it was a fake dox that they let happen? And then if you are an established streamer, you have to consider if it's a good idea to jump to a company with bad management and a bad reputation.
You can be both. For the Vtubing community as a whole, VShojo is totally irrelevant. For the "indie EN" scene they are a big deal. If they shit themselves and imploded, it would be the thing to make them relevant, because they're the big fish in a tiny pond. For none wrestling autists, TNA was a "rival" show to WWE after the collapse of the other major company, WCW. TNA had lots of young, impressive talent that they were pushing but were VERY much an "indie" show seen as being a proving ground before you moved onto bigger shows like WWE... then after WCW died a bunch of talent didn't want to work for WWE so they got hired up by TNA who tried to act like a big dog with these new recognisable names. Then anytime a WWE wrestler quit or was fired, TNA would snatch them up. Very quickly all of their own homegrown talent was buried to make room for their new "big names". TNA quickly became a joke and I think it's gone bankrupt (again). That's just what VShojo is doing with Coco and Rushia. They're picking up Hololive's scraps and they're trying to make a big deal of it... just like TNA did. TNA died a VERY hard death. Numerous changes of owners, numerous talents quitting on enmasse, several bankrupt sagas. Basically everyone ended up going back to WWE after awhile because that's where the money actually was and TNA was left with a tiny pool of nobodies, even their own homegrown talent all left to WWE to other smaller wrestling shows that had overtaken them in popularity.
That's probably quite spergy for non-wrestling fans but it was the first thing that comes to mind as someone who likes another form of niche entertainment. VS is just starting to act like TNA did in the early 2000s by running to pick up the bigger channel's cast offs. Vtubing doesn't have the same number of castoffs from big companies though as WWE would have which is a plus but it wouldn't surprise me if HL keeps growing, they'll start cutting their less well performing members. You'll have a "Baki-Ruze" appearing in VS a week after Aki-Rose gets graduated.

I agree tho that this thread & /vt/ doesnt represent the whole vtuber fanbase, but that doesnt mean we are the only ones who have that opinion or perception about vshojo, its because these places allows more freedom and anonimity than other pages:
- Twitter doesnt allow to put a lot of information in a single tweet, your comments and threads get lost & you can get ratiod.
- Reddit its a hugbox with barely any space for a contary opinion, Discord servers are even worse & private.
- Youtube comments, even if allows more sentences than twitter, put the hugboxxy comments on the top with many likes on them. Any response to those comments are buried.
So if in those places you dont see too much negativity its not because the mayority thinks like that, its because its heavily moderated & favors the positive comments over the complaints.
Now personally i dont think vshojo its a shitty company like WACTOR for example, but their talents have an awful attitude and it shows like in the first reply i made, they aint saints, and even Calli (the most "hated" member of holoEN) doesnt reach their levels of awfulness.

I think you're forgetting that places like r/hololive pretty openly roasted Calli during the cuckbeat debacle and that people do express discontent and negativity there plenty unimpeded by the moderation there usually what will get people the boot is either overtly acting like a schizo raging, or just saying shit like roomate info or loading their messages with shit like retard/nigger/faggot that should be obvious is going to get snuffed out outside of places like this. It does get downvoted into oblivion, and much of what you describe here falls into similar territory, twitter comments getting ratiod, youtube comments favoring hugboxxy comments, platforms "favoring the positive" but that stuff is because that's what most of the people on those platforms thinks in an actual observable metric even if one thinks the negative just doesn't get upvoted because it gets buried, if a majority disagreed with the hugboxxy shit, than why doesn't the hugbox get downvoted, because the majority agrees with it is the obvious answer.

While yeah I'm not married to the idea that it's definitely her, I do think this is a step up from when people thought Vox was Connor, at least insofar as this seems a lot more widespread and a lot more people seem to have heard it as her voice where the connor thing was pretty small in scope, Even normie fans I talk to outside of here immediately thought it sounded like Rushia.

Slightly pissed to see them get fucked over like that and seemingly no one with a platform raising up a stink about it. Even worse it seeing people who actually use his clips as content not even talk about it brings awareness to it. On the positive side, it got resolved.
