Anyway, somehow not surprised at this graduation. She was hyped as a vtuber for an actual airline, her artist was yueko and she even got rigged by Iron Vertex, and then nothing became of it. Kurumi got easily overtaken by almost every other startup and just nothing happened with her at all. I don't think AirAsia did anything with her either.

Nyanners only apologized because the drama was developing and it was beginning to backfire pretty badly against VShojo, but probably Nyanners most of all. There's a significant difference between "I'm going to apologize because I genuinely feel like shit for what I've done" and "oh fuck the crowd are turning against me I need to say something".

I mean, the way VShojo in general handled that was less than adequate imo. Settling in DMs is not an appropriate response for dragging someone's name through the dirt and trying to completely blacklist them from the community. Why did it go private as soon as it was convenient for them?

Coomers ruin everything. It just gets annoying when it's literally the only thing on the brain. They end up completely lacking a personality and they're just boring to talk to because all they can think about is the sex they'll never have.

I know someone who's a massive coomer. You'd be surprised how often they talk about cum. You'd think it's like finding water on mars given how constantly amazed they are by it. They literally spend half of their life talking about cum.

Honestly I've never understood why anyone not on a corporate payroll cares about "opsec". Like no shit there are real people behind these models - mostly very ordinary people. I enjoy pro wrestling and Takarazuka, and in both of those most performers' real names are open secrets, and I've never once felt like knowing someone is "really" Dwayne or Phil or whoever hurts my enjoyment of the performances.
Even back in the Kizuna Ai days, to me vtubers just felt like regular streamers with avatars, since they're doing the same things and they're fun for the same reasons.
(The coomer side of things sure, that's definitely a matter of taste and I can see why people wouldn't like that)

The more and more people know about their real selves, the more likely it is a stalker will find their address. Now admittedly, it is very obvious and it's not like it happens to all streamers but I don't mind them using this as a safety net.
