It's gonna be interesting to see biden loose the mid terms and electionm covid hysteria is down democrats demonstrated why a one party rule is a failure
The more I think about it, the more I think that there will be SOME sort of internal coup attempt by the Democrats when they lose big in November. IE certain elements on the DNC side will say "we have to declare martial law, start arresting GOP politicians/conservatives/critics of the DNC, and to hell with having a reason beyond "they are enemies of democracy" when we do it!".

It most likely will get squashed, because someone will leak it and the coup plotters forced to back down, but I think there will be a serious move by some people IE the AOCs and her ilk, to not accept the Democrats losing as badly as they are going to lose and pretty much throw the proverbial game board onto the floor in a hissy fit because they lost Congress and deciding to go all in on turning America into a commie/left wing dictatorship. Because they've reached the point where the public has rejected them and them just point blank going psycho ex-girlfriend on the public because of fear of retaliation for the left's bullshit happening.

It is why he largely remained neutral to Trump. Like the man and his policies all you want, Trump is a bull in a China shop and McConnell had and has plenty of legitimate reason to be sceptical of the man's ability to retain the senates dignity. Yet, he also never actually betrayed Trump.
Bullshit

Mitch repeatedly cock blocked Trump with shit like appointments. He kept doing pro forma senate hearings to prevent the senate officially going into recess so Trump could do recess appointments. That was Mitch actively working against Trump.

People kept blaming Trump for his having backstabbers around him when you had Mitch doing this nonsense which prevented Trump having the people around him that he may have wanted.

Senate schedules more pro forma sessions after Trump demands adjournment

The Senate scheduled another two weeks of pro forma sessions Thursday, just a day after President Trump demanded senators either return to town or adjourn.

The Senate is now slated to meet roughly every three days until May 4, when senators are expected to return to Washington.

Initially, the Senate had planned on recessing through Friday, with lawmakers returning on Monday. But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Wednesday that he was extending the recess in consultation with medical professionals and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).

There were rumors that a major reason Trump had so many bad advisors and backstabbers early on was that he was basically letting Mitch decide who to let in, and Mitch kept screwing Trump over with toxic picks.

The pro forma senate thing has been on going under every president since 2007 and is a bit of an ongoing tit for tat between McConnell and the Democrats ever since Reid pulled that. It wasn't anti-Trump.

It existing doesn’t make it a neutral thing to do.

It was something Mitch actively chose to do to fuck over Trump.

It makes sense to use whatever legal processes are available to mess with the opposing party, doing it to your own party shows you’re opposing them.

This just shows you didn't read past the blurb on my post. Or was blinded by that bit. Did you not read the bit where I clearly said that he is in his own faction which holds disdain for all other factions? Or the part where I said he was skeptical of Trump?

Keeping an ongoing policy ongoing is in fact neutral. Removing it would be a non-neutral act as it would be to the direct benefit of one side. If he holds equal disdain to all other parties, why would he actively benefit one instead of simply continuing an ongoing policy?

Neutrality doesn't mean you make sure you do nothing that will inconvenience anyone. That is just silly.

I don’t think so. Leftists have a habit of being very cold and calculated and methodical. Especially when it comes to trying to keep Donald Trump out of a second term.

That’s is only the financial leadership. If someone gave them a better deal, the jackboots would manifest and all of the insanity from progressives would be gone in record time. Remember that the shareholders were promised money they haven’t gotten yet so the door is in fact wide open right now.

I would only believe that if and only if Republicans were the party of Trump.

I’m a bit hungover but this looks retarded to me to act like actively working against someone isn’t being against them.

I don’t know why you’d think him wanting to do his own thing is praiseworthy when it means he was fucking over people like you and me.

A trustworthy brute might well be better than a deceitful gentleman.
Not just that but you can work with a man who has his own sacrosanct principles, even if you don't agree with them or him. McConnell wants the Senate looking pristine and formal, and Trump is a man of his word. If Donnie promised to keep the mud out of the Senate so long as he was allowed to run his own affairs, that's got to be quite the offer. "Here's what I want out of the Senate, and what can you give me out of that, and as for me, I'll let you run it the way you want. Separation of powers, my friend."
I've always viewed him as nothing short of a professional horse-trader.
What a shame Donald Trump never wrote a book all about making the best deals one can.

Mitch McConnell fucks over everyone, though. Remember his warning to Harry Reid about how he'll regret ditching the filibuster?

WNBA Star asks Biden for help

Didn’t she get caught smuggling drugs into Russia? After the US seized every Russian-owned yacht they could get their hands on using bogus “money laundering” charges as the justification, I doubt the Russians care about “illegally” detaining someone they caught with drugs. They may pursue the maximum sentence for political reasons, but I have no reason to doubt that her trial will be fair.

I also found this quote in an article about the trial:
Three employees of the U.S. embassy, including deputy chief of mission Elizabeth Rood, were present in the courtroom.
Biden is already “helping” this woman.
