The Xenoblade direct didn't interest me but it was more entertaining that most of the other stuff I had seen. And the best friends showcase direct also didn't really grab my attention but then I ended up seeing some neat stuff and it was better than most of the other stuff I had seen. Plus there probably will be a direct soon since it would make sense when you consider Nintendo releases a direct every three or four months and the last one was in February I think.
So as far as I can tell Nintendo has saved E3 twice this year already. Awooo!

I don't think so. VP2 was a prequel and I'm not sure where this one fits in. I would guess it will only have loose connections to the old games for new players.
