He got excited by the picture of ribs on the front, the picture of the burger on the menu, the pictures hanging on the walls, and the pictures in the menu. Normally I'd not even acknowledge these comments, but I recall him specifically saying in several recent JOTGs that pictures in the menu are a good thing. Such an odd obsession for him to randomly develop.

But dipping the tacos not being authentic, arent birria tacos themselves a 'gringo thing'? Birria as a dish isnt but I read that having them as tacos started at some food truck in LA or San Diego or some shit, although the guy who made that place did live and work in Jalisco.

Like a lot of foods there's always going to be controversy over who started what and where. Maybe it started from some guy from Jalisco or maybe it's some old timey recipe from Jalisco that got Americanized.

All I know is if you go to Jalisco and ask for one it comes without dip.

If he's admitted that then I missed it but then I also don't pay much attention to him and pay more attention to how poorly he cooks. But he's still always pushing KEETOOOO recipes or maybe I should say "healthy" recipes as far as he's concerned.

Except he finally removed his hat when eating. I think this has to be a first that he's finally shown to have some manners to remove his hat when sitting down.

Agree, but I think the winner of the Ugliest & Most Un-Photogenic Food Award goes to Jewish/Yiddish cuisine.

Don’t get me wrong- latkes, kugel, bagels & lox, and deli hold a special place in my heart. Growing up, I had a best friend down the street whose Jewish mother made the most amazing brisket. One of the ingredients she used to make it was French onion soup.

But cholent? Gefilte fish? Matzah ball soup? Yeeeaaahhh, you’re not going to see many people posting pictures of those to Instagram. Jewish food is delicious, but it’s not the prettiest looks-wise. Even brisket has a tendency to look un-presentable.

And the whole dipping the tacos into the broth? That's a gringo and pocho thing. Go down to Jalisco and ask for that and they'll look at you funny. It's the same as when American tourists go to Italy and ask for some olive oil and balsamico to dip their bread into. It's just not something that is done over there.

Been meaning to ask this for awhile, what the fuck is up with the JOTG intro song? I see it referred to as the fart song by some people, or maybe they’re talking about something else. I’ve tried searching KF, google, and reading comments on some of the first JOTG videos but I can’t figure out what the hell this song is or where it came from. Is there a link to the full thing? It’s so fucking awful that it actually makes me laugh out loud.

I used to be fairly active in this thread. I started hearing the jack on the go intro song In these daunting and dreadful dreams I was having and I knew I was time to step back and take a break. It’s such a horrible noise. It reminds me of clowns
