I dunno man my liberal friends unironically think needing an ID to vote is archaic and regressive. We should just let anyone who shows up vote because they're being brave Resistors in Trump's America!
This is at least partially based on the cop fear.
Basically, the argument goes that, well, let's set the basics first. The cops are racist (you have to start in their mindset). Therefore, they target marginalised groups in disproportionately high numbers. These marginalised groups vote more for democrats than republicans.

If they were to require voter ID to vote, then anyone who was going to do their vote would effectively verify that they are at that location at that time, so the cops could arrest them.

this is the logic, but it's very visibly braindead. Anyone with even a quarter brain could point out, for example, that you need to use voter id to get most minimum wage and unemployed benefits, and that means you will identifiably be at certain places far more consistently than the voting booth. To say nothing of the optics of police arresting people AT THE VOTING BOOTHS. IF the police were really willing to do that, it'd have to be for someone so heinous that it was undeniably a good thing if they didn't get to vote.

The whole thread is :story: if you want a good laugh and there are over 4000 comments as of now

That first paragraph is copy pasta worthy.
The first paragraph? The last paragraph is quoting the fucking simpsons.

To say nothing of how the episode was pointing out essentially how ridiculous this is.

At the end of the day, as long as the Democrats have your vote guaranteed, they have literally no reason to change.

I'd be okay with DeSantis as president but not enthusiastic. That means he leaves Florida behind as a vanguard governor, I would much prefer a third swing for a Trump presidency. I know what Trump wants as a president, but what does DeSantis want? Is he pro-wall? What's his immigration policy? Would he sanction China? Would he be pro-oil and pro-nuclear?

"If we have voter ID, then fugitive criminals won't vote" doesn't sound like an argument against voter ID.

I suspect the best case scenario for Republicans in 2024 would be if Trump and DeSantis swapped places, with DeSantis running for President and Trump running for governor of Florida.
DeSantis is overrated. Trump is the most electable Republican candidate, his 'baggage' is overstated especially given that other R candidates would have tons of 'baggage' generated for them if they clinched the nomination. 2020 was an election that should've been a Dem landslide given the horrendous conditions of the country (see how 1932 was a Dem landslide), but despite unprecedented election fraud it was a close race that Trump legitimately won. DeSantis almost flubbed it against Gillum in 2018 (see the 'monkey this up' nonsense).

Biden says when he took office, the economy was so bad families were lined up for miles just to put a box of food into the trunk of their cars.

Narrator: This did not happen in 2020, but may occur in 2022, 2023 pending further developments in the Biden Economic Disaster. Biden is probably remembering a previous economic disaster he lived through, perhaps Carter's recession of the 70s.

Keeping Joe Biden the slightest bit coherent must be doing wonders for Alzheimer's research.

Joepedo is in Ohio today blabbering about jobs and trying to campaign, but Tim Ryan isn't there, and notice how one camera makes it look Trump-packed but the other video shows how small his crowd is. 2nd and 3rd videos are him being disappointed in all of us.

People are starting to notice his "not a joke" tick.

So Putin is controlling our economy? Is Joe Biden an agent of Putin?

Or they were lined up for miles to have a coof test taken out of a box because someone said we had the black, errrrrrrrrrrr, racially sensitive death going on.

The really important thing about this list is that the first four items are basically and unarguably the same item: The Economy. Meaning that 63% of the country is concerned about one very specific issue with abortion and guns being a very, VERY distant second and third respectively. You could also argue that unemployment, tuition costs, housing/rent and possibly health care are also part of the economy issue, which makes things even worse for the Democrats, honestly.

The bottom line is that pushing for Abortion and Gun Control really isn't going to work out for the Dems as far as the mid-terms go.
I'm glad gun control will always be a loosing battle and no amount of emotional reactions and euros inserting themselves woll change anything

Man this gaslighting is getting out of hand.
Not gaslighting, just massive misrepresentation. People were actually indeed lined up in their cars, for miles in some extreme cases, to get a case of food put into their car from a food bank. People had to do this due to overwhelmingly democratic governors and mayors shutting cities down and completely crippling these families, leaving them in the lurch and expected to figure it out. Many turned to food banks, and the demand generated the lines.

Pretending it was due to the general economic condition as opposed to "We literally made it illegal for these people to work for their daily bread and they had to drown charities in their need" is an incredible misrepresentation.

I've seen some people say Desantis is a better bet, due to not being smeared and tripped up by the Pee Tape, Russiagate, Ukrainegate, Two Scoops, Fishfood etc etc. All completely manufactured pieces.

What makes you think the establishment won't pull the same thing on Desantis as soon as he decides to run?
Simple answer... they got zero, FUCKING ZERO to pee-pee tape him with. He's a family man with hot wife and ZERO baggage.

All their arguments are immediately thrown to defeat against a real American.
