We should’ve probably all seen it coming, but it turns out a “hobby” centered around sitting in front of a TV all day and playing as someone other than yourself creates/attracts a lot of abnormal people.

These people are too loud and obnoxious to share online spaces with normies, and since you can’t just call them retards anymore, all the normal people are pushed off from public sites.

Gaming forums were always insane. The only difference is that in the 2000s gaming message boards were the only outlets to chat about games, now the well-adjusted normies have abandoned them and just talk about them on facebook and discord.

This retard in particular seems to be unaware of Abe’s gender despite commenting multiple times in the thread. Or maybe he’s not respecting Abe’s preferred pronouns. Someone needs to add “he/him” to the thread title to make sure this stops happening.

Messofanego is a THERAPIST?! Imagine going to THIS guy to solve your problems. You're sitting on a couch trying to work through your confidence issues, and your therapist spends hours a day on Resetera whining, and had to have a marriage arranged for him.

But maybe it's a typo and he meant to say he's "the rapist".

Nope, he's mentioned it quite a bit. This is also the guy who has spent years in the Dating GAF/ERA threads giving "advice" and literally posts about wanting a panopticon state overseeing the internet.

I bet he has many successful patients.

I put Lightning Count's post in spoilers because it's a bit long. But it's an interesting read and I recommend it for curiosity's sake. But in case you just don't want to sit through his misery, here's a summary:
- He's depressed, insecure, overweight, has money problems, and wishes he would die.
- He's so insecure that can't keep hard enough for sex.
- Took Viagara to try to alleviate problems, but timed it poorly. Made it really awkward for a lady by oversharing his depression and sexual problems.
- They broke up.

If this person weren't an outspoken regular on Resetera, I could find myself having some pity for him. But I really have to wonder... Why share this on Resetera? For crying out loud, he thinks a bunch of maladjusted far-left video game fans are going to have the answers for him?

It's absolutely astounding how he just kinda checked out in 2016-2017 when NeoGAF was at the height of its pageviews and audience, then allowed to place to become a sanctimonious CANCEL factory. Given his history of problematic posting, he had to have known that he would be next on the chopping block. He should have been looking to sell the place off and GTFO.

I think he just fooled himself into believing that the moderation bubble could protect him forever. He thought they could just keep banning posters who dared bring up the time he grabbed a woman's ass to show her who the boss is, and that the forum could remain insulated from outside accounts of his misbehavior. Maybe that was even a reasonable belief, given how much the current ResetERA management/moderator team seems capable of shielding themselves from any accountability. Perhaps their day of reckoning will come sooner or later, but since there's no central figurehead to crucify then maybe it won't see the same kind of meltdown that NeoGAF had.

Yeesh, I feel like he probably could have got the help/attention he was seeking without the fairly graphic sexual descriptions. That shit is just kinda weird and creepy.

What exactly does he mean when he says, "I didn't get what I wanted and neither did they"? So a lady bounced on your dick for an extended period of time and she never got off? Then yeah, that was probably a pity fuck. Poor woman was probably just praying that you would finish quick, and instead you took forever and chafed the shit out of her most delicate body parts. I honestly have no recommendation for a situation like this. I've had trouble getting excited, but that was with partners I had been seeing for years and was mostly kind of bored/annoyed by. If you can't get excited by someone you only just started seeing, things are extremely fucked. Either she's not attracted to you or you're not attracted to her or neither one of you is attracted to the other.

10 years ago you could maybe work sexual problems out with a woman you were dating, but in the post Tinder-world you are just shit-out-of-luck if things aren't great in the early stages. They will instantly move on to the neverending buffet of dudes that the Internet gives them.
