I don't think I posted how bad these masks were. Firstly Japan was LATE to the game on declaring Covid a state of emergency compared to every other country so a lot of people were already mad. To save face, they made this:
They were called アベノマスク (Abenomask, basically a play on abenomics) they were so small they couldn't fit the face. People reported finding bugs or hairs in the packs they got. Distribution of them
royally fucked up and it cost the equivalent of $424 million USD to try to get 2 cloth masks into every Jap household. The two mask policy was laughed at because most families didn't have enough.

Someone found an insect in the packing and there were other pics of ones in their packages with stains on them from the factory.
I went and trawled for some memes about it and remembered this incident with the masks. A political party had a YouTuber running that LITERALLY this was her advertising. But this whole campaign was a shit show. A lot of angles were used to help "get young people into politics. " Iirc.
This is what I will always remember when I think of abenomask. Her titty promotion.
At least the advertising worked.
