Yeah, it doesn't completely prevent terrorists or organised crime groups from obtaining weapons. But random psychos and small time criminals can't obtain illegal guns easily.

I like not having school shootings in my area.

Went on holiday to Japan 7 years agos and I went walk about in town called Kamakura as I am a bit of a beach bum and even though nice their houses are odd, somewhere between an actual house and a shed. What scared me even more as there are apartment blocks that are built using this almost shed like building tech. Not safe looking at all. The Japanese have a high standard of living but its a monkeys paw as they do not have a high standard of housing. I guess If your country shakes all the time better to live in a shed than a concrete block.

I just want everybody to know that false allegations like this are legitimately a crime in Japan. There was one dude who was randomly slandering a boy band just because he didn't like them and they took legal action and he went to jail.

Hurting somebody's reputation isn't something that's taken as lightly as it is in the West.

I heard that Naomi Watanabe ate a whole sheet cake at a small friends party, then blamed it on the dog only to throw up and shit herself in front of those people and people finding out she did it.

Now, 6/7 people at they party are now dead. Makes you think…

Exactly, people really forget that Japan has very deep systemic issues (which will appear in the West too within a few decades).

Personally, I am impressed by observing Japan, but under no circumstance I would ever want to live in it. Even a Balkan shithole is much more preferable.

I go read the news, and a bunch of hack journalists are calling him a "nationalist ultra-conservative". I go on Reddit and they're calling him a fascist who deserved it. A flurry of memes about Japan's birth rate.

I go on Youtube, Tim Pool is attacking Biden for not delivering his condolences fast enough. Meanwhile some other guy is trying to make it about gun control. Meanwhile another guy is using the exact same event to argue against gun control. A bunch of commies glowposting about how we should do this to all the leaders. And then someone compares it to Boris Johnson (as if they're remotely the same thing).

I'm so sick of this non-stop political drama circus.
