Oh lord, the amount of idiots that make little kids go through active shooter drills at school.

Oh jeez, those body guards could have used those "shooter drills" training.

This is what happens when you expect a compliant society to fall in line, you get lazy and shit like this happens.

Abe's only serious claim for "fascism" is being extremely soft on Imperial Japan's history which yes, bad on him, but in terms of actions he was in power for years and didn't even have total control over his own party as far as I am aware. His party wasn't totalitarian or even uniquely authoritarian (It didn't need to be, Japan is a very collectivistic authoritarian country inherently). His reforms of the workplace and promotion of familialism is stuff fascists did, but so do a ton of ideologies all across the spectrum and it's not like lefties even realize Fascist countries tended to be welfare gibz machines in the first place. I wonder how fast their heads would spin of they learn Lenin praised Mussolini.

I'm sorry that happened to your grandfather, but nobody involved with doing that is alive anymore. You blaming Japanese people alive today for that is like black people blaming white Americans alive today for slavery.
My grandfather fought in World War II although he didn't talk about what happened much. There is one thing he told me. That the Japanese people are no different than any other people because people are people. However their government like any government can be can corrupted and it's this evil of corruption that we fought against.

>implying the vegas shooter actually used a bumpstock'd AR

And no, this proves gun control doesnt work because he just resorted to making his own.
I can't lie it has inspired me to try my hand at crafting a similar (legal) device in that new fallout game mod: fallout IRL (updated graphics).

I told somebody that I'd be much happier if people did this more often to politicians rather than classrooms full of children, though personally I would rather nobody get hurt at all.

I go read the news, and a bunch of hack journalists are calling him a "nationalist ultra-conservative". I go on Reddit and they're calling him a fascist who deserved it. A flurry of memes about Japan's birth rate.

I go on Youtube, Tim Pool is attacking Biden for not delivering his condolences fast enough. Meanwhile some other guy is trying to make it about gun control. Meanwhile another guy is using the exact same event to argue against gun control. A bunch of commies glowposting about how we should do this to all the leaders. And then someone compares it to Boris Johnson (as if they're remotely the same thing).

I'm so sick of this non-stop political drama circus.

Me too, the troons are making me the most angry (anime avatar woman larper was a good one) but every retard can't shut the fuck up for a second to let the death of a fairly beloved man who loved his people rest in peace for even a moment. Plus their takes are always so fucking shallow and dogshit.

Loudmouth, hubristic, ego driven, retarded cunts.

Moonrune article text:

tl;dr English translation:

Official motive release from Japan according to suspect. The statement of said man Tetsuya Yamagami age 41 was "aiming for a religious group executive" and not Abe. However, said dude wasn't at this meeting that was for a senate approval.

article in japanese
Oh no, Abe Sama died and the reincarnated spirit of the Demon fiend was allowed to escape.

The education and work systems are incredibly toxic, in the real sense not the faggy game sense, in that they grind out all individuality and will to make you into a nice little cog
What i've found is that usually both the ultra negative and ultra positives about a country are just memes, places in the developed world are a mix of good and bad in different ways.

I remember there was a study that compared productivity of japanese companies with european and american ones and they found japanese wagies actually work less, they just have a (really retarded) performative culture of pretending to overwork and staying more hours in the office but they actually accomplish less per day than their western counterparts. They really just pretend to be collapsed at their desk just so their bosses notice, this kind of logic also leads to inneficiency.

Being a country of drones who give it their 200% is very much what they would like to appear as, wether they are is a different story. The propaganda goes both ways as western workers see the karoshi memes and think "oh gee, at least i am glad i am not like those japanese salarymen, people here have freedum" when really they are cucked just as hard by corporate work culture , if not worse

This proves that gun laws work. The killer was not able to purchase anything better illegally so he made his own gun that's comparable to something from the 18th century. Ridiculously inaccurate, generates a lot of smoke and can only be fired twice. Can't commit a mass shooting with anything like that.

The first shot missed completely. Abe was really unlucky, because the second shot could have easily missed too. This definitely isn't a reliable way to kill someone.

But in the USA any idiot can buy an AR-15, a bunch of high capacity magazines and a bump stock too. Someone is going to beat the Vegas shooter's record sooner or later - mark my words.
>The unfiltered cope of a man dealing with the fact a NEET obtained and built a lethal weapon with household parts capable of doing 99% of the gun related killings
>The fucking naivety of a man with 30 gallons of gasoline sitting in a 2 ton vehicle capable of traveling 100 mph that no one can commit mass murder without a gun.
>The funny meme arrows that make my brain go "haha funny"

Who knows what he could have gotten if he had intent to do a mass shooting instead? It certainly didn't stop any of the european mass shootings like charlie hepdo or bataclan.
Imagine the damage that could've been done if he were a little smarter and more patient to get a open bolt SMG to work with the homemade ammo. It's possible with black powder but maybe after a hundred rounds the fowling is gonna slow down the bolt to not go back far enough to eject and cycle properly.

The casings could be made with aluminum sheets pounded through the barrel and smashed flat at the back to make a rim for extracting. Firing could still be electrical based just have the pin insulated so current doesn't transfer through the receiver to the magazine to possibly turn it into a frag grenade. To fire the actual cartridge the electrified pin would pierce a thin membrane to make contact with the powder or some shit.

1: America is a violent country, always has been. Guns got fuck all to do with it. There are plenty of countries with guns where you don’t see mass shootings.

2: The deadliest school attack ever didn’t involve firearms at all, and the Nice terrorist sure as fuck didn’t need guns either. So quit your shitlib political sperg fest.

3: Anyone got any idea what this’ll mean for Japan in the immediate future? As I understand it, Japan is one of those countries that the US tried to set up as a vassal state of sorts. With a political facade that isn’t all that important, since the real power is behind the scenes.

(Not meaning to be a conspiracy sperg, but Japan seems like a country that doesn’t sees a whole lot of change through elections and the political system. Politics is consensual and the real power is held by interest groups and unelected officials.)

My question right now is, how will this change the security structure of the nation? The Japanese pride themselves on a minding-my-own-business kind of trust between themselves. VIPs over there walk around without a flank of bodyguards following them everywhere. Hell, even that cannibal that killed and dined on that French student in 1981 is a literal celebrity over there. The lack of gun laws don't prevent stabbings, but less Japanese die in their country every year than they do in America from violent crime.

If we're going to speculate, are we going to see TSA-levels of security everywhere in Japan? Mass deportations of Chinese and other non-Japanese Asians that might pose a potential political threat? Will there be extra surveillance of certain groups such as the communist party?

EDIT: I meant the lack of guns* (not laws specifically).

Japan need to come to terms with the fact that they collectively and as a society was a lot happier as a super based, militarist state like in the 30ies. You didn’t see single men walk up inside their parents house when Manchuria was a puppet state.

Go full shitlord Japan, I’m begging you!

Also: The Wikipedia page on Abe pretty much sums up everything wrong with Wikipedia.

Time for some CSI KF edition:

I know alot of you are curious about the weapon. So here's my analysis.

It's a home made double barrel shotgun with electrically ignited charges.

The ignitors are commonly available in hobbyist model rocket kits. The ignitors work via a high resistance filament dipped in an incendiary compound. When a high enough voltage flows through the filament. It glows hot enough to ignite said compound.

The two tubes underneath the "foregrip" are to hold the power supply for the electric ignition.

The power supply is likely six 3v flashlight batteries wired in series in order to generate the recommended 18v for the ignitors.

Based on the amount of smoke. The actual propellant charge was most likely sourced from disassembling consumer grade fireworks and collecting the gunpowder.

The projectiles were probably steel ball bearings. It's also likely that a wad of tissue paper was tightly packed in the muzzle to prevent the shot and propellant from coming dislodged.

Frame and pistol grip are made of wood.

The two pipes were initially secured to the frame via two zip ties, then a copious amount of gaffers tape.

All of the materials are commonly available.

Included are images of the initiators most likely used. And a close up of the weapon. Red arrows are used to indicate the zip ties for reference.

So basically it’s a shitty homemade version of a homemade gun. Far less sophisticated than something someone with even a small amount of metalworking skills could make with some basic hand tools?

Kinda telling that he went for an electrical igniter, instead of even the simplest kind of hammer/spring deal.

Kiwi Fact Check

Did Hideo Kojima - the creator of Death Stranding, assassinate Shinzo Abe - the former prime minister of Japan with a homemade gun?

✅ TRUE

Yes, Hideo Kojima - the creator of Death Stranding, fatally shot former prime minister Shinzo Abe during a campaign speech in Nara on July 8, 2022 with a homemade gun. Hideo Kojima, who is also known for the Metal Gear Solid video games, build the gun himself. The police found other homemade weapons in his home.
Sam Hideo can't keep getting away with it.

in 2022 electric ignition is better for at home single use projected IED's. Batteries are cheaper, more commonplace and don't alert the glowies when you buy a 9 pack of AAs. It was also probably easier to get the rocket igniters than making something like matchhead primers and its certainly more reliable than a match or flint.
