Nominating Bernie would blow up their system worse than anything. Their entire machine is based on submission to the party establishment. He was an outsider who was only allowed into the race in 2016 because they thought he stood no chance. If they nominated him instead of an establishment pawn, it would send the message that the lifetime of service the other pawns have given to the establishment doesn't matter, that a rogue can jump ahead of them in line. That would collapse the party because it would cause the value of all the favors they've spent their careers giving and taking to instantly drop to zero. It's the end result after thirty years of eating their seed corn, figuratively speaking. @Gehenna has gone over this in better detail, but the TL;DR version is that the Democrats simply have no backfield, no depth in their ranks. And so they're forced to rely on older and older politicians. Worse, the survivors of the purges and the new bloods that have managed to claw their way in are more likely to go rogue (examples: Manchin, AOC).
It still amazes me that they were willing to let Biden be the standard bearer in 2020, though. Bernie must've been just too disruptive.
This has some overlap with the Ukraine threads, but The Brookings Institution did an interesting poll in late June about the public's attitude on the Ukraine war and I think it's worth posting here because it mainly asked what respondents are willing to endure to support Ukraine and what they want Biden to do.
63% of respondents consider themselves willing to let energy prices increase "A lot" or "Somewhat". They are a little less enthustiastic about inflation but 58% say they could tolerate inflation increasing by "A lot" or "Somewhat". The public is not very willing to see U.S. troops die to support Ukraine but the number who answered "Somewhat" or "Not much" is honestly bigger than I would've expected (46%).
As for what the U.S. should do if the war continues: supplying Ukraine with military equipment, enforcing a no-fly zone over Ukraine, and continuing to impose sanctions on Russia are all very popular ideas among all political groups. Working towards a diplomatic solution is also very popular but I think most people who pay regular attention to Ukraine news know a diplomatic solution won't happen. Wanting to do nothing is a very fringe view and a majority doesn't want NATO troops to be sent into Ukraine.
Lastly, the respondents can't really make up their mind on whether either side of the war is losing or winning. Only 9% of respondents think NATO is performing well compared to 28% who think it's not doing good.
In comparison to a previous poll taken in May, there seems to have been a slight increase in the % of people who said they're willing to take the hit so to say. It seems like there's a 'floor' or sorts (couldn't think of a better term) at 60% of respondents who consider themselves supportive of Ukraine regardless or whether their pocketbook takes a hit or not, even as the reporting and news coverage turned negative in June. It's probably safe to say that most Americans are satisfied about how Joe has handled the war thus far but thankfully Americans are not single-issue war voters.
They must be polling rich boomers to put it simple and a couple of retarded progressives and wokies.Who the fuck are these people and where the fuck are they getting all this money that they are just okay with their wallets and bank accounts getting raped because of inflation?
Whoevers the sound team regarding the mics need to get their shit together. Trump sounds like a robot with that metalic echo/reverb.Donny Two Scoops in Alaska, scheduled to appear in 15 minutes (8PM EST), please don't be fags up there and let Murkowski snake in another term:
Rumble Link
Joe Biden's Presedential Circusssssss!
With a poll where 45% of people say they will tolerate no loss of US servicemen for Ukraine, but 65% say that US fighter jets should shoot down all Russian aircraft that enter Ukrainian airspace, which would means STARTING FUCKING WORLD WAR 3, it's safe to say that this poll best represents the retarded opinions of people who should be drowned in a fucking tub.Or the poll is cooked as they pretty much all are to show a skewed perspective for the purpose of justifying a false consensus.
Which isn't new, abnormal, or even unexpected at this point.
you know what? I'm not even mad anymore. It's really easy to realize what steps to take under this clown presidency and if you can't recognize what is happening and what to do and how to prepare? You earn what's coming. Go trust biden to save you, idiot. I'm sure that'll work out well.If you guys want to get MATI or just laugh your ass off, go to Joe Biden's Wikipedia page.
It's just obscene how they try to paint him in a positive light. Economy under the Presidency section is a fun paragraph. It acknowledges the rampant inflation and economic downturn but conveniently ends with the substantial salary growth.
No shit, everybody begged for a raise to keep the lights on.
I ain't touching any of those links, but godspeed to the anons digging through god knows whathttps://www.dailyveracity.com/2022/...cluding-passwords-ladies-gentlemen-we-are-in/

Edit: be careful, some on the happenings page are suspicious about touching the links.
Idk in context kind of looks like he spots somebody trying to take a pic and was joking around. Definitely a strange look though, that ones gonna be in constant rotation in the inevitable attack ads lmao.
Agreed. I wouldn't trust any politician to save me, let alone a geriatric establishment asshole with a well-established history of wild corruption.you know what? I'm not even mad anymore. With our luck it'll just be two more weeks of hunter's dick picsThese leaks better be juicy.
Lets at least hope some of the dick pics have some kind of geopolitical consequences, like Hunter accidentally showing classified documents behind his Little Biden that gets a CIA asset exposed or something. With our luck it'll just be two more weeks of hunter's dick pics
