Man, that's a fucking walk down memory lane right there. There was a time when there were practically daily ramblings to deboonk the accuracy of the 'public-facing number' on his Patreon to try and squeeze more money from people. That repetitive pigsplaining of his income was basically the old version of the now constant 'Tips are money that I get RIGHT NOW and are what I use to pay for my day to day things' spiel. Good times.

So, why is Phil upset Subway still exist? Because better places that make subs exist and Subway "shouldn't be in business." because their food is shit.

If he applied this logic of 'things shouldn't exist if there are superior options' to his own 'business', he should be packing up his shit and finding something else to do.
