HoloEN seems to have some odd rules. We know (from livers themselves) the only actual set in stone rule is the person you're collabing with has to have some following (around 1k actual following, meaning you're a partner/affiliate if twitch and monetization/memberships on youtube available.) NijiEX ID/KR collabed with HoloID/JP fine.

Correct me if im wrong, but nijiEN never collabed with anyone in holoJP, and the same happens with holoEN & nijiJP, so the "collab ban" its not limited between EN only. So far we only have rrats about that supposed ban from what Kiara said, some blame holo, others blame niji or both.

If the implication is Kiara sent a birthday video but Pomu can't play it, doesn't that mean the collab ban is on Niji's side? I feel like if there was a restriction on it on Holoside, a holomem wouldn't risk repercussions/backlash. Calli sent a video to Zen as well, so it doesn't seem like there's a cross-company block on contact like that.

I dunno. We have the 'Niji are moving too quickly' discussion about everything they do in general.

I'll be the first to admit that I didn't expect Gen 2 to be seventeen new people debuting over three days but VTA is not about growing a fanbase but rather using the people who show up as a means to gain confidence and become a better entertainer. The fact that the likes of Ponto Nei, Kaburaki Roco, Shikinagi Akira, Yotsuha Umise, Orihito Kuno and Kusakabe Azusa have/had a dedicated fanbase comes secondary because less popular members still got in to Ranunculus/Voltaction.

I'm personally very excited to know what kind of people they're looking for in Gen 2.5 because those people are likely to be part of the iceberg of talented Indie V-Tubers who have a straight shot at getting into Nijisanji.

I daydream about there being an international VTA, but I feel like it would be even more competitive than just apping, since the standards would be based on someone they see the potential to mold rather than someone ready for the big stage.

I've started creating and stopped tweeting, but how entertaining I am and how much I would like to be still has a huge gap. Nothing for it but to eork harder though.

The thing is that they've had this issue for several months now, so regardless of which side would've been at fault (if not both), Kiara would've likely had to have known she would not be able to have her video shown.

For all we know, maybe she sent the video in as just a personal thing for Pomu alone, with some note saying "btw, don't actually show this, you know, the usual stuff". Alternatively, mega rrat, she didn't send any video in, and Pomu just made a joke. We know absolutely nothing about what the situation is, so making rrats about it is kind of asinine. Tribalfags on either side of the fence will just pick out what they wanna hear either way, whether "evil controlling Holo bad", or "petty sore loser Niji bad".

Either way, most people can probably agree that they should just get the fucking permission already, and anyone blocking it is a giant faggot. Don't get me wrong, "absolute unity" fags who go "they should all just collab, I wanna see Petra with Gura! So what if they might have zero chemistry and be extremely fucking awkward together, they're both water-themed!" don't know what they're talking about. When two Vtubers wanna collab that badly though, and they have this much seemingly connecting them, not being able to actually collab is ridiculous.
