Amelia's outfit is A-OK, but how dare KSON also have an outfit focusing on her tits as if she is the only coomerbaity Vtuber out there.

Not that it justify the difference in reactions, but I would argue that the scenarios are not exactly the same.

1. I would say that a party dress with exposed cleavages is not quite the same as a full-on bikini.
2. I'm not sure how much input a Hololive talent has on their alternate costumes, the exposed cleavages might not be Ame's idea, while we are 100% sure that Kson asked for the bikini outfit.
3. With how sparingly she uses her party outfit, and the the few times she did, she always have something covering her chest, I can rrat that she is actually not very comfortable with that aspect of her costume.

Since the Kson outfit was brought up recently. I'd figured I'd say some final general thoughts. I understand if people don't like the outfit, people like realism, fine. But come on, this stuff about how she's pandering or feels like she has to "fit in". Is it really a stretch to presume the crass-talking, sex joke making lady who made a running gag about her tail being a butt-plug and made it into a plushie, joked about having sex with other members, talked about Xvideos, etc. And who's really close friends with an actual cammodel. Would at least be slightly interested in this kind of fanservicey stuff we saw today.

And given that we've seen this kind of stuff in the past (from Kson no less apparently) and the thread didn't care, it's just a matter of consistency. I don't think we'll see her go as far with it as Veibae, but that outfit seems like a logical step given who she's friends with, her past, and her apparent freedom now. And don't even get me started on the idea that Coco's humor is only good around people not like her, because there's a lot of Nijisanji examples I could pull from.

Hololive has more Gainaxing than Gainax, Nijisanji has a literal loli succubus, and Phase Connect just debuted a girl who thinks that her own outfit is too risque.

The funniest part of it all to me is that somehow Null has shown up and gotten stuck dealing with this place enough times that he's somehow vaguely tolerant of us. The anime hating website owner is even putting consideration into how to handle our autism corner instead of immediately pointing at the red button. Well outside of the final yab conditions.

I started lurking here when the thread had around 300 pages I think, read them all plus the new ones. I'm on the spectrum... probably. Nowadays I skip some post though.

I didn't fully skim when I was off for a week recently, and who knows how much spergery I missed considering PC gen 2 were starting to release preview vids and stuff (middle of June). Seriously, I don't know how many pages that was.

Yeah I do. If I don't actually read the thread then I am likely to post something that someone else has already said, which will then just unnecessarily add to the length of the thread. If one of the posters has closely conveyed something I wanted to say myself, then I just give them an agree rating. When I do post I try to keep it to at least one post per page as well (with some exceptions like today) just because I think the thread would be much more manageable with more consolidated posts. If I want to reply to someone, but the reply would create a second post on one page, I usually just edit it into my previous one. That's just how I personally post in this thread.

The only time I skim posts is when I see people start to slap fight. Having a discussion where you disagree is one thing, but getting all pissy and MATI is cringe inducing and I just can't read it. For instance, I skimmed over most of Hypercam's posts today, and by extension most of the posts or portions of posts that were replying to them.

Probably the main thing I'd disagree with what Null was saying earlier on is I do think there's a marked difference between "mentioning and posting about vtubers that some might consider the design to be coomerbait" and outright thirstposting so I find his take of the thirstposting rule being "unenforceable" to be...... weird to say the least.

Yeah from what I've seen they all seem to be managing around the 200 mark at the lowest, haven't had a lot of opportunities to watch them for long myself but I've at least popped in when I see them on. Tiger had around 150 a few minutes into starting then got raided by both Pippa and Airi so I guess a bunch of those audiences hung around for her.

I think we'll have to wait on long term numbers to really see if any adjustments need to be made. Considering some of the other small corpos have trouble even hitting 125-150, those first week numbers are pretty great.

Essentially, she was really frustrated at Niji's failure to get any sort of a copyright deal with Nintendo (one of the most notorious JP companies in terms of being really fucking tightass about content creators) for streaming their games, which made her graduate. This was still in Niji's first year of existence, and very early on they were infamous for absolutely incompetent management, borderline to a black company point. They invited her back a couple months later, once they started sorting they shit out and got Nintendo figured out, and she accepted.

She's actually talked a couple times about what graduation tends to be like, and how to offer your support to a graduating Vtuber.

TBH, people who think that "cursing/lewd jokes = not idol" have a really outdated view of idols and the idol industry.

Not just outdated, but ancient.
Even in the early AKB48 era, idol liking lewd stuff, cursing, trash talking is normal.
Sometimes they would get scolded for being not idol-like, as a joke. Just like today with Hololive.

Watch their AKBingo show and you can find a lot of the personalities and humor similar to a bunch of the talents. They even have yuribait couples. AKB48 even started out as niche idols, only blowing up in popularity after the right song and word of mouth.

This duo can't be stopped, another bona fide banger. How he does the buildup and chord progression is getting a little bit predictable but it hits the same regardless.
