don't see why people would compare themselves to Phil like that. It's a really low standard and doesn't really make him look much better
True that
I've noticed Phil attracts certain strange people, like those leeching off him being a lolcow (I know contradictory) like they think they'll get second hand fame or growth, apparently now cult shit.
Sorry to necro the comment but I'm a new farmer. I've been following the detractors on YouTube since around the 2017 begging as a viewer without interacting with them on socials or chat. The orbiters do interest me as well, because there are several reasons why people are drawn to make content on good old DSP, and some of them do turn out to be involved in some sagas by ending up pulling shit like Frogga
In one of the categories is a general feeling that an injustice is happening and they need to speak out and call it out. This is, in my opinion, the case with people like Supercrazy. If they're successful enough, this can give them an inflated ego and become a preacher, not much different from DSP.
Secondly, some just want to cringe, make fun of DSP and laugh in a light hearted manner. I can think of Dick Stroking Phil Vlogs, Meerkat, An1337, Shinkofleur. Their intentions are shown in their content, and you can see they don't take it that seriously and have fun, and their audiences do by extension. They can put together fun videos or streams for their channel audience and the viewers enjoy it. I can include Piece of Peace in this despite the common complaint that he gets too angry or profane. DSP's stupidity sometimes induces an organic rage in people. I understand that and I think the viewers do as well for the most part. He also does the community a great service with his dedication on the tips tracker.
There's the people like Steve of the Dead, who want to analyze DSP's stupidity from a different perspective and that adds more entertainment value to the vortex. I'd throw GTG in there as well, and Brittany Gates videos. They're all insightful and seem like genuine people. Shout out to Agent Proper as well, watching his stream is nice to feel like you're hanging out shit talking Phil over a beer, and he's been around to remember the old drama arcs.
So far I've mentioned mostly the people I like since I prefer ignoring the ones I don't enjoy. The ones I dislike are pretty bad in different ways - James the Lesser is just plain bad, Call of Doody, Snort Hogan and your run of the mill "it's a clips channel for click bait and ad revenue" channels are exactly that. They oversaturate the search engine with nonsense conspiracies about Kat leaving, Phil being OneMinuteMan etc are no better than a tabloid. Snort Burnell is reliable and consistent in this aspect. Hate Army Watch used to be as well, but he got taken down.
Then we got Supercrazy, and seeing the things I learned from this thread, he's just the DSP of the "good guys". Dropped the ball on the OIC thing, taking everything too personally, getting his info from the kiwis and just copy pasting it in his bland videos, and generally someone who would appeal to the people who just want to get angry at DSP, and forget to laugh.
We got Frogga, who saw the restream model emerge and transitioned from doing troll edits to streaming. Couldn't get monetized on YouTube, so he went to Twitch, became a partner and is now apparently running a "cult" ironically while extorting the members for gifted subs and banning them if they refuse. It seems to me people are paying him just because he's there every day, despite this being completely up to him. I never really felt like I had fun watching his streams.
So generally, it's easy to get an idea about the different trolls by looking at their content and how they approach their trolling - for some you can see right off the bat they're fishy when they have bland and low effort videos like Supercrazy, or they feel entitled to something just because they're trolling like Frogga. For others, you can tell they put in effort to grow their channels and deliver what their community wants - Kingjad works hard on his stuff despite the fact I can't tell what he's saying most of the time. Secret limited has very polished and well put together videos, meerkat makes songs that people laugh at and give a light hearted perspective on DSP, FantasticMrSam is a good editor and makes great points about DSP's content. They also have a podcast together that had some great episodes with Steve, Shinko and Peace. Shout out to xMortis as well and his Beggars Journey series that's basically an expanded and detailed Down The Rabbit Hole series. He inserts his opinion in funny ways and seems like a genuine and nice guy.
Sorry for the long post but I'm not intending on being super active on this site, just wanted to add my 2 cents seeing how some of the liked trolls are being exposed for some dumb shit.
