Not even 24 hours after typing my sleep-deprived manifesto and someone’s already proved my point. I’d pretend to be shocked and awed but I have a shit poker face.


So, the announcement. I can buy that they were blindsided by Aloe wanting to quit and moving up Myth’s debut to cover for the hit to morale that caused, but Coco into Irys? And now Sana into Holostars(EN?)? Happenstance, coincidence, enemy action. No matter how much of the graduation was actually Sana’s choice, I now have that thought in the back of my head whispering that upper management purposefully updated her contract with shit terms to force the decision, in order to force hype.

Really wish Cover didn’t have a history of being incompetent so that I could shrug this off as me being in need of meds, but alas.

wait just to be clear here are you implying that you feel like cover might have offered her a shit contract, so she would refuse and graduate, with hopes that the graduation would increase hype for new debuts? because that might be the mother of all rrats I've ever seen in this thread to date.

I don’t know how you guys thought “learn from Nijisanji” meant “do everything exactly as they do it”. You don’t need to copy someone to learn from them, this isn’t difficult and how this is misunderstood is baffling. This is rather in regards to being at marketing the talents as equal to the girls. And yes I know that seems to have already failed because they’re still associating them with Holostars because Cover, unlike Anycolor, is still associated with idol culture at least a little. If you care to know what I actually meant by “learn from Nijisanji” (a thing that shouldn’t be controversial and frankly just obvious, pretty sure I'm saying the same shit people have been saying for months).

It makes a lot of sense if you think about it:
1) Have an underperforming talent
2) You can either attempt to rehabilitate her or
3) You can offer her an unreasonable contract that compels her to resign, builds sympathy for the brand, and provides a clean PR segue into the next generation of talents you believe may underperform
4) If she accepts rehabilitation, then fine. You get stricter terms for her rehabilitation for nothing.
5) If she doesn't accept rehabilitation, then you get to turn an underperforming talent into hype for four underperforming talents except each of those four could potentially blow-up and create an entirely new revenue stream for you to milk.

Maybe Cover is smarter than we give them credit for, since they've presumably done this like 3 times at this point.

Or maybe everyone's contracts just get renegotiated a month or two before debut season (august to october)

The idea that cover can just unfreeze talent from the cryo vats in case of yab is stupid. It takes half a year at least to get a new gen ready for debut.

I never watched her at all except in collabs, but it brought back Coco flashbacks. So I'm sad for her fans and her coworkers. Having to pretend to be happy trying to enjoy her final streams, knowing they are just that, her last streams. At least I had solace as a Coco fan that she would keep streaming as her roomate.

Kobo crying kind of brought that home, as well as Gura talking about it. Try to be well Sanalites. I understand your pain.
