I remember similar sentiments around HoloX's debut. But so far on stream they've always interacted the way you would assume from their lore. When it works, it works. When it doesn't, there's not much consequence to dropping it - recent events aside, which are a bit late for them to learn from.
In a recent interview about HoloEarth Tanigo said "I think it will take five or ten years for HoloEarth to get on track". This is the man who had the confidence to say that a million subs is possible to someone who didn't even have a thousand:

Not really. Criticizing Holo is much cooler thing to do here. There is no company that gets criticize here over their live2D more than hololive.
