So Nickelodeon has decided to reboot Monster High for the second time, bringing in not only an animated series but a live action movie musical for both the channel and Paramount+.
The one thing everyone is creaming their pants over right now is Frankie Stein now officially being a non-binary who uses they/them pronouns. Barely over a decade and they’re already pulling this…
I remember saying something similar when Ben 10 got a hard reboot. We’re at the point where late zoomers’ and generation alpha’s childhood is being rebooted before they even hit college.Things get rebooted a lot quicker nowadays, don't they? The franchise was maybe a decade old...
I cant believe I never checked this out before, as moronic and out of touch AS can be with their executive decisions sometimes they can strike real gold. People say they wont screw over Tartakovsky in some way but i sadly wouldn't hold my breath, If anyone can screw over its content creators its them. They rival Viacom in that regard.Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal Season 2 trailer is here.
Ten years is like the minimum imo. Personally I'd go for 15.Things get rebooted a lot quicker nowadays, don't they? The franchise was maybe a decade old...
Sad. I suppose that's one of many fatalities we are bound to witness in our lifetime. As Told By Ginger is still an under appreciated cartoon, in my opinion. Yes, you all can make ginger jokes, but you don’t really see ginger kids with freckles on children’s cartoons anymore.
They’ve gone out the same way redheads did.![]()
The Alvin and the chipmunks version of Frankenstein had more dignity than this, and keep in mind that version despite being an "official " crossover with universal pictures. Was still based on the concept of Frankenstein most people who've only HEARD of the story think it's about. (mad scientist, creepy castle, angry mob with pitchforks and torches. Ect)Ah, wait I get it, a Frankenstein monster is made of parts from different people so in theory the "they/them" works for this character. I got to wonder if the writers stumbled upon this by accident because I don't think they are this clever.
Exactly.EAH has so many tall tales, fairy tales, and stories for them to use (I enjoy seeing twists and new takes on stuff like this). It's too bad there was more that could be done.
Well that sucks... i actually liked that showClose Enough has been cancelled by HBO Max after three seasons.

I wonder why it was cancelled. I enjoyed the show, it's sad that the show was so short lived. However, I do prefer Regular Show.
I really want to see how they'll tackle this in the future spanish dub, since you can't pull a theythem as easily as you can in english without sounding uncanny, all thanks to spanish being a gendered language. So Nickelodeon has decided to reboot Monster High for the second time, bringing in not only an animated series but a live action movie musical for both the channel and Paramount+.

Some believe it's because of the WB/Discovery merger and the new CEO's crusade to cut costs across the board. They did stop production of all scripted shows on TBS and TNT.
And yet you can't find this series on HBO Max. Unless you live in Mexico.
Speaking of whichdont mention the carpet muncher episode though
