Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

I can't imagine hanging being a TikTok challenge, but the "choking game" is nothing new. I've seen references of it going back to the 1950s, if not before.
Yea. Kids like to make eachother pass out sometimes if I remember correctly? But I don't think that it involved hanging.

OT but my little brother is only a little older than Archie and I can't help but see him in Archie. The thought of him being in the same position is horrifying but if my parents kept him going for months while literally braindead and rotting I don't even know what I would do. I'm sure most of the people hoping he'll wake up are having similar thoughts; "if it was MY son, I'd do anything to save him!"

I think even though Hollie is absolutely batshit and covertly abusive, there's got to be other normal, well adjusted people - even people who aren't Christian! - who'd still try desparately to "save" their child despite deep down knowing they'll never wake up. It's just so sad, he seemed like such a sweet kid :(💔

They don't usually take this long to accept the inevitable unless they're psychologically checked out from desperation (close to a cure) or denial (guilt and the beginnings of grief).

Parents of children with terminal illnesses know it's better to switch them off at the wall than make them continue to suffer in a body that's useless even though saying goodbye to a child is the worst thing a parent can experience. They can see their child is done and they give them the release they need, recognising that memories of when they're well far outweigh the reality of them hanging onto their drugged out kid who can't do anything anymore. Death is mercy for a child in a terminal situation, and I am genuinely grateful Archie is too dead to feel the physical pain of being a reanimated corpse.

Part of being a parent is making painful choices for their sake, ranging from working longer hours so you can give them a good start in life or saying goodbye before their time so they can die with dignity. You don't know what choices you'll have to make for their wellbeing but it's your goddamned fucking duty to reduce their suffering if that unfortunate ball lands in your court.

It’s pretty incredible the depth of medicine and the delicate balancing necessary to keep Archie’s body functioning. How did Jahi last for three years like that?

Pet Peeve: Writers and news media who state that Archie is going to die. He's been dead for three months, what’s happening is medical interventions will stop, not that Archie will die. These interventions are not keeping Archie alive, but they are keeping his body from decaying. (Mostly.) These writers who take the easy way out are contributing to the ignorance of humanity. The fact that his heart beats is irrelevant. It will not once the vent is stopped.

I’ve looked at early photos of Archie, and don’t see ligature marks or bruising. Have any of you? I’m not saying he didn’t hang but am just surprised that with all the photos we didn’t see bruising.

Archie was twelve. He may have participated in some form of autoerotic asphyxiation; naturally, his mother isn’t going to want to state that, so story becomes an “online challenge.” We don’t really even know that it happened over the bannister where she stated.

That is another bad guess based on no evidence, but with an inconsistent story and little evidence, it’s natural to wonder what really happened. Humans tend not to like mysteries. I guess we never will know, I doubt investigating it will be a priority, (I don’t believe anybody in authority thinks Hollie murdered her son.). But I know nothing about the UK system, hopefully an investigation will be done, including Archie’s phone, and we get an answer. I’d also like to her the 999 call.

The algorithm now believes I am very interested in brain dead people who hung themselves but their family won't let go as today YouTube showed me Drae McCray who might be Hollie X-treme except her absolute insanity (and Kratom) caused her husband to kill himself mid-argument.

And I have to say I'm pretty disappointed I found no mention of her on the forums because she's literally insane and very much a lolcow even before her husband tried to get away from her. I think the husband is still on life support and she is healing him with oils and her own DNA transferred via spitting water on him.

To be fair to the algorithm, turns out I am actually very interested in this phenomenon.

Because legally he is not yet dead.

Had a kid who had hypoxic brain injury (purely a tragic accident), and in my country once the second doctor signs off that you're brain dead then that is your legal date/time of death (NOT when your heart stops beating - you cannot legally die twice).

But the problem was that the family were only visiting the country from elsewhere and were of a faith where you gotta be in the ground before sunset once you die.
So we we couldn't sign off on brain death and had to wait for the kid to be retrieved to his home country to "officially" die. It was very stressful trying to make sure he stayed "alive" in order to make the trip.

Imagine the good that could be done for actually impoverished people both in and out of advanced, industrialized countries if the vast resources wasted on these worthless potatoes went to actual people.

Now that you say it I wouldn't be that surprised if the depressed side of TikTok has videos about hanging yourself. I was a depressed teen once but honestly wouldn't have had a clue how to tie a noose
Sadly, you don't have to know how to tie a noose to hang yourself. Anything that occludes the carotid arteries will kill you by depriving the brain of oxygenated blood, as is the case with Archie. A cord looped around the neck is enough.

A proper noose with hangman's knot is only necessary if you want to break the neck, thereby severing the spinal cord high enough that the brain can no longer control breathing or heart rate. This results in unconsciousness almost instantaneously and death soon afterwards, whereas a strangulation hanging can take several minutes. The so-called "long drop" hanging also requires some knowledge of physics in order to determine the proper drop height based on a person's weight and the tensile strength of the rope. If the rope is too short for the person's weight, there's not enough force to fracture the neck upon the drop, and if the rope is too long, the force can be great enough to result in decapitation. Back in the day, the British Home Office provided an official Table of Drops, which was used to determine the length of rope required to kill a convict by hanging. The Table remains in use in former British colonies where capital punishment is used, with Singapore the most notable example. Hangmen weren't just guys who opened the trapdoor; it was a profession.

Mate, they were asking whether they should bring in a cake, in case Archie smelled the 'chocciness' and came round to wolf it down, like a Looney Tunes character bewitched by a wafting pie.

These people are not troubled by their own ignorance.
True, someone also suggested chocolate scented lip balm might work.
just thinking some more about the nurses in this situation. I wonder if they have the ability to refuse to care for Archie. Like how nurses have the option not to participate in MAID by calling themselves "conscientious objectors"... can they also object to participating in the desecration of Archie's corpse?
I doubt they have any right, but they should be allowed to decline.
"Isn't his heart only beating because of the ventilator?"
"No because the heart beats in your mum's womb even before you have lungs"

Wat.
I guess science education in the UK isn't what it could be.

She is still taking donations:

Anyone that states the judge was right is pretty much gone now. A lot of the thralls seem to have read the judgement and realzied that Archie is dead.

It also came out the gofundme for legal fees etc may have been made before there was even knowledge of the legal fight:

Why is Ella talking about God’s plan? Without manmade ventilators and medications Archie would be long gone.
"God's plan" was for Archie to die, his family to accept it eventually, and let him be put to rest. This isn't god's plan, this is Hollie's plan. What does God want with a brain-dead child wasting medical resources?
"God's plan" = the natural way death works; not fighting against science and medicine and the truth

It's probably easier to say it's a challenge and therefore mainstream than to admit to the world that your kid has been interacting with suicidal TikToks. It did sound from the interview like she was aware of what he's been watching, but then I'm not entirely sure how truthful she's really being as she would want to portray herself in the best light and she did mention something about disciplining/talking to him about it

With the amount of shit on TikTok she probably has some sort of case to create a massive public outcry because there's so many depressed teenagers out there, but that's too hard when you can earn money from your dead child
Hard agree. It's very difficult to watch the hushed-tone interview here when it's clear she's utterly delusional. And the interviewer assuring her she's "doing good" by telling the world about a non-existent see-how-long-it-takes-you-to-neck-yourself challenge on tiktok.
If Hollie cared about Archie's suffering and really had a genuine desire to create some movement in his memory to better society, she has a perfect idea right there. She could raise awareness about how TikTok and other social media platforms allow glorification of mental illnesses and provide platforms for toxic and physically harmful information. She could do something targeted towards other parents, telling them how important it is to keep an eye on what their kids are looking at on social media, and making sure to talk to them and get them help if they end up in a shitty place.

But she doesn't care about actually helping anyone or saving lives. That won't earn you any money. Nobody would yell at doctors on your behalf or get shitty tattoos. And she'd have to admit that she failed or was in any way less than perfect.

I have also looked for this. I zoomed in on the earlier pictures, the ones where he had the bear hugger on; there doesn’t seem to even be redness. Although his head is slumped forward maybe it’s under there?

Good point.
Not sure if anyone can do more than speculate, but is it discernible what has most likely caused the level of brain injury he had? I'm wondering if the actual 'hanging' isn't what has caused the damage, rather the 8 foot fall when his mother snapped the ligature? Is it possible the 'hanging' wasn't serious, maybe just standing at the top of the stairs, or on the bannister, with a ligature loosely round his neck (didn't Hollie once say it was under his chin rather than round his neck?) but in control, then she has reacted in anger with him, tried to remove it and (accidentally) pushed or knocked him down the stairway?

Horrible, horrible thought, but could explain her behaviour, coming from a place of immense guilt over the situation.
