Why would they ask that? They made it obvious that they don't care if it's legal. They get their way for months on end while it drags through the courts, and if the courts rule against them the worst that happens is that the people can ignore that specific diktat. They're not punished in any way, so they have no reason not to do it as much as possible.
In summary: there is no real repercussion for their stupid ideas, all that is done is that they are told no then just try to do something idiotic again. Really, the only thing that can stop them is Joe Biden himself which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Reagan made plenty of fuckups, but that was just the biggest one.

The very idea that the demographics are destiny types would hold to their promise is laughable.

Republicans cannot actually court most kinds of Hispanics. It boils down to one thing: social services. Democrats offer social services. Republicans do not. It is that simple.

Similarly, @NeoGAF Lurker is completely correct as to why Asians will by and large not go Republicans, even if they agree with Republicans on social issues. There is no status to being a Republican. End of.

I see no reason Latinos as a whole will as a majority drift toward the Republican Party, maybe they would after the Democratic Party dominates everything and they have nothing left to gain from supporting them but that's decades down the line. Waiting for a big Hispanic "red wave" is like waiting on a miracle that will never come.

Once again, here is the data I posted earlier:

The Republican Party would have to become Diet Democrat to even have a chance of courting them in elections and anger the core supporters of the party in the process. The alternative is that party embraces nativist populism and goes extremely hard on anti-immigration which would probably burn any bridges to any major Hispanic vote (Tejanos and Cubans would probably love it but Mexicans wouldn't) . Its either those options or do nothing and gradually fade into irrelevance. Ultimately, the fate of American conservatives political future are in the hands of the ancient leadership of the Republican Party who will surely make a decisive action and definitely not do whatever lets them accumulate more wealth.
Republicans had 57 years to repeal Hart-Celler and didn’t. In fact, Republicans helped accelerate it with Reagan’s amnesty, Dubya’s faith-based initiatives, the failed Gang of Eight and the failed Baste Amnesty and Immigration Plan Trump was proposing in 2020. The GOP donor class is addicted to cheap non-union labor, the rest of the country be damned.

The hope that a deus ex machina arrives in the form of baste Asian and Latinks immigrants is a sign of being backed into a corner with no solutions. Also I don’t know why we’d want them anyway. Every Latin American country is in various advanced stages of disrepair. You had one plucky general who enjoyed giving free helicopter rides but even he got the boot. Most Asians immigrating aren’t from the Grorious Nippon, it’s from shit-tier Asian countries. So remind me again why we think these people, the people who failed in their shitty countries, are going to save us?

I don’t want to live in a hyper-racialized Brazil and the worst part is that we didn’t have to. But decades of conservatives who were unable or unwilling to conserve anything have made it so.

In my opinion, that was by design. These so-called conservatives wanted cheaper labor than what can be acquired locally, so they hired "top-tier" talent overseas. One might surmise that they are beholden to individuals from the vieux riche to the nouveau riche who see the average blue collar worker to the white collar employee as slaves for their corporatocratic new world order regime.

Basically both, it is heavy as hell, high in sulfur, which is really bad for emissions, and it takes specialized refineries to even make the oil usable. This is why Venezuela has had such a hard time exporting oil in recent years, it just isn't worth the headache and money to refine it to be usable.
If Biden want to Speedrun the oil supply issue he only need to bring the chemicals needed to purify the oil and ship it immediately from the complex in Anzoátegui , is our refineries that doesn't work but the complex still work and has a port

The reality is even if a metaphorical Latino knight in shining armor arrives to help the Republicans wins some elections, you can bet that it will destroy many immigration reform plans in the process. Do you think they would want anything in place that could stop their family members and relatives from moving into the country?

The only close to realistic plan I can think of that would keep demographics as they are is decisive action on immigration and a hard shift toward nativist policies. Once the "hole in the dam" has been patched in this context, one needs to go about doing the utmost best to wean voters away from the Democratic Party. Then while that is taking place use ICE to get as many deportations done as possible. All of that would have to be accomplished in an ever closing window of 5-6 years before such an option is no longer viable.

There needs to be more then just a "wall", there needs to be a robust plan to address the matter entirely. As I've written before, identity crisis or no identity crisis, just due to how votes work the Republican Party will either need to go down this route, alternatively start pandering more to minorities and change some long standing policies in the process, or fade into irrelevance. I hope this makes more sense then putting all your political hopes on one data point from the 2020 election.

Oh yeah. You can essentially tell if someone is a Communist just by their support of ranked choice voting alone.

Awful system that favors low quality candidates by flooding the ballot with confusing information and oftentimes obscure names.

See? At least one communist is already angry about my post

True but then gain I’ve never seen a Chink castrate their own son for internet ass pats. Swings and roundabouts, which is worse?
The Chinese may not do that but they will send their kids to electro shock torture camps because they think they play vidya too much or aren't getting enough A++++++s in school.

There's also been a recent trend of adults (usually men) randomly attacking small children they encounter in the street or neighborhood.

For sure it was by design and many of them, like William Buckley, admitted their job was to act like a gatekeeper to prevent conservatives from wandering into territory too spicy for the elite. The gatekeeping strategy works until it doesn’t. Since Republicans are proving themselves to be a poor alternative, people are starting to find their own way, which is why they have no choice to move further rightward. I think what’s changing though is that tough talk and rhetoric is not enough, more Republican gatekeepers are going to have to start walking the talk. Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro ain’t cutting it anymore.

I think the key is just enforcing laws that are on the books. There’s enough immigration law to fix the issue, we just choose not to enforce it. Slap a $1,000 fine for each illegal immigrant caught working at a business. Hell, we shut down a baby formula factory for months, we can do it here. Push a case for the SCOTUS to strike down the concept of sanctuary cities, there’s no way that shit can hold up in court. Eliminate catch and release, no matter how sad AOC looks for a photo op. Have illegal immigrants go through the legal immigration process where they will undergo extreeeeeeme vetting. Most aren’t going to make it and that’s fine. We can also stop funding the Mexican drug cartels and stop giving them weapons. Then coyote activity will drop off.

That’s the best part of all these immigration solutions, none of this requires any new laws, just the enforcement of current laws on the books.

Apparently Alaska is using ranked choice for their primaries.
After Trump got done shit-talking ranked choice... oh the irony. They probably did it to spite him.
It really is easy to fool Republicans or they are retarded by design, who knows.
"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"

So yea, I'm leaning towards retarded.

Its definitely going to be a operation akin to the metaphorical pulling of teeth, anyone onboard with the plan would have to steel themselves for the push back and be ready for and actively dismiss claims of "discrimination" and "racism". The Republican Party will have undergo a populist metamorphosis between now and 2024 to ensure a true chance of implementation of anything substantial. Of course, the linchpin to all of this is a Republican President in office in 2025. Enforcing existing laws and adding in some new ones to ensure the long-term policies could go a long way in stopping anything from being undone immediately after Republicans lose control of the presidency at some point in time. Tying a legislative knot a so thick it would take a quarter of a century to undo everything would be quite optimal I would think if there were to be some kind of "solution" to the immigration issue aligned with the goals of the current Republican Party.

If I'm reading between the lines correctly, what they're saying is, "America pumping and exporting its own oil won't help things out! Stop telling us that it will!"

All this is telling me is
"even if Trump gets back and fixes the domestic oil industry we're just gonna tell the Feds to go twice as aggressive and inflate even harder peasant"

I think about Joe Biden and his dementia and Everywhere at The End of Time, aka The Caretaker’s six hour musical dementia simulator.

I couldn’t bear to listen to the whole thing, but the auditory representation of mid-to-late stages of dementia are horrifying.

I would normally feel bad for Brandon but this power-hungry leech and his enablers deserve all their suffering for taking us with them.

The 6:30:00 ordeal:

Someone cut it down to seven minutes:

Listen to the last one from about 4 minutes on and you get a feel for what that decrepit fucker is going through and how criminal it is that the cabal put someone experiencing this as the leader of the West.

Even glancing over the strong "the antichrist is here and will possibly come from Ukraine at this point" vibes, man I'm just so glad our government is spending tens of billions of dollars making sure Ukraine is ready to carry the WEF torch.
Ok I had intentionally not picked sides in the Slav Slap Fight, but I have now landed firmly on Team Putler, and I hope he doesn’t just win, but humiliates the ghouls pushing this.
