That's true. I'm a big Trump supporter and yet I made plenty of jokes about him in the past.
But you make a good point. You never see a Biden supporter make a joke about him. Infact any jokes towards Biden are considered wrong.
With Jon I notice as years went on the Trump jokes kind of just went away considering around that time other youtubers were increasing their political rateioc at the same time. It makes since doesn't help said youtubers were also the ones who supported the cancel culture going after him like Quinton.

Jon did go on to show that it's pretty easy to survive cancelling, if you just go blank and let the fires burn themselves out. The shit, predicated on nothing, has only the animus of the mob to get it through - and the mob inevitably turns on itself, so just wait for a little bit and it'll move on to something else successful to try to tear down out of envy. Capitulation, engagement, rebuttal - it's all oxygen to the fires, which turn out to be easily snuffed; with any luck, other folks who haven't done much wrong at all will learn from his success.

Trump jokes were hilarious when they were playing up the kind of person Trump was or thrusting him into ridiculous situations. The way the man speaks and his mannerisms are absolutely hilarious if put in the right context, it's why Zach Haddel's impersonation is so funny. It's not him being a TWO SCOOPS pearl-clutcher, it's Trump threatening to nuke Sonic the Hedgehog.
Modern leftists have constructed an elaborate fantasy world for themselves after putting a geriatric and blatantly corrupt walking corpse into office. Any jokes pointing out the fact that they guy can't function like a normal human for more than three seconds threatens to wake them up from this fantasy, so they react very poorly whenever it comes up.
