Better Call Saul

The writing on this show is something else, that scene with Jimmy and Kim made me feel things I keep bottled up so tight inside, goddamnit Better Call Saul

only 4 more episodes left. Jesus Wept.

why did Gus Fring walk away from the waiter, who was just about ready to suck his dick right there in the restaurant? No sex until Eladio is dead?

Well, I was right she was going to skip town and leave Jimmy. We have four episodes to play with in the Breaking Bad and Gene timelines.

that was excellent. i loved it. gonna need to get myself a link to a site to watch these easier tho, because i just used youtube. watching the new ep early in 240 p with zoom ins is still worth it but i think it'd be better to get something with a proper aspect ratio at least. anyone lend a hend?

Ok, give her all the Emmys, blablabla, I agree...but yeah her reasons to leave Jimmy are retarded and make no sense whatsoever. 'We are bad for each other' makes zero sense in that context. Jimmy was 100% right, she was basically reacting without logic because of trauma.

The time jump is a smart way to get her out of the show without killing her or getting arrested, I don't know what they have planned for the rest of the season, but it better be good for them to completely scrape away the timeline and bring us into the BB timeline...

I've lost a lot of hope about how it's all gonna end.

It's not that this season has been bad or anything, but it really feels weird for a final season and it just doesn't feel like it's really going anywhere. There's what, 4 episodes left?

I'm starting to be worried that they are going to really fuck it up. This episode had great moments in isolation, but it feels like less than the sum of its parts and Vince is getting REALLY on the nose with his fucking symbolism

~oooh mike is really the one behind bar, while the father is free, isn't our lateral shot clever~~

When I heard the phrase “public masturbator” I thought of badger when he got arrested for selling meth

Well after tonight I have no idea how this show’s gonna end but it’s intriguing somehow

It feels weird because the show is wrapping up two shows. BCS and BB. This episode is almost like the BCS finale. Because now likely everything is in the BB timeline. If those were the last scenes in the BCS timeline then that is basically the finale. And now we get into BB and the Gene timeline. We probably do not need another Howard or Gus related scene anymore. Kim's ending feels abrupt but she could easily return at any moment and likely will.

There are still a few plot points from BCS though. Like Tuco getting out of jail will want to murder Nacho's father or do something crazy. By the time we see Tuco in BB he is a full blown psycho and drug addict. So Mike putting Nacho's father through the vacuum shop is still a possibility and could take half an episode or more. Because Tuco will likely be paranoid and out of his mind following his release. Especially if he sees Mike working for Gus he will become out of control immediately.

Walt and Jesse have to show up for their scenes which could be another half episode. It might not even be a plot related moment just a cameo for both though. Kim will likely be around for the finale seeing as she is not dead. Everyone is predicting her showing up in the Gene timeline as being the moment he show restores color. Gus and Mike need to complete the lab so we might get some Madrigal scenes ordering parts. Gus working with Lydia on cornering the European meth market. We also need to see Saul order Mike to investigate Walter and how that fits in with Saul deliberating trying to find Heisenberg. Plus there is still the Sandpiper case money and the diamonds. The crazy eyed taxi driver who was recast needs to confront Gene again. And finally the ghost of Chuck looming over the series. There has to be at least one major reference to Chuck left beyond the one that was in this episode.

If they do not bring Kim back, which seems ridiculous, it will be one of the most odd endings of any character I have ever seen.

Seeing Jimmy in a gaudy mansion was something else, like a really awful cope. Glad they didn't drag on Kim's departure. I would have hated an overdrawn PTSD rollover.

Can I just say this would be a retarded and gay way to end the show?

So Jimmy spends a year helping a meth Kingpin build his operation and kill countless people. Then goes into hiding somewhere in bumfuck Nebraska. Probably ends up on the FBI's most wanted list.

Is Kim really gonna want to go near him after that? Not to mention how completely retarded it would be for Kim to just run into him randomly because she just happens to live in that state.

Not to mention it just feels cliché. The one moment he regrets making millions with meth money is the moment he sees his girlfriend again? Hope he gets away and starts a family with her. 😪

I suspect Vince Gilligan is wrapping up the BB/BCS universe with this because canon-obsessed nerds will get huffy if they don’t get some degree of closure. I thought the “early” era was wrapped up well with this episode: HHM is going away, Kim is going away, the Lalo chapter as far as the cartel is concerned is closed. I think the only one loose thread that remains is how Sandpiper will shake out and we’ll likely find that out next episode.

They have to have some way to wrap all this shit up in four episodes. All things considered, it was a good way to wrap up most of the prequel stuff except Sandpiper which again will likely be covered somewhere in the remaining episodes.

Them turning Gus into a faggot was the weak point in the episode. Gilligan did a good job wokeproofing BCS and if this is the worst it gets, I’ll be fine with it.

Even then it's extremely heavily implied that Gus was gay, and that was the reason he was chased out of Chile. Hell, he's on a revenge mission against the Salamancas purely because Hector killed his lover.
