Wendigoon Thread

Like many of you, I was initially wary about Wendigoon for my own biases about horror YouTubers. Then I saw the mad man comment on a Turkey Tom video (this is not me even suggesting Tom is le based, or even that good) and I gave him a chance. I do dislike how most true crime channels rely on jumpcuts and boring camera work for what amounts to video podcasts but there's something about this guy that feels different. It feels, may Allah forgive me, authentic. What convinced me was that stream he did with his GF in which he was politely asking people to not donate money.
I adored his coverage of Gemini Home Entertainment, Mystery Flesh Pit National Park and Mandela Catalogue (even though I don't really like MC that much. probably because of the aforementioned admission of him being a Christian).
I do appreciate his coverage of the Monument Mythos as I posted already months ago (even though he got more than a couple of things wrong, I do think he got very carried away in a way I can only describe as adorable.)

Mystery Flesh Pit National Park
Watched it after seeing it mentioned, a pretty cool idea but ended kinda underwhelming, I fully expected people consuming the Pit's output to mutate in some cataclysm event rather than it to Cough and destroy the countryside until stopped by ooga booga noble and wise native american magic stone.
It is a cool idea for a game, wonder how IP for it will work.

IP won’t be that complicated since unlike SCP or the Backrooms which were originally started by an anon and evolved into collective fiction without a single creator or owner, Mystery Flesh Pit is very much one guy’s project that he (presumably) has trademarked/copyrighted. Legally, any game explicitly based on the Mystery Flesh Pit and its organisms would have to be licensed from him.

I don't understand why the venom towards McKamey, it seemed like he at least screened people who want to take part in his masochistic fetish.
Also once again a boomer driven mad by social media.
Yeah, I don't fully understand Wendi talking about him like he's a shitbag. The whole ordeal from the point the haunted house moved to TN at the latest is a guy larping at torture with willing participants.
Hell, I'd be willing to bet most participants were in on the prize being fake.
Some dude wanted to have fun with a fake torture house and people played along. Not my kind of fun, but someone's.

Also he referenced Legal Eagle.

To be fair, compared to other videos like the J Aubery and D'angelo Wallace vid he mentions, Wendigoon is probably the most lenient by far.

"Kind of scummy but harmless boomer who lost his passion" versus "How is this guy not in prison?! People could have died omg they bet on lives in Las Vegas!!!?!!"

Who needs weed legalized on a federal level when you can just sign a waiver?

Also: "I will be cold in the dirt before I snitch on someone for tax evasion."

God I love Isaiah.

A Wendigoon appreciation thread? Wonderful! Love the guy's content. I follow a handful of true crime/spooky shit channels and Wendigoon is by far my favorite.

Unlike the lot of them, he's very relaxing to listen to and doesn't try to sound mysterious or spergy special (ahem, Nexpo, Reignbot, Night Mind, most certainly Rob Dyke)

Super based.

Good video with some interesting history. It's neat that he does actual research and doesn't just read out reddit or wikipedia.

That's the first I've heard of the upcoming World War II megavideo. Hope he does it in Ice berg format over a couple of months.

We’re gonna get some real enlightening discussion when he claims the Holocaust actually did happen, if our Holocaust thread is anything to go by.
