More of the Apex Predator of Rust

Damn. Noor really said "no applicants with less than 100k subs on YT" this time. I'm a bit disappointed, as I tend to favor picks from the indie vtuber community over big non-vtuber youtubers, but I'll obviously still give them all a shot.
Indies and the unknowns are certainly going to be more hungry and willing to do anything to get a foot in, over those with some pre-established background. It's a conflicting one for sure, considering Luca and Mysta, two notable acts in EN used to be mere 2views on Twitch. But this entire wave is seemingly designed with entirely different demographics in mind. Could be a huge success or backfire tenfold.

I see people on Twitter are just now receiving their Gura Nendroids. I wasn't paying attention, so I don't know if anyone here got theirs yet, but there apparently hope for you all yet

I ordered my couple Gura nendos from goodsmile US, so I assume it will be a month or two behind since it is likely on the slow boat to their US location before being distributed. Exciting though that some people are getting theirs, it means it shouldn't be much longer!

This stream sadden me to no end, Sana is literally sperging on her element and having the time of her live, if she had better luck this is what we could have had

hell even 110% might be underselling it.

Girl has 5 streams today alone.

Enjoy her last few streams and wish her the best. She probably won't retire from everything, but with her back getting fucked it's not like she's able to balance both of her jobs. Either way, show her some love, this girl got fucked at every turn since she started, to the point there aren't many ways it could have been worse unless she got her life fucking ruined. Showing her love before she waves goodbye is very important!

Final solo Sana stream. Pako already dropped a hundo on it.

I definitely wouldn't count on it. The fact that it was not simply chalked up to health reasons means it was more than that. Cover suggested leaving it vague and she agreed after thinking about it.

There are way too many possibilities as to what directly caused the decision, so I am just personally going to choose not to mull over what they could or couldn't be, if I can. It was clearly not a decision she made lightly, so if she feels it is best for her, that is enough for me.

Everyone seems to cite her back problem as related to her graduation and that she can barely stream because of it, but she has been going non-stop for like a week with multiple collabs a day, hours upon hours, and seems to be doing ok. Either she is grimacing through it and hiding it extremely well, or it really isn't the issue anymore. I think it is just that she has realized she did not have time to moonlight as a vtuber like she thought she would and her art day job was suffering. Judging from the anatomei stream she does seem to be really passionate about it and since she didn't hit it off really well as a vtuber (at least not to gura/kson/etc levels where she would make more $$$), I can see where she would want to get back to focusing on that side of her life without distractions.

Kind of sad though that her final solo stream only managed like 10K ccv from what I saw when I popped in a couple times. Maybe if she has a prerecorded stream as her true finale on her channel it will pull better numbers.

Ender Dragon collab finally started.

Usually big full-gen collabs tend to be headache inducing shitshows... but Council meetings are also usually kinda dull

EDIT: Maybe Irys will be the secret ingredient needed.

Finally, an accurate representation of Council's Ender Dragon fight

pain-kirin...

I was actually a bit excited that maybe some of the StarENs would be good gamers and shit, since besides Tetris thats kind of lacking in Hololive

Ffs, fuck Apex.

I gotta believe those numbers are on apex mobile or something where it is 95% bots. I've seen some people get crazy numbers on there, like when Selen tried it, if I remember correctly. If they truly are at that level getting 16 kills on normal apex like axel there, they would have to be pros pub stomping complete newbie lobbies I'd think. I've watched rpr play on casual collabs with people and he being a pro usually still can only handle a squad or two before he gets overwhelmed by himself after his squadmates get themselves killed. Who knows, maybe I'll be surprised/impressed.

Slighty off topic.
Looks like Rust has advanced a lot since I last played. Having horses, vehicles, literal roads. Is it worth coming back to now or do you need a group of people? Figure game is still toxic too in PVP.

Kyo's excellent opsec strikes again.
Sorry Nolan, but you might have competition now for poor opsec! :story:

Look at the end screen again and notice the icon for what platform he's playing on showing he's on PC
What it likely is, is the fact that the lads are not bronze level players, but have new accounts for holostars, so are stuck grinding back up from the bottom.

Selen had similar when she first debuted and was roflstomping bronze players.

A no BS attitude wouldn't really work outside of collabs, even then people like the banter and the cutesy stuff. Actually if we are talking about talent appeal, what is Nene's draw? I haven't seen much of her but what I saw didn't really get an image of what she was like. The only thing I really remember is she's a masochist who wants Walt Disney to click his tongue at her while wearing big shoes.
For me it's mostly because nene is adorable, i don't care for the GFE, the appeal for me is more of a "best friend who's a bit of an idiot but in a loveable way" type of deal, her dorky, upbeat and energetic attitude is the best part. I also think she's admirable for the way she tries so hard to do things like communicating with the gaijin.

Its also possible that she takes medication to suppress the pain, but in amounts that would not be sustainable over the long term.

That..and the fact it's been long enough since her last major problem she should be fine enough and since it's only for this month, it's not sustainable without a surgery (if its as bad as she says) to really fix it.

I really don't think the graduation has anything to do with her back. From the few that i remember watching (Mumei, IRyS, Fauna, Gura), what stood out to me was that they all mentioned something along the lines of "it's sad but whatever makes her happy we support her". Fauna specifically saying she wants Sana to "Seek her happiness".

now im almost convinced that Sana wasn't really happy as Vtuber, or at least she wasn't content on where she is/what she's done as a vtuber. So my deduction (which is purely speculation) is that she's either:
- discontent so she wants to make it less of a priority and more a hobby to focus on her gacha, but couldn't meet halfway with Cover; or
- unhappy/disillusioned as a vtuber and completely wants to drop being a vtuber.

So i think Happiness, not health issues

Without knowing how an artists schedule works, I’d also be willing to bet that she took the entire month off from her art work to finish her last month strong. Almost certainly time related, but could be back related still. Something like “I can spend 30 hours a week hunched over a desk working, and my art job takes 40 hours alone.” If she took this month off from her art job, that would let her go full time holo for the month.

Ame got that announcer pack as one of her milstone presents from cover iirc, she got it instead of a song or new outfit or something.
To be fair to cover, japan's corporate voice acting roles arent quite as cliquey as the western dubbing industry, which is absolute cancer of the same dozen people voicing everything forever.
They could try and get indie roles but I think the girls could have gotten those themselves
I've heard about how bad the western voice acting can be and I do get sick of hearing the same voices over and over, but all the girls I listed are able to speak Japanese to some degree. My assumption would be that a popular Japanese entertainment company aimed at otaku and weebs would be a pretty good way for people to get their foot in the door. Then they could probably just work backwards if they wanted and voice their own lines in English.

For me it's mostly because nene is adorable, i don't care for the GFE, the appeal for me is more of a "best friend who's a bit of an idiot but in a loveable way" type of deal, her dorky, upbeat and energetic attitude is the best part. So IRyS but fully Japanese.

I like how Mags is the designated meme/shitposting poster boy. He has so goddamn many joke and meme artwork atm.

VT liking Magni wasn't something I expected
It's rare to see a 4chan board go into meme overdrive over something, but it's always great to catch it live. Reminds me of when Last of Us 2 came out on /v/ and /vg/.

Meme game has been great.
