Technically correct and r/openchristianity is a complete fucking meme:

as always this picture is relevant when discussing progressive christianity, the waiting room for atheists.
Progressive Christianity is mostly agnostics/atheists LARPing anyway (for whatever subversive reasons/parental issues), so it's not really a waiting room. I remember a top post on r/openchristianity arguing for Marcionism (as if it was a novel concept). The Bible-s aren't infallible though, and Christianity is a false religion.

Doesn’t do anything to stop bots anymore. They just load their new comment while logged out and if they can’t find it they assume they are shadowbanned and make a new account.
Well, some subreddits also have minimum account age/karma count to be able to post as well. Though I suppose you just set up 200 accounts at once and regurgitate a few pictures of puppies on /r/awww and you're good to go, but potentially there's an effort needed.

The method they use (or at least used to use) was:

Bot A scours a popular sub for a post years ago that got a reasonable amount of upvotes but not enough that it'd be recognized as a repost. Bot B comments whatever the top comment on the original post was and Bot C replies to that comment with whatever the most upvoted reply on the original post was.

With advances in AI and computer vision it'd probably be easier now to just get tons of high-karma accounts considering most real-life Redditors act like bots at best anyway.

A while ago someone made a GPT-3 based bot to post answers in r/askreddit and only got caught because it was posting superhumanly fast, but it still went on for a week.

yaaas qwaan, slay! except (s)he posts on r/MtF. scary
Models average around 5'9-5'10 still don't they? They did back in the 90s. And models are generally recognized as the most attractive women around. I wonder if it's something other than tallness at play here. Hmm....

NGL, the trannies trying to larp as tall women is probably the worst thing trannies do IMO.

Not for any objective reason, but that it personally makes it more likely any "women" taller than me are AGP fetishists and not actual women. As a tall woman appreciator, this is very upsetting.

It's rough for tall women these days, specifically because of trannies.

Went on a date with an objectively stunning woman, but because she was the same height as me (6'2") she was increasingly getting comments suggesting that she was actually trans. It seemed like it was really upsetting her and causing a ton of stress that she wouldn't let herself fully articulate.

Because Karens will swarm her and tell her she's a bad person for wanting to be recognized for what she is (a real woman) and being upset for being mistaken for a Stunning and Brave Superior Troonswahmen. (The Karens likely envy her appearance- what I said above about height formerly being associated with supermodels applies.)

Real? If you had inklings that your sister wouldn't want to deal with it and find it a problem, then why go? Regardless stories like that, always lead to wholesome take-aways like this when family won't put up with your teenagers delusions.

This is pretty much the account's only post and it blew up. Farmed a lot of of reddit currency even though Dad has a decent amount of learning to do.

Sometimes I think the whole "gender is a religious cult" framing is too simplistic, trying to force something too hard.

Then I see the clearly religious taboo they have around saying someone's given name and I suppose people are onto something with that comparison.

Many New Age cults in the 60s and 70s would also make members take new names to help isolate them and further the disassociation from their former support network. I could go further down the cult rabbit hole and talk about the CIA mind control experiments at Lookout Mountain AFB just down the road from Laurel Canyon or the use of Synanon tactics on reddit but boy, I'm feeling awfully sleepy...

>single father instead of mother
weird

then again, with the mother gone, that girl was left as the only female in an otherwise all male household. add the fact that the father is probably overwhelmed with having to raise 3 kids while also working to provide for them on his own, and it's easy to see how the girl probably ended up feeling lost and alone in her life, and from there all it takes is one unlucky run-in with a groomer (either online or at school) and suddenly it's all over for her. very sad situation to think about.
