Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

I can see the next Legends game being based in Johto and then after Kanto for the anniversary.
I want Legends: Kyurem personally so it can tell the story of the war that divided Reshiram and Zekrom. Or the story of Zygarde ending the war in Kalos. As much of a Johtofag as I am, I think that Unova and Kalos have better foundations for Legends games. Any region could make for a fun Legends game though, except for Kanto on its own and not paired with Johto. Getting to chase the legendary beasts in a Legends style game would be fun.
Well, that and addressing the rampant hacking that‘s present in VGC but that’s for another time.
The best thing GF can do to deal with hacking is making getting good Pokemon easier. They've been on a good track since Gen 6, but even with the raid reset glitch making grinding easy but tedious it's still so much easier just to set your EVs with PkHex and mark all your stats as Hyper Trained. BDSP was the worst in a long time for grinding, but it was a remake without any official competitive mode so it's somewhat understandable.

Wasn't he just doing endless training?
I don't think so. The FRLG remakes added a post-game adventure he had on some island. He must have traveled Johto too, he had an Espeon and ended up in a cave there, so they could just fill in the blanks like FRLG did to some degree.

Guise, why is this leaker leaking useful information instead of making bullshit vague riddles for attention like me?

To be fair I don't there's much GF can do anything more to make it easier to get tournament-ready Pokémon outside of lowering the minimum level for Hyper Training down to 50 and allowing Hyper Training to select any IV level rather than just setting it to 31.

That said, the companies involved with hosting sanctioned tournaments could do a better job with scanning someone‘s Battle Box for genned Pokemon. If Kaphotics of PKHeX fame could find a hacked Galarian Moltres in Wolfe Glicke‘s team then I don’t see why GF and TPC couldn’t develop a tool that could do the same and require TOs to use it when hosting VGC tournaments.

There should be a Pokemon Showdown type mode unlocked after you catch every Pokemon or something.

Lazy people will gen no matter how easy getting legits are, especially when the hackers will always want to cater to their "little Timmy wants his perfect shiny mythicals" audience

Meanwhile it seems Serebii is now crying about the leaker on REEEsetEra
"All surprises are gone." t. the guy who posts every detail and secret from a game on his site the exact nanosecond its out.

Oh shut up, dude. You're just mad he beat you to the punch.

I think its more like Serebii refuses to list anything from early leaks, and must wait for official reveals, so its taking all the attention away from him, despite the current information drought from GF/Nintendo
Its not that he refuses. Its because ninty has come after him before. Also can I get a spoonfeed on the leaks?

An Ancient Jigglypuff, and yet no Ancient Alakazam or Ancient Gengar? Jigglybros are eating good.

If Jigglypuff is not giant we riot. Man i remember being a kid and mesmerized that there were ancient pokemon that were giant. I also recall there being a giant Dragonite in the same episode Ash captured his Krabby.

I've stopped keeping up with the leaks because it's all not backed up with substantial evidence. Past and future forms? Past could be somewhat believable because of LoA. I say "somewhat" because it's made clear they're regional forms as stated in Hisuian Qwilfish's Pokedex that, "they look different in other regions".
If supposed future forms are just Pokémon looking like bootleg Amoured Mewtwo like fan artists are depicting, I'd be really disappointed.

And I'm tired of the YT videos saying, "NEW LEAK!! MECHANIC CONFIRMED" but it's just what someone says without any real confirmation or evidence. I've stopped watching those videos and only keeping an eye out for the next trailer.
At least there's evidence of that so I look forward to it dropping at some point.

I'll believe that there's a dolphin Pokémon when I see it in official media. I've been wanting a dolphin Pokémon so much since Alola as it was an opportune time to make one but nah. Please don't drop the ball, GF! Or make it anthropomorphic like the leakers are suggesting, I'd cry!

We've got a couple of rPokémon GO event is coming up.

For starters, the featured Pokémon for August's Community Day has been revealed to be Galarian Zigzagoon, here's an in-depth rundown.
Run time: Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time for the main event with a bonus Raid Battle event running from 2:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m local time.
  • Galarian Zigzagoon encountered during the event have a 1/25 chance of being Shiny.
  • Galarian Linoone evolved during the event and up to 5 hours after the event will get you an Obstagoon that knows Obstruct. In GO, this move is a Charged attack with a 20 base power for raids and a 15 base power with with additional effects (boosts your defense and lowers your opponent's defense) in Trainer battles.
  • Event bonuses include 3x Catch Stardust, 2x Catch Candy, 3-hour long Incense, one additional Special Trade for a max of three and a 50% Stardust discount on Trades, 2x chance of finding XL Candy if the player is over level 31, Lure Modules lasting for three hours, and 5 Community Day-themed photobombs when taking snapshots. All of the bonuses (barring the extra Special Trade and 50% Stardust discount) will only be available during the three-hour event period while the Trade-related bonuses will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Galarian Linoone will appear in the wild if enough Pokémon are caught, with the assistance of a Lure Module, by groups during the main event. These Pokemon cannot be Shiny despite Galarian Zigzagoon's Shiny form being available during the event.
  • From 2:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m local time Galarian Linoone will appear in 4-star Raids and can only be accessed via Raid Passes and Premium Passes. When these raids are defeated Galarian Zigzagoon will spawn for 30 minutes within a 900-meter radius around the Gym where the raid took place with the same 1/25 Shiny rate that occurred during the main event.
  • There will be Timed Research available from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Completing the research requires you to catch 100 Galarian Zigzagoon and will net you in-game apparel and a pose based off of Obstagoon.
  • Community Day-themed Stickers will be available when opening Gifts, Spinning Poké Stops and Gyms, and for purchase in the in-game shop.
A lot of players are annoyed with Galarian Zigzagoon being a Community Day event Pokémon for two reasons: it was a Shiny that was previously available and it was one that was only available in Eggs or Raids. I'm in the "who cares?" group since players should know by now that all three-stage Pokémon (and some two-stage Pokémon) have a chance of getting a Community Day. As far as viability goes Obstagoon is okay for both Great and Ultra League, Obstruct is going to be a hard move to predict but you're going o have to sacrifice Cross Chop or Night Slash to make it work.
And for a more recent event we're finally getting more Hisuian Pokêmon added to the game via the Hisuian Discoveries event. The details are below...
Event time: July 27th 10:00 a.m. to August 2nd 8:00 p.m. for the main event and an additional Raid Day on July 31st from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel make their fist appearance in Pokemon GO.
  • Zubat, Ponyta, Hisuian Voltorb, Tangela, Eevee, Porygon, Aipom, Hisuian Qwilfish, Wurmple, Kricketot, Buizel, Drifloon, Bronzor, and Croagunk will be more common in the wild with Electabuzz, Magmar, Octillery, and Gible being rare spawns. All Pokémon listed here barring Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Octillery have a chance at being Shiny (1/500 for all except possibly Gible and Bronzor, Gible will probably stay at its current 1/125 while Bronzor's 1/64 rate has a higher chance of being dropped down to base chance).
  • Friendship levels will increase faster than normal through opening Gifts, trading Pokémon, or battling together in raids, Gyms, or Trainer Battles.
  • Trainers can store up to 30 Gifts until the end of the event.
  • During the event, Trainers can open up to 45 Gifts and send up to 150 Gifts each day.
  • Unown S will be available in Raids and have a chance of being Shiny.
  • Panpour will be available globally and have a chance of being Shiny.
  • Sneasel (regular), Roselia, Shinx, and Unown S will be available in 1-Star Raids and all four will have a chance of being Shiny. Chansey, Togetic, Kirlia, and Whiscash are available in 3-Star Raids with Chansey and Togetic having a chance of being Shiny.
  • Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, Hisuian Voltorb, and Hisuian Sneasel are available in 7km Eggs.
  • Hisuan Braviary will make its Pokemon GO debut in Raids during the Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day event. Hisuian Braviary will also have chance of being Shiny.
  • Available bonuses during the Raid Day event include receiving up to five free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs during the event and up to two hours afterward, an increased chance of receiving Rare Candy XL from in-person Raid Battles, and 50% more XP for winning Raid Battles.
I'm really not a fan of locking two of the three (four if you count Hisuian Braviary) Hisuian Pokémon behind Gift-exclusive Eggs and I'm not a fan of Niantic not including a hatch distance reduction bonus in this event. That said I am a fan of the Raid Day event and it being Hisuian Braviary. Oh, and lol no Origin Form Dialga as a Raid Day event 'mon.

EDIT: A new feature was shadow-dropped yesterday for accounts level 30 and above, players can now use a new Adventure Incense every day for 15 minutes when walking. So far reports seem to indicate that rare Pokémon like Gible and Rockruff, regional Pokémon like Mr. Mime and the elemental monkeys, and even the Galarian Bird Trio can spawn when using this lure. Oh, and the Galarian Bird Trio has an astonishingly low catch rate of 0.3% and a 90% flee rate, if you thought Johto Tour’s Legendary Beasts were annoying these birds will test your patience. They also don’t have guaranteed IVs.
Past and future forms? Past could be somewhat believable because of LoA.
To be fair you also have the designs for both the regional Professors and the box Legendaries hinting at the whole "tradition and modernity" theme that some people think SV will be based around, although I will admit it's still a bit flimsy.

Why do they do these things that are limited daily. It is like they are slowly moving toward phone game features and it drives me nuts. I want to sit there for hours hunting for Pokemon, not have to wait daily for a 15 chance then have to wait again. How is this even fun? They claim that children have a short attention span hence the downgrade on the story, length, and difficulty of the games over time, but then do this where they make kids WAIT. I guess one (Nintendo) could argue that kids only have a 15 min attention span.

Also the fact that this is a rip from Pokemon Go too. Just, why? What happened to being "unpredictable"? Can't think of something new? Just another pander to the Go folks.

The entirety of the post you quoted was talking about Go, not any of the mainline titles,
