I don’t remember too well since it’s been a while I’ve watched his channel other than he’d sometimes would get a bit spergy on some of his SW/SH vids. Other than that I never knew much about him when his channel popped into my feed at first until I read through this thread.

Oh boy, I had no clue about that side of DistantKingdom. You always see that kind of "technical definition" breakdown by people who are (presumably) into some messed up shit themselves. Kind of makes you wonder if his obsession with a franchise whose target demo is typically children and often features protagonists who are 10 or so is something deeper...

has a comically overgrown amount of self-importance. Maybe he has some Johto thwauma because he loses his secretly done Gen 2 Nuzlockes to Miltank. I haven't seen him ever showing any humility apart from going into the opposite self-concept of turning from a god-like appearance to a whiny crybaby (and backwards) in the matter of seconds. Does he have his own hater-base yet?
Him Bitching about Pokemon clover is always gold (no Gen 2 pun intended) and for those who don't know, you get unironically banned if you ask him to play it. To say the Clover incident was his JULAY moment would be exaggerating, but it comes close and this insult still haunts Jans illusion de grandeur up to now.




This guy I once enjoyed to watch because he is a tactical genius and has a good sense of delivering suspense and fun with sound effects and such. But he uses a kids game to push gay agenda into peoples faces and also he posted too much furry shit about "Daddy Incineroar" and this kind of stuff so i canceled my sub. When he got more popular he started showing more and more vanity and egoism.
Every time somebody criticized him for his obsessions, he stopped doing videos because of mEnTaL hEalTh
He ist not a dick like Jan and probably a nice person all around but the constant demanding to get treated like a princess on the internet is what makes him a cow and gives his videos always a bad taste. Feels like if he only does this to cope with evil transphobic people and not for fun.

Admittedly nothing in his content leaps out as cowish yet, but I couldn't help but notice in this vid he's got painted nails. Looked at his twitter and you have to go all the way back to May to find the kind of trans selfie-spam that ends up ubiquitous in gender-blobs. Honestly, I'm kind of glad that 90% of his Twitter is FGC autism but something tells me that may not stay that way.

Somehow overlooked this lol but his reaction videos keep popping up on my feed, and while I think they can be entertaining, especially since he's going over why it is someone failed or could've done better with their Nuzlockes, his snobbish elitist attitude rubs me the wrong way and keeps me from watching him. At least it looks like he can be a good sport when people decide to dunk on him in their playthroughs, but not enough of them can pull it off.

Also him most likely losing to Miltank more often than not is a real good possibility for why he hates Gen 2 and can't complete a Gen 2 Nuzlocke, but numerous people have expressed their grievances with that gen and they bring up real good points when they do. Still doesn't stop me from adoring G/S/C, though. Jan also makes it a big deal he doesn't like using items in his runs, but beating Whitney without losing anyone can work, even if you have to spam X Defends in the meantime. My example from when I did it a couple years ago:

I chose to open up with Arbok from the start and after a quick Glare just pumped her with three X Defends while Clefairy spammed Metronome, Double-Slap, and one Mimic to get Glare. Was much more annoying than Miltank since I spent most of the turns keeping Arbok in good health, so it took a Glare, two Leers, two Digs, and a Bite to take it down. Stomp most likely would've kicked my ass much more than Rollout, but the X Defends kept that from being worse.

So I dunno.

I watched PokemonChallenges's video on why Generation 2 is the worst. While his points about the below average Pokedex and the level curve are true, some of his criticisms are just absurd.

• He spends an entire segment sperging about why Feraligatr is literally the worst thing ever becase ... he doesn't like how its name is spelled.
• He complains about the 'constant' phonecalls from NPCs, which he absolutely blows out of proportion. They don't even call that frequently, and you can just delete their numbers anyways.
• He shits on both Johto and Kanto for their lack of depth, even though he's perfectly aware of the memory limitations of a GameBoy Color game.
• He then mocks the rival for being an "edgelord" which is really interesting, since that appears to be his entire brand on Twitch/YouTube.

WTF this points doesn't even make sense. Clickbait for algorithm. Hes not even good, sympathetic or funny, his point is to get people talking about him, being weird and cocky is his business.

To be fair its not only Miltank, you can play around this with a bit of planning. The problem with johto is the low level caps, lackluster movesets and limited options make the early game really hard. Especially with Chikorita. Whitney, Morty, Rival 2, Jasmine, Clair and the elite four can be really tough when you dont have the right mons/strategy to deal with them and the ai gets a lil bit of luck.
The weird level curve I rather see as a challenge not to overlevel too much. This also adds some kind of difficulty. unfortunately, the late game is easy even with level cap because of stat experience.
