what type of criminals are usually in min security federal prisons? probably not the hardcore violent career criminals? he might have an easy time serving his sentence without too much trouble then.

White collar crime, low level drug shit without severe mandatory minimums, dumb disorderly bullshit people did on national parks and other places under federal jurisdiction, and stuff with people with enough to lose they won't just walk off these often minimally secure facilities.

According to Loulz on RV Andy's Interview podcast, Baked is getting 6 months in a FED minimum security prison in Florida. He cannot get good behavior reduction since its under Federal 1 year and 1 day policy. Also there was talk of Cross-eyed Zykotic getting 7 years but phone call on stream he said not that long.

I don't pay too much attention to AF, so I don't the truth of the matter. Thought I should post this clip here, regardless:

Mister Metokur brought up Baked Alaska's 6-month plea deal on the Kino Casino. Channeling the Ralphamale, Baked says DATS NAWT TRUUU. It's a conspiracy!
His objection is pretty weak though. He says: "I'm thinking of pleading on Friday. Sentencing isn't for another 3 months." The last part is muffled, but I think he's saying that he doesn't know how much jail time he'll get.
But if he's taking a plea deal, shouldn't that be known upfront? 🤔

No. The prosecutor can't guarantee an outcome. Usually the judge will accept a suggested sentence within the guidelines range, although he doesn't have to, but outside the range, a deviation needs to be justified by facts in the record (especially a deviation upward).

This usually goes the way the deal went, and the prosecutor usually arranges the plea so that the suggested sentence is within guidelines, i.e. picks and chooses the lesser charges such that the sentence would be appropriate. The deal is usually that in return for the guilty plea, the prosecutor recommends a sentence.

The prosecutor and defendant can also make a plea conditional on the actual sentence, i.e. defendant conditionally agrees to plead guilty but only if the sentence is specifically limited. Such a sweetheart deal is not always available and many prosecutors simply never do that.

Pleas can be very creative. A pretty common one in some jurisdictions (especially in drug cases) involves a conditional plea reserving the right to appeal some specific issue, like the admissibility of the contraband evidence. If they lose that issue, the plea gets rescinded and (usually) the case is dismissed since the contraband is the body of evidence (what they used to call corpus delicti) in most drug cases.
