General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Interesting to hear there was some fan drama around the Rust stuff earlier although it's not very surprising. I was bouncing around the live streams for it earlier as it was happening and all I can say is Pekora basically got force fed the consequences of her own actions.

She started her stream C4ing a hole in the roof of Matsuri's house and emptying one of her storage chests before running off while Matsuri was doing another stream.

Matsuri had been present in Pekoras prechat (she messaged during it) so it's possible she heard her talking about her plans to fuck around. so later when Matsuri logged on and saw the damage to her base and the missing things she immediately suspected Pekora and went to her base to enact revenge.

During that time Pekora had already moved on to her next target and was working on blowing a hole in Suisei's roof to rob her as well. All the while Pekora is talking to her chat about how she's going to "teach these girls Rust is not a world where you get along, it's about betrayal and fighting"

Suiesei at some point in this fucks with and gets Miko after her, Suisei returns home and in a coincidence both Pekora and Miko are trying to attack Suisei's base at the same time, Miko attacks first and is very quickly dispatched by Suisei, Pekora sneaks up on to her roof during this time and plants C4 to open the roof up. Pekora ends up blaming Miko for the C4 and explosions and says she was just passing by and stopped by to see what was happening.

Suisei keeps toying with Miko and Pekora takes this chance to slip back to her base to re-arm and come back to finish the robbery when Matsuri arrives for revenge and (details unclear I didn't watch Pekora's POV during this time) Matsuri seems to have rolled Peko and took all of her explosives away minus a single piece of C4.

At this point the 4 of them all gather "peacefully" to chat, meeting at Suisei's base and Suisei finally gets her voice coms working in game. somewhat standoff atmosphere with all 4 of them inside Suise's house, Pekora very visably obvious in the fact that she's snooping through the house to scope it out, and rummaging through storage chests, Suisei spots her doing this several times. When the group goes to leave Suisei doesn't trust that Peko hasn't stolen something from one of the boxes she was looking in, so shoots her in the head to check her body to ensure nothing was stolen. The 4 then go to pekora's, and pekora gives each of them some ammunition, they then head toward Miko's.

It turns out Miko has stolen from the others, and at this point they turn on her, kill her and trap her in her house, she bunkers down and the other 3 begin smashing things to climb in her windows and kill her some more. Pekora again slips away, planning to go home and get her rocket launcher to come back and "blow everyone up and teach them that Rust is not a world where we can all get along" (minor note at some point in these 4 person travels Fubuki also joined the group but is only a minor player, at one point at Miko's she's killed by a stray grenade from Matsuri)

Peko returns home and then realizes she's been followed by Matsuri (I believe this is the point of the stream sniping claim, I think Pekora said something in that moment along the lines of "I forgot she was watching my stream" probably referencing Matsuri being present in her pre talk. Nothing happens at this point and Matsuri ends up leaving Pekora.

Pekora begins to make her way back, all the while she's talking to her chat about how she's about to show these girls "the way of the world" and that you can't trust anyone in Rust, she also for some reason decides to leave t he party or in game group or whatever, and it's noticed and the others immediately become suspicious noticing it. Pekora arrives back at Mikos, and is instantly gunned down and Miko takes all of her belongings, Pekora returns again, and is instantly gunned down once again. She'd basically made herself suspect by dropping group so and the group of girls she wanted to teach not to trust others, didn't trust her, so they declared her "kill on sight" and she was fed a healthy dose of her own medicine.
Pekora's been getting her shit rumbled nonstop in Rust and it is always her own fault.

I find it incredible that this thread likes homostars more than the nijis, this timeline is fucked bro.
There was more SOUL out of Magni's shitpost guitar riff opening or Vesper's plastic ball story than anything out of Niji today IMO. Obviously time will tell, but you can't tell me anything we just saw got you anywhere near as hard as this.

Seems people didn't like the new wave but I enjoyed them.
Nolan, im sorry to be the one to tell you this but any of the big corpos could shit on the floor and you would probably like it.

Given who their roommates are, there really isn't anything shocking about them, that might raise red flags. Also just by their first stream, they all seem extremely wholesome. All of that helps a lot when it comes to first impressions. Not only that but everyone loves a good underdog story and this might be the underdog story for Holostars to not only do well but also bump up the JP branch.

Looking at the Debut numbers posted a few pages back holy shit I didn't remember Luxiem numbers being so low.

Magni telling viewers to avoid sperging out whenever they see him on another streamer's chat. Basically doing some pre-bonking before viewers get retarded.

Also he's about to end stream but the numbers are really fucking good. I know there is a honeymoon period but still, not bad.

Eh, Maria breaking down in her debut hit the same way as Vesper's excitement did. It always is nice to see people happy about living the dream.

Dude casually does what Vox, Kobo, Gura, etc. constantly refused to do in his very first stream. Even the smallest line said neutrally goes a long way with tard-wrangling your fans. It is all about cultuvating your audience over time.

holy shit Magni, stop beating up your genmates :story: with Regis being absolutely butchered and reinforcing that Vesper is too nice of a dude to try and roast :story: OMFG.. the braincell roast on Axle to switch between EN and JP :story: we know who might get the bully accusations down the road :story;

EDIT: one can only kneel before greatness so hard before the earth crumbles under your knees
EDIT2: Axle stream. I can't wait for him to drop the whole "huurr me big strong muscle woof" and suddenly shows how big brained he is.. maybe

So it seems it's how I phrased the comment that's the problem... again.

Man I really wish I could just learn to understand how what I say sounds before posting. All I want is to learn how to conduct myself properly, I've made a real fool of myself today. Sorry.
First of all you need to stop responding to every bit of criticism or bait that gets thrown at you, just chill and don't sperg out about stuff, you have basically branded yourself as the thread autist at this point so people are going to poke fun at you no matter what you do. INB4 "OMG sorreh, i dunno why i come off like that?! whoopsiedoodle i will try to do better..." while responding to criticism which is exactly what gets you criticized in the first place.

Nobody thought luxiem would be popular, kinda like myth. But i do think iluna will be more popular than tempus, just because males are an unknown concept to the holoaudience, but they certainly ain't a failure so that's nice.

This thread generally dislikes Luxiem and Noctyx, not sure why you expected anything else lol.
I'll be honest though I had higher expecations for this wave itself and as a result the reactions because of it being a mixed wave.

Even I'm somewhat surprised by how little the new wave piqued my interest though of course maybe that'll change with time but I genuinely went in wanting to find someone to latch onto and enjoy and kinda just feel emptyhanded now, not that they were all bad or anything just nothing special or that grabbed me really.

I've kind of felt this way with Niji for several waves now where it feels like each wave I'm suddenly able to find less and less to gravitate toward and I can't even say it's the "eww males" thing because I watch JP males, homostars, and I enjoy the HoloEN lads as well It just genuinely feels like each passing NijiEN wave has less and less to offer for me. Or it almost feels like they just recruit for a younger demographic than I really find appealing so some of the more "zoomer" humor and personalities just end up grating on me. Idk it's strange, wish it weren't the case and that I could be super pumped for them but at least for now I'm pretty meh on what I've seen so far.

Called it. Magni just fucked up and said Hololive instead of Holostars, but he saved it by adding "associated" after Hololive
He is not technically wrong, he is affiliated to Hololive Productions as Holostar, that rebrand came later and some of the JP girls still call themselves like that even when they don't have to say Productions anymore

He is preparing himself to network hard as holo like Roberu did

Well... I mean, it's not that I didn't like the new wave, but honestly I overall enjoyed Noctyx's debut more than theirs.
Aia is... dangerous to me for some reason. Maria was adorable, Aster was cool, and Scarle's scuff reminds me of the EN curse.
Worst that can happen as far as this place goes is that people who don't watch NijiEN will continue to not watch NijiEN; I say this for every debut because the last three have been received like this.
Tbf, people were also shitting on Regis and Axel when they debuted. I can't say this thread is 100% fair, but it's fairer than most places, and also incredibly honest.
Unityfags Lets goo. How long until they tell him to delete it?
Ngl, watching Depressed Nousagi has made me a unityfag myself. Seeing this made me smile, esp considering ILuna was also supporting the stars during debut. Also I think StarsEN manager is different from the HoloEN manager, who are absolute assholes when it comes to engaging with other people from other agencies.
