Tbf, people were also shitting on Regis and Axel when they debuted. I can't say this thread is 100% fair, but it's fairer than most places, and also incredibly honest.
It's generally fair, just not very representative. Which tbf is true of Reddit or /vt/ too. Going off of this thread, for example, one would expect that Pippa would be a 1m vtuber and Vox would be a sub-50k, when the reality is the opposite. Holostars JP and Niji JP guys also really aren't that popular here either.
NijiEN - especially the guys - target an audience that just isn't here. I'm one of the Nijifags and even I am not really into Kyo and Aster from this new wave, for example. I'm sure that they'll reach someone, though. That being said, some of the previous guys probably would be called "just internet bros" if they debuted in Holostars instead of Niji.
I do feel like this wave might have been Noor chasing big names a bit too much. Like, they're all 100k+ sub people on their PLs. Personally I think that indie vtubers - even 2views - generally make for better picks, as reflected in many of the previous Niji waves. That's one of the reasons why I prefer Lazulight & Obsidyia over Myth & Council. As such, I do hope that the next wave has more 2view picks lol.
Wonder why Yahoo did not want fujobait in Tempus, did they a market research and saw that the market is saturated/res britbong is out there ? Because after wave after wave of traps and fujobait Tempus doesn't feel that bad
And not a single British was recruited obviously Holo keeps winning for now
There are only a handful of fujobait en vtubers and they make more money than most of HoloEN, so if that was market research, it was pretty poor market research.
More likely they just realized that Holostars in specific would have more traction with the preexisting HoloEN fanbase than with going for women (relatively speaking, of course - I imagine that Tempus will have more female fans than HoloEN).
Nice cover, as expected. Her and Ren are definitely the best singers of this group, and IMO the most promising members in general.
