You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

I hate how much everything fucking costs right now. Despite budget shopping, going without most luxuries, and nickel and diming household goods, it seems like my above average salary is stretching halfway to fucking nowhere.
A wise woman once wore on a shirt: Stop being poor.

And despite having a piece of shit Japanese car almost a decade old, fuel and maintenance seems to cost a fortune. I cannot fathom how people are keeping up with running costs of 2022 plate performance German motors, all the while having a social life, buying nice clothes, and nursing nicotine/booze/fast food habits.

Taxes won't be going down in Bongland, but the feckless degenerates, jobless and niggers will be getting every break known to man.

Fuck this gay country.
My household is doing fine though we too are noticing the increase in prices. What drives me nuts more than anything is that people who I know are not making as much nor have the same assets as us are still spending money on the "2022 plate performance German motors, all the while having a social life, buying nice clothes, and nursing nicotine/booze/fast food habits."

My husband and I will go out and there is literally no one our age out too past 9:00 pm. It's all college aged to 30 year olds out there putting expensive drinks on an open tab. Even if the girls are wearing shitty fast fashion, I can tell you that's an expensive vice because those clothes won't hold up another night or two. Don't even get me started on the cost of their makeup which has a shelf life so you know they're always having to throw it away and buy more. Where is the money coming from?

Then these types have the audacity to turn around and ask for free tuition ha ha ha I paid my college myself and rarely partied in order to minimize my debt so fuck off kid. I don't know how such a bunch of lazy malingerers managed to get so much political clout that we're now seriously talking about reparations and free college, but here we are.

Don't forget about when they accuse you of being a poorfag for not spending the way they do while they bitch about not being able to pay their bills.

I see you’ve met my brother.

Fucker is one of those people who always has to one up everyone else. Friend or family member gets to splurge on something for themselves? “Mine’s better!”

What he doesn’t tell people is that he and his girlfriend live in a little apartment (rent fully paid every month by her mother) and the reason they have that brand new 4K big screen and ps5 is because she works full time (he hasn’t had a job in 7 years) and doesn’t help with any utilities or paying her mom back, it all goes to consoomer shit.

But yeah, the people who are responsible and spend responsibly are the losers. I fucking hate people with this mentality.

Parents who take their very young chidren to R rated movies. I would not mind this as much if those parents were able to get those very young children to shut the fuck up during the duration of the movie I paid to see. If the kids wanted to be rowdy audience members, the parents should stick to taking them to G-rated fare instead.

Low flow toilets. I swear to fucking CHRIST, I hate these things. I have one of them in my apartment and they're the most easy clogable things imaginable. They were an initial "investment" in the clean environment craze, but they tend to waste more water than one would initially think.
King of the Hill has a great episode about those shitty toilets.

This is why I avoid seeing any PG-13 films in theaters. Any child who talks or screams during a public showing should be burned.

I can't really describe the exact concept I'm thinking of, since I'm not even sure it has a name, but excessive flaunting of one's altruism. Where you have all this money and power and influence to do whatever you want, and you decide to do really good things with it while making sure everyone knows.

In a word: MrBeast. His earlier videos were quite fun to watch, and then he got really obnoxious once he sprouted the beard and thought he was some sort of zoomer entrepreneur, launching his own companies and branching out into becoming more of an identity. I get what he does is really nice for those who need his assistance, but his presentation comes off as really in-your-face, and it makes it impossible to actually criticise him without coming off as some sort of misanthropic monster who hates nature and those less fortunate. If you want to give someone a car or a small chunk of your net worth, then just do it. You don't need to gamify the experience (i.e. if you don't spend every last cent in 20 minutes you lose it all) and you don't really need to broadcast it. If you're a friend of him, or even just a friend of a friend, you are basically set for life at this point. I kind of wish at this point he got embroiled in some sort of controversy to add depth to his character. He's just too much of a goody two-shoes to be anything more than primordially likeable.

On the flipside, there's people on the opposite side of the spectrum. People who use their heightened opportunity in life to flaunt their own egoism. I am not going to name names, since I did a quick search a few days back and found the general consensus is you guys whiteknight him, so I won't directly say it. But there's a very popular guy on YT who uses his daddy's money to do really wasteful things, and purposefully gets off on the outrage he causes. Many of his videos involve buying a nice, very well-maintained example of a classic car and systematically trashing and destroying it until there's nothing left. I'm not so much worried about his individual acts, given he's had more than an incidental brush with death and will probably get a thread here once one of his stunts predictably and horrifically backfires, but what I am REALLY worried about is how he's going to rub off on his (primarily young) viewerbase who hoot and holler like chimps if you dare criticise him, and will probably copy his behaviour in the next 10 - 20 years. What will likely happen is the people he buys his cars from will flat-out refuse anyone they can't independently vet, and grossly inflate their prices to gatekeep younger and poorer enthusiasts out of the hobby.

My wife does tattoos for a living. Send these morons her way cause they're way over paying, we'd appreciate it.
Curious, but what kinda clientele does she get? In the UK at least, it tends to be middle class hipster types who go in for the full sleeves, almost always not their own money.

Considering a good sleeve from an in-demand artist would cost you thousands at least, I can't think those getting them would be anyone else but the very well off.

Polyamorous people who consider monogamy to be this low brow concept one needs to overcome. That they're somehow that enlightened when if fact they're gaslighting themselves to not feel feelings that are natural. Or they can't imagine feeling content with just one partner. I really dislike polyamory (all for letting people do what they want) but those smug ones really piss me off.

Poorfag is my ~*aesthetic*~
Baller is my portfolio.

It really pisses me off too even though it's absolutely no threat to my family. Partly it's the insult that somehow they're better than me because they've discovered the "one true way", even though their life is vastly more complicated and less happy than my little household. The other part is the hostility. Like if we would just stop being such normies, then it would all work out so much better for them. I get the same vibe from female separatists, from commune people, bike commuters LOL.

Also it's a little bit of some creepy experiences my husband and I have gotten while at a favorite bar of ours. Yeah the cheaps were drink, but I eventually found out it was a swinger hot spot and we stopped going. I really don't know what these flabulent couples thought they had to offer us even if we were part of the lifestyle. Ten years later and I'm still insulted.

Who cares? Just post the name. You scared of a few trashcans?
Shoot if need be I'll do it, I ain't scared of no trashcans or tophats. I dunk on Russia, white supremacy and racism in Da Thunderdome for God's sake.

Tax:

FedEx. On two separate occasions I had very important documents left hanging on my front goddamn door. Good thing it wasn't around Christmas or goodbye credit card and signing bonus check!
