General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I think it's more to do with the fact that they debuted at the same time and are equally as nervous.

I am personally of the mind that Tempus will be allowed to collab with Nijisanji because it's a different management team, though, and I also think Nijisanji will allow it to happen.
It's a different management team, but it's all still under Cover. Just like how both HoloEN and ID are.

If the block is on Cover's side, allowing Tempus to collab is gonna cause a shitstorm of people angry that Kiara and Ollie couldn't get their collabs but Tempus can. If the block is on Anycolor's side, I don't see why they would allow Tempus but not HoloID.

It really depends, it might be true that the discussion is solid here for it, but that's not the reputation that this place holds regardless.

Like back when I wandered into this thread many thousands of pages ago it wasn't because "this is the best place for vtuber discussion"

It was because I wanted roomate info and I figured the "evil doxxing website" was the best place to look.

So I wouldn't expect chuubas to be wandering in here because of the quality of discussion, the general public perception of the farms is still worse than 4chan.

It took you till now to start to think the person larping as a company employee on 4chan might be full of shit?

That's like one of the most common things that goes on on 4chan in general, not just /vt/ people post on /a/ claiming to work for anime studios, people post on /v/ claiming to work for game companies. it's one of the oldest moves in the book.
But they do still care about roommate info. Some may be interested in seeing how much people were able to dig up on them, and others also dig up info, remember when Ollie was found with a folder on Reine's RM? This place also gets referenced on /vt/ and is easier to dig through than archive sites. I think it would be a case of them finding KF due to ego searching and just lurking when they realize it's less schizophrenic than /vt/ and less of a hugbox than reddit.

Maybe I liked the zoomer wave because I am a zoomer.
🤔
This explains so much about your approach towards the internet.

My opinion on the new NijiEN wave in just one image

Thanks but no thanks

Finally caught up on the niji reactions will give my thoughts after the replies and maybe some tidbits in the replies
Pon Wolf with an unarchived Karaoke stream. Opening strong with the 10 minute NND medly.
Pon Wolf is still going at it with the Cheetahmen theme of all things.
Sad I missed this curse my mobile shackles preventing me from downloading this
anyone betting if this nigger is gonna be Vox 2.0
Only if his Girlfriend Wolfychu is ok with it
The guy unironically became "big" because his wife is popular. His previous channel for the past year struggled to get 100k views per video and his most popular videos were him and his wife.
Did they get married? Im not sure I knew that
Magni revealing on stream that the lads tried to work out a cover of City Escape from Sonic, but they weren't able to sort out the rights to it.
Sad this didn't happen it would have been great
Sorry for double posting again but is this confirmed now?
Pretty sure they all have
I can Personally confirm Ren is Jordan sounds just like him
And a fan of ladeathmachine confirmed Aia
The others i don't know enough either way but the thread seems to think so
Anons claim Aia is a /nijien/ poster, I'm unable to trace that link to other posts though (and lack context because I don't lurk there)
EDIT: Some anons in that thread seem to think SJW red flags are part of a joke and on second glance it might have some merit. Notice how ridiculously long those are - it could be a riff on how those types tend to be overly verbose about their bullshit (aka they use the same coined phrases memorized perfectly in every situation)
EDIT2: And if she truly is an anon or even worse - an aloupeep, I could see how this could be a perfectly amusing little con to play. On the other hand she was very bland during and after the debut so I'm not sure if she has it in her to pull something like that off. Again, time will tell.
Hmmm based if true
Tho I agree with the ticking timebomb assessment and would not be surprised if shes the influence behind Finanas trap yab
It's the quartzocaust

Sugar mommy Kaela breaking gura is adorable AF wholesome shit i might have to watch the vod
Dropped into Calli's Stray stream and was instantly met with her singing this which brought back memories I didn't know I had.

Also have now become painfully aware of how old that video is which is just the worst.
I remember being introduced to that through Demyx in Kingdom Hearts on crack that's a throwback
Seems

So now that she did the redemption stream.

Has she redeemed herself to you all?
Ill use this to start my reactions
Scarle debut 1.0 : as the resident Vshojo enjoyer my monkey brain neurons were pretty activated despite the scuff ill leave it at that before i go into thirstposting

Scarle 2.0: big cute gap self deprecating calli dork energy as a deadbeat this pleases me she is also very wholesome shilling her gen mates while self deprecating highlights include
"Aster had a freakin anime production
Mari adorable bean amazing singer
Ren literal popstar literal freakin 2010 alt pop boy
And then there is my ass that finished their lore whatever you want to call it literally an hour before we were supposed to meet"

"Should i have told staff-san i was gonna stream again?....woops"
Staff: is she live?
Scarle: no

*After realizing her bgm had been off nearly the whole stream so far*
"Why did they let me in here i can imagine mr niji is like "pull the plug this one was a mistake"
She has good voice range i like the random voices she was doing while being bullied by chat with buffer emojis
All in all I like her i think her current schedule is meh tho so ill keep an eye out for something interesting

And the rest in order

Maria: like Scarle said cute bean not really my cuppa so far tho but debuts mean nothing in the long run sooo

Kyo: i get chill brotuber vibes from him took me way too long to peg the hood accent pokemon nuzlockes are fun so I'll tune into that

Aia: despite the red flags i really dug the literal convicted felon shtick with the parole and police jabs and i think she is genuinely entertaining as a sadistic bully type with a heart of gold for her genmates
I really hope she gets the fan name Aiaccomplices because that name is *chefs kiss*

Aster: eh kinda boring tbh reminded me of Altare tho i hear from here his TP stream was good so maybe Aster will follow suit

Scarle: see above

Ren: opening with an original chad move more bro tuber vibes from him which makes sense given his past as Sweetotunes i wonder if he is still gonna do animation story times or if he is gonna pull a Sana and not play to his strengths
(Not that i blame Sana for wanting to not double up on her day job)

All in all only Aster and Mari did not interest me but thats more of my personal tastes than a commentary on them

So final tallies 3/4 tempus
4/6 Iluna
Not bad Corpos

While i do agree that was a nothingburger, i wonder how much bigger the shitstorm would have been if the roles were reversed, say kiara making fun of noctyx. :\ How much of a nothingburger would it have been then?
kiara/holo/cover didn't say anything theres already doomposting about it,let alone if they say something about niji, expect some hate train and anti troll/drama clipper at full forced, thankfully they are smart enough to not do that,

Also, six people brings up lots of new competition for timeslots, and curiosity if wave 7 is going to bring the total to 32 EN livers, since waves generally reflect each other with the one exception. I'll give them time though, debuts do bring nerves and scuff.
Frankly the time zone problem could have been amended had they recruited more internationally. If we're going by the rrats, at least two/three of them are from the Oceania time zone, which means they'll likely clash with ether Luca or Sonny within EN. Two members with rabid dedicated audiences. Whereas those based in American are going against the established names already in an already compact timeslot. /vt/ (yes, I know) always bemoans the dead hours between 5AM GMT to 1PM GMT, with Vox, Ike and Mysta typically going live at the tail end of that period. Picking up an extra European or two could have fixed that vast gap.

Interesting to hear there was some fan drama around the Rust stuff earlier although it's not very surprising. I was bouncing around the live streams for it earlier as it was happening and all I can say is Pekora basically got force fed the consequences of her own actions.

She started her stream C4ing a hole in the roof of Matsuri's house and emptying one of her storage chests before running off while Matsuri was doing another stream.

Matsuri had been present in Pekoras prechat (she messaged during it) so it's possible she heard her talking about her plans to fuck around. so later when Matsuri logged on and saw the damage to her base and the missing things she immediately suspected Pekora and went to her base to enact revenge.

During that time Pekora had already moved on to her next target and was working on blowing a hole in Suisei's roof to rob her as well. All the while Pekora is talking to her chat about how she's going to "teach these girls Rust is not a world where you get along, it's about betrayal and fighting"

Suiesei at some point in this fucks with and gets Miko after her, Suisei returns home and in a coincidence both Pekora and Miko are trying to attack Suisei's base at the same time, Miko attacks first and is very quickly dispatched by Suisei, Pekora sneaks up on to her roof during this time and plants C4 to open the roof up. Pekora ends up blaming Miko for the C4 and explosions and says she was just passing by and stopped by to see what was happening.

Suisei keeps toying with Miko and Pekora takes this chance to slip back to her base to re-arm and come back to finish the robbery when Matsuri arrives for revenge and (details unclear I didn't watch Pekora's POV during this time) Matsuri seems to have rolled Peko and took all of her explosives away minus a single piece of C4.

At this point the 4 of them all gather "peacefully" to chat, meeting at Suisei's base and Suisei finally gets her voice coms working in game. somewhat standoff atmosphere with all 4 of them inside Suise's house, Pekora very visably obvious in the fact that she's snooping through the house to scope it out, and rummaging through storage chests, Suisei spots her doing this several times. When the group goes to leave Suisei doesn't trust that Peko hasn't stolen something from one of the boxes she was looking in, so shoots her in the head to check her body to ensure nothing was stolen. The 4 then go to pekora's, and pekora gives each of them some ammunition, they then head toward Miko's.

It turns out Miko has stolen from the others, and at this point they turn on her, kill her and trap her in her house, she bunkers down and the other 3 begin smashing things to climb in her windows and kill her some more. Pekora again slips away, planning to go home and get her rocket launcher to come back and "blow everyone up and teach them that Rust is not a world where we can all get along" (minor note at some point in these 4 person travels Fubuki also joined the group but is only a minor player, at one point at Miko's she's killed by a stray grenade from Matsuri)

Peko returns home and then realizes she's been followed by Matsuri (I believe this is the point of the stream sniping claim, I think Pekora said something in that moment along the lines of "I forgot she was watching my stream" probably referencing Matsuri being present in her pre talk. Nothing happens at this point and Matsuri ends up leaving Pekora.

Pekora begins to make her way back, all the while she's talking to her chat about how she's about to show these girls "the way of the world" and that you can't trust anyone in Rust, she also for some reason decides to leave t he party or in game group or whatever, and it's noticed and the others immediately become suspicious noticing it. Pekora arrives back at Mikos, and is instantly gunned down and Miko takes all of her belongings, Pekora returns again, and is instantly gunned down once again. She'd basically made herself suspect by dropping group so and the group of girls she wanted to teach not to trust others, didn't trust her, so they declared her "kill on sight" and she was fed a healthy dose of her own medicine.
That sounds like great fun thankfully clippers all over this hilarity

I can't wait for EN to get in on this so i can see some english wars

I suppose it's a question of what Europeans are applying. I think this thread severely overestimates how many applicants are qualified for the job and/or can write a good application/cope well in job interviews.

Even as I sit here now there's only one European V-Tuber I think would do well in Niji that isn't too big right now to benefit from remaining solo but isn't so small that they'd be overlooked in an audition. It's a delicate balance and I think NA just has a larger volume of people who strike that balance.

Even Kiara, the only major non-British Euro V-Tuber right now was Japan-based at the time. It's just a much smaller market to pluck appropriate talent from.

I won't thirstpost, but I'd lie if I said her model isn't doing anything for me.
Whoa now be careful! In my last post, all I did was wonder how Towa could be so cute after she said "I love you" in English, and my post was actually deleted for 'thirstposting'. Guess the criteria is extremely low now. It wasn't even the main focus of my post, just an offhand remark. I'm going to post the clip again because it deserves to be seen.

Hence why I say generally the 2.0 (full debut as 25 minute intro is really not going to get an idea, that's basically round 3 of your audition) stream is usually when we get an idea on them and how it is clearly playing into her character since a lot of that are definitely touchy subjects. Look at the shitstorm Finana caused passively being "woke"; Imagine dedicating your stream content to "being woke" on a professional platform. It's like Millie's off-comment about the "People say Scarle is the first latina in NijiEN" shit that went around /vt/, they make it known they lurk places. The way she read it off alone you could kind of tell it was in a mocking manner and her entire character is "observe the humans" which is opposite of when Enna got cast from heaven, she was being punished and instead we got punished. (I love Enna.)

Hell even Nina was smart enough to back off on Russia based streams after they whipped out their dick on ukraine. Enna already pushes the line with her off comments about American politics (school shootings etc) that she gets away with because its just off jokes, a full 2-8 hour stream analyzing LGBT and Religion I don't see flying lol.

This song would have been way better if it were just a Maria and Ren duet lol. I agree, the instramental part is really good. Hope the 4 get better at singing it enough to not make it embarassing for an anniversary karaoke or whatever.
Similar to Blackout. Rosemi, Selen and Petra aren't singers. Petra can carry a tune, Rosemi is...Rosemi and Selen can't carry a tune, but the song was still great even if it had to be processed to hell and back. I'm sure the others will improve (its nerve racking as hell going to a recording studio if you normally don't do that as well.) since a few want to have their own songs so its all in if they'll actually dedicate.

The issue I see with that is it adds another constraint to their already fairly rigorous recruitment policies, how many Euro's could have applied that met the criteria and also past the inhouse QA check. I would imagine if they found someone on par with the talent they chose that fell into less populated stream hours they would have picked them up over another congested timeslot.

God, these past few days have been exhausting to read through all the pages. Finally reached the end for now but this past few weeks have just been jam-packed with the new debuts and their PLs.

We only just reached 6000 pages not that long ago and it's already getting close to the halfway mark.

You guys are insane.
