I think it's because in all this time, 12 years and counting, bronies have simply learned their place. Compare "Oh yeah, we're fucking weird and people don't like us." to the still very common furry mentality of "We'll MAKE those bigots love us!"
I see furfags being very brazen on 4chan every now and then, acting like they aren't actually despised, but I have seen so extremely little of bronies for years now, not just on 4chan but in social media at large. At most I'll see pony avatars in places but they otherwise mostly keep the actual pony talk within their circles.

It's 14-35 year-old men, some shut-ins and some who just browse because, that demographic tends to have varied and degenerate interests. I'd argue that most weirdo's on the internet benefited when you had board-centric lolcows like Ja/ck/, Ken Penders, and Spoony. I think one of the reasons why they are more socially accepted is because troons still support major companies. Amazon, uber eats, soylent and other consoomer goods. Companies will virtue for them so they will continue to spend money. Furries will tend to make small niche markets grow which makes it harder for investors to invest in those companies.
