Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Moth made ANOTHER video on Junko Furuta and oh boy wow, it literally adds nothing new to the case that hasn't been covered by better channels. What a shock.

I'm deadass so sick of so many true crime channels covering the same horrible torture and murder cases like this one. There are an OCEAN of videos all about Junkos case, almost all divulging the details of her 40 days. I feel like its enragement porn or something, for the viewers to get mad over this stuff without REALLY having to get invested in or care about the victim. Just let the poor girl rest, GOD.

It's also not his first video about her.

BTW, Moth has his own thread.

People are still searching for this obviously fake anime? Jesus fucking Christ.

Go for a Punch is unironically one of my favorite pieces of fake lost media, it would genuinely make such an interesting case study on the mentality behind a devil's proof and internet users in general.
It's a really bizarre story that doesn't even try to sound remotely convincing about an intentionally nonsensical cartoon that has literally no justification for being made beyond "japs are into weird shit lol", posted on an anonymous board by someone with zero evidence for it beyond 'trust me bro', but somehow the words 'forgotten forbidden anime' grabbed these people so tightly by the balls that even after over a decade of searching with literally no results other than a few fake edits people still actively believe in it and look for it. There's less than zero proof that it ever existed, but it sounds "cool" so people want it to be real.

For fuck's sake, there's even a fairly convincing confession from a guy claiming to be the OP of that story explaining how he just made everything up as he went along, but even that isn't enough to convince these people it was just a lie, and I doubt anything ever will be.

Thats pretty much the only leg the go for a punch meme stands on. It sound stupid but could be something from one of those weird smut OVAS from the 80s you might have seen but don't even remember the name of. Its obviously fake but its easy to have a mental image of it. If people can visualize something they think that makes it more likely to be real.

The '80s and '90s OVA boon meant literally anyone, even amateurs, could make their own anime for the video rental market. There's a lot of older hentai/ecchi titles out there that have never been subbed, or even have raws available due to their age (example, I cannot find anything of the two-episode OVA Koiko no Mainichi outside of brief clips including one preview in front of another erotica), so that's why people continue to chase shadows because it's not implausible something like that was made for a niche of a niche in the niche anime otakudom. If it was made, there would've been some kind of proof out there, whether in a preview on another rental tape, or in some catalogue somewhere, but those are real hard to come by, especially if you don't know where to look for clues, and given the niche nature of it, it's a literal needle in a haystack, and it may not even exist.

I just think it's amazing that in the attempt to look for "Go for a Punch", autists found actual Japanese guro films that were nearly lost to the void, so it's not like it hasn't been in vain. If by any chance it happens to be found, I'd like to check it out out of curiosity's sake and see if it lives up to the hype

I like the argument "BUT CLOCKMAN WAS REAL AND EVEN COMPANY ITSELF TOLD THAT THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS". Does this mean that any bullshit post has some validity because Clockman is real? Does it mean that Evil Farm game is real too? Does it mean that Grifter is real? Actually, if you think about it, this is what Sucky Son of a Bitch is - Grifter for autistic weebs.

Didn't the Evil Farm game get solved this year, had something to do with the OP drifting to sleep while watching Joel (of Vinesauce streaming group).

That sounds more interesting than if the Evil Farming game is real. Once I fell asleep as I was watching some Technology Connections video about plugs or something and right before I woke up I felt like I was listening to something about drug dealers.

"so you think that a plug is just going to fall out of the wall. No, no, no."

How would you guys make an internet arg work? I know it would never work, but if it could somehow, how would you?
The John Palifox Key one started as someone talking about a mysterious lost book on some blogs or something and it spread to other blogs about lost books. Would have kept going too but someone admitted it was an ARG on the Unexplained Mysteries forum and it died right there on the table.

Key shenanigans

I don't know if this has been posted about yet, but I've stumbled on a neat little channel called I Can't Sleep.

As it stands, they've disabled playback on sites other than youtube. I''ve picked a few videos I personally enjoy the most from their catalog. (1) (2) (3)

Honestly, the style and general themes are nostalgic as fuck, it all reminds me of mid-late 2000's emo/scene art you'd see plastered on deviantart and myspace.

Ever since the dude who runs the Monument Mythos changed his channel name to MISTER MANTICORE I've had the unshakable feeling that his channel is supposed to be some weird alternate universe Mister Metokur but I have literally zero evidence for this theory whatsoever.
