I wonder if bringing up the etimology of the word slave would warrant a ban over there. For those who don't know, many scholars believe there is a connection between the words "slave" and "slav", because slavic peoples were a common source of slaves during the Middle Ages - and the last time I checked, slavs aren't exactly black.

I've never been fond of localizers these days when it comes to Japanese content because a lot of times those localizers in question would insert their unwanted politics in a work that they've never written in the first place. The point of difference might be in considering open marriages/relationships as different from cheating. The stereotypical response for men when they're caught cheating is, 'It didn't mean anything!'
