The idea of a FIVE DAY stay for a hysterectomy is blowing my mind. Even if it was done with an open abdominal incision which they almost never are anymore, she probably still wouldn’t be there for five days. Heck, I think most hysterectomies are outpatient these days, or overnight at the most.

Is she just gonna whine so they keep her? Those poor nurses.

I know that munchies are a thing, but the idea of being excited for a five day hospital stay (let's face it, that Amazon list screams "whoo vacation!") is utter lunacy. The food sucks, the TV and internet reception suck, you're connected to wires and IVs the whole time, you have techs poking and prodding you all day and night. I don't know where she got the idea that hospitals are like a getaway from home, or that she'll need to stay for five days. The longest I can see her staying is a day, and that's if she ends up nonstop puking.

I just remembered that doctors have women of child bearing age pee in a cup before certain procedures, including surgery. I can see her tweeting about how she's so relieved to be getting a hysterectomy because the oppressive doctors are required to give her a pregnancy test to legally cover their asses. Being a woman in Alabama is so scary, guys!

I'd honestly recommend putting in the thread title "Put down a traumatized (or brain damaged) dog because it had an ear infection". Just something about the fact Bella was not exactly a normal dog, and Polissa just did nothing about the potential brain damage and obvious PTSD she had.
I've been considering adding more to OP, and that is on the list. It is just heinous to me how fucked over poor Bella was.

Do you think she thought of Bella as an incovinence she could rid herself of and use the ear thing as an excuse to do it? I doubt she actually cared because she didn't get treatment for the PTSD and brain issues to begin with.

Polissa is still updating her Amazon wishlists.
From her hysterectomy wishlist:
Novelty crew socks. Not even compression socks.
crewsocks.PNG

A laptop backpack... for a woman who doesn't own a laptop
laptopbackpack.PNG

A book about menopause and feminism.. a swearing cats coloring book...? These are needs?

From the Campbell's Home for Wayward Animals wishlist:
"Someone else buy my husband a total gag gift for $17." :story: If you can't buy food maybe don't worry about gag gifts.
gaggift.PNG

More novelty crew socks.

She also had this on her hysterectomy wishlist last night but it's gone now:

Imagine complaining about "literally starving" and asking for a $30 uterus-shaped pillow.

"Hey honey, remember that time that you had to smoke weed to prevent rabies after getting bit by that raccoon? Hahahaha"

There is a true dissonance between going "I can't afford eggs!" one minute and then begging for a $30 uterus pillow for your hysterectomy recovery the next.

I will say, I mostly posted the streaming binging as just info dumping since it was there anyway. But the more I think about it the more I think about how Polly spent hours on her ass watching shows when her animals are suffering (let's face it, hoarded animals are miserable, and that's before accounting for their owners begging for food and litter). I can't think of being able to watch shit long and attentive enough to give little reviews of them while my animals don't have food or a proper place to shit. Just saying.

Maybe Polissa has been hearing her hysterectomy stories from older relatives. Back in the day, hospital stays were longer--heck, completely walky-talky people would get checked in the night before, for a procedure in the AM. Incisions were longer, too. Some of this pampering, at least the "seatbelt adapter" kind, would have been appropriate.

I think you're right that she'll be able to get at least a day out of it on the strength of post-op nausea and vomiting. The silver lining is that if Polissa truly has a years-long yeast infection, she might get the wound-care nurse sic'd on her, or at least some prescription antifungals. Nystatin isn't magic, but you can't get it from Amazon.

I was thinking she was probably talking to her family about all the shit she needs for surgery and they told her that it's an overnight stay max. Rather than admit she's wrong and that her set of luggage really isn't necessary, she doubled down that "well, my doc told me I'll be in for 5 days." That is why she suddenly started putting up that 2-5 day statement on Twitter because she knows that people are questioning her

I'd camp out overnight at a pet food bank if my animal was starving. We all know she'd never do more but that's the absolute minimum she should be willing to do.

It's entirely possible.

I remember when someone on Twitter was "ratio'd" for writing an article about euthanizing a dog with PTSD she got during COVID. The major difference between that dog and Bella was that the other dog bit others and had a habit of lashing out. Bella, rather that fight, was in flight mode all the time. I don't remember if that dog had any health problems, but she was comparatively young to Bella - only about 5 years old. In that situation, the dog was euthanized because the owner was tired and didn't know what else to do - she weighed the options with the worry that the dog would attack others.

Bella, on the other hand, had health issues that probably also stemmed from being hit on the head by the baseball bat. But the thing that did it in was the ear infection because Polissa is cheap. None of the animals in the Campbell residence have a good quality of life, but Bella had it pretty rough (confirmed to have been physically abused, brain damaged, traumatized dog). When you're not going to bother fixing it in any meaningful way, you'll scramble for any excuse to get rid of an animal once it becomes "too much".
For Bella, it was older age + ear infection + low QOL + not wanting to give her back to a shelter. And like Corissa Enneking and J Aprileo, they don't do anything to fix a medical issue until it becomes a major burden. All these people have varying levels of patience, but as we know, Polissa's is slim.

For both of these people (the woman in the article and the Campbells), I get the impression that the animals were pet projects rather than actual companions. But at least the owner in the article tried to get mental help for her dog, and that dog had a much better quality of life comparatively despite the mental trauma. I do not agree with putting an otherwise healthy animal down for such a reason, but that's not what this post is about. If someone here can find the article and post it (the dog's name was Bonnie and she was a Beagle mix, I think) that would be great.

TL;DR: Polissa is a shitty pet owner and I would not have sex with her

Something that’s always fucked me up is just how quickly Polissa decided to put down Bella after she realized she was in pain. The tweets were posted literally back to back. She didn’t even try to go “shit I need to take her to the hospital.” She could’ve easily had someone contribute to that goal for her. People love animals and do not like them suffering. There are whole procedures done in slaughterhouses to try to keep animal suffering at a minimum upon slaughter, and people want their animals to be as "happy" as possible until that time comes.

And yet, Polissa claimed that a friend funded the euthanization, but then waited days because she wouldn’t go to another vet. She ate barbecue at a neighbors house during a holiday she hates while Bella suffered at home, allegedly with her whole head full of infection. It would’ve been more merciful at that point to just shoot her on Tub Trumpet trailer land if she “had” to wait.

It’s all so heartless.

By the way, bitch wants $60 for eggs and bread along with weed and melatonin gummies

Go without your meds like Bella did.

What kind of eggs cost that much?

That's my thinking on it:

My mother had one about 30 years ago, and I remember a relative of mine taking her to check in to the hospital the evening before and me being packed off to my aunt's for a week+. So Polissa probably heard what mom or an aunt or a cousin experienced and assumed hers will be just like that.

Jeez, when I was a kid, I had an injury that required a minimal, non-invasive trip to the OR. Went in Friday night, they made me stay in the hospital all weekend because post-op puking, but I was discharged that Sunday.

$4 for AA large eggs, $4 2 for one deal on sliced white bread, $12 for a pack of bottled water (tap water not good enough?), $30 for marijuana "medicine" probably.
She gets her food at Walmart. Her food wouldn't even cost that much. It's like $3 for eggs, she could easily get the $2 loaf of Great Value bread, $6 for a pack of Great Value water... the rest would definitely go to weed and maybe melatonin gummies. Because heaven forbid she take something without sugar in it. I also heard that gummy meds are less effective so she'd be better off buying a bigass generic bottle of melatonin for like $8.

$60 for bread, eggs, water, and "meds"?

Holy shit, Polissa, food costs have gone up, but not that much.

Now, these are expensive part of leafland prices, but

polissaisagrifter.jpg

That's about ~$15USD, I even added a little extra if that's all they're going to eat for a couple weeks. So she's absolutely wanting to buy weed or DoorDash or some shit.

Hey, Burgerland Kiwis who are familiar with Medicaid, her prescription co-pays can't be that crazy, right?

You can get -a big case bottled water at Walmart for like $5. Her food items are maybe $10 tops,
shows what i know. a 24 bottle case of water where i live is about $12 after tax and for eggs/bread i doubt Polissa is the type to really shop around to get the best prices - it's about convenience and money is cheap when you don't work to earn it.

Does she not have running water? She can drink water from the tap.
going back a bit she complained about electricity, heating/cooling (mostly cooling), and once about insulation, but surprisingly i didn't find mention of bad tap water. now bad tap water that's disgusting, smelly, and awful but still clean and potable does exist, especially where there ground water mineralization that's difficult to filter. so i don't begrudge some having to use a filter or something to have potable water that isn't terrible. but bottled water is kind of a rip off and unless you need to portable convenience of clean water (throw them in a bag for lunch at work or on a hike or something) it's usually quite a bit more expensive than just buying a filter for the home. heck a filtering pitcher is usually decent and fairly inexpensive and handles hundreds or even thousands of gallons before expiration. you can also easily make your own but neither Josh or Polissa is going to do that.

100% she believes at least half the maladies she croons about because it's attention getting and gets her pities and freebies and she can feel dainty and loved.

Early on the thread, she complains about her house being near a "plant", so her tap water isn't good. If the house they're renting is old (and they prevent the landlord doing any maintenance), the pipes may be questionable too. I don't begrudge her buying water, but whinging that she needs soda because the tap water is bad? STFU, Polissa.
