Lol don't get me wrong dude I just think we should get ready to see some of our favorite vtubers lose their jobs not because they fucked up but because their simps can't afford to simp anymore or their corps can't stay solvent. It's the way of the world.

There will still be some of them who I'm pretty sure will be streaming until they die, ie ironmouse, but how many of those types are there who would still do it just to interact with the outside world?

EN indies were a mistake.

There was much speculation around 2020-2021 of when the bubble of vtubing would pop, but honestly the industry has remained pretty much unchanged since the boom, for every graduation and failed agency there are more debuts to fill their spots, the big players seem to be doing well for themselves so far.

It kind of did pop similar to any bubble, it's not in a huge downward spiral but there's so much garbage flooding the market now that it's nearly impossible to do well in it or make a living unless you got in early or got lucky to be favored by the algorithm gods..or you're a piece of shit that people fap to, e.g Saruei.

If the first world really goes to shit I predict that most indies that really love the medium will just stream less while doing a day job and corpos contract will be renegotiated to permit talents to take part time gigs. Killing off characters with a graduation is a waste of money for a temporary bad economy

What we might see is a reduction in the amount of staffing/material support corps provide to chuubas. Just the talent streaming is a very low-overhead business, but there will probably be fewer managers with more talent per manager, fewer concerts and music videos that require hiring a bunch of people to do the production for, less marketing, etc. Next year's HoloFes might be scaled back, for example. Small corps that already operate on a shoestring are at a bigger risk, due to lack of fat to trim.

Koe likes a Holo thing? Pinch me, I'm dreaming. Also pretty based of Vesper not to like Among Us; it's not even the matter of "lol must hate popular thing", it's just that the whole concept of social deduction games has been feeling somewhat overexposed, at least as far back as Town of Salem. Would be neat to at least see someone play the classics like Mafia/Werewolf.

Reading between the lines it seems like either death of a parent or their house being destroyed or kicked out of in some housing scam (which I've heard is common in korea). I think it's the former because of how quiet V&U were about the whole thing, to the point where it felt like the company and the other two were being cold, but that could just be koreans being more autistic than japanese with feelings. It also makes the company feel much more legitimate than some black company and seeing how they've already given new outfits two months into their company debut they seem to be serious. In all it's just good news and with Monaca getting her spirits lifted this week, some good feels.
