  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Just another short 7 hours stream for Ela.

The only thing I wish I could change about my oshi, is the fact she can't into niponese. I'd love to have Ame actually interact with Nabi and the JPs in a more understandable way. It's very cute watching her and the JPs speak with passion language, but seeing Kiara and Nabi-mama collab like this while actually understanding each other is great. Also, I've missed Nabi's extremely sweet voice.
She jinxed herself by making it into a new year's resolution

Just watch Airi play dark souls instead. I got her on the loud TV next to the PC, because pippa is so fucking loud even on lowest possible volume. Remember, no back dooring.
>died twice three times in the first actual combat encounter
Yep. I'm gonna go play videogames.

Airi has 80 deaths at Gargoyles. I think I saw the light of slight competence with Tempus and I can't go back bros. I can't.

Not sure how many of you are familiar with Who Are These Podcasts (basically it's a podcast that reviews other podcasts in a similar fashion to Jocktober from Opie and Anthony), but the show's host Karl just announced that they will be reviewing CHAD Cast for their next episode. It should come out this Sunday if you're interested in listening to a boomer from upstate New York shit on three spastic anime girls for an hour.
Post it once they do it. Seems interesting to watch.

Millie and Enna did an Original Song 'Pull for Your Heart' with CR Hime for the expo next week. It airs on the same day they'll be doing meet-and-greets at Otakuthon so they'll literally be in two cons at once.

Crunchyroll dropping a ton of money. I expect CR Hime to get a boost in subs after it.

I'm glad to be wrong from what I posted earlier, it looks like the twins from V&U are actually still around, they weren't just axed indefinitely:

Reading between the lines it seems like either death of a parent or their house being destroyed or kicked out of in some housing scam (which I've heard is common in korea). I think it's the former because of how quiet V&U were about the whole thing, to the point where it felt like the company and the other two were being cold, but that could just be koreans being more autistic than japanese with feelings. It also makes the company feel much more legitimate than some black company and seeing how they've already given new outfits two months into their company debut they seem to be serious. In all it's just good news and with Monaca getting her spirits lifted this week, some good feels.
I dont know how good the houses are in Korea but I can believe it. Here we get hurricanes every year and when they manage to hit land it can really fuck you up especially if one of your windows gets blown. The water will destroy anything inside

Her first stream with Super chats and she's raking it in! I guess people couldn't find the streamelements donation link? Fishman treat her well! I think all of Gen 2 is good, but Shiina is something special.
Really glad for her. She is extremely talented and overall it was a really good Karaoke stream.

Definitely. Not only does he not know what he's talking about 90% of the time, but you actually see in his body language that he was forcing himself to hate her music. Didn't want to lose his Anti-Karen audience I suppose.
Nothing beats a "critic" with fuck all talent and not really anything to show off for it.

I'm going to be out of town for the next two to three weeks for a family reunion.
I'm going to remote access my computer to record Pippa/Yuni streams.
I'm going to be on the road for four or five days of trip so don't expect miracles.

Godspeed you beautiful bastard

Aia is doing an F2P account from the beginning turned off voices and has been voicing everything herself
Gave Paimon a country accent
Venti a gruff voice
Amber Valley girl
She turned Lisa into what can only be described as an Angry Cockney almost Billy Butcher impression but she's terrible at it
"I have no idea where lisa is from this accent does not exist anywhere in the world"
She and Ren plan to Co-Op

So I just had an uncomfortable thought.

With much of the developed world seemingly heading into some tight economic times, some even a recession, what are the odds were going to start seeing more "graduations" or even outright collapses of smaller corps?

This explosive growth can't continue forever. It's already lasted longer than I personally thought it would, though IANA expert on anything related to this industry. Unfortunately whales and findom victims (finmasochists?) will probably keep paying up, but I expect that most normies are going to find superberries an easy thing to save a few bucks on if things get tight. I know I've already cut back my donoing to zero the last few weeks, though I was never a huge paypiggy in the first place (never more than $25 a month or so).

We've already seen a few of the more poorly-run small agencies collapse. I definitely think more collapse or consolidation is in the cards. It's just a matter of when, not if, and this recession will likely help it along.

Hey, man, have a good time. Thanks for all your contributions to this thread.

I hope you have a good time touching grass and wishing you could be home watching a pink yabbit than hear about your aunties boring adventures soldier! :semperfidelis:

Also on archiving,

Do you still have your template of how/what you do to archive the vods. I know it's been posted several times in this thread but nice to have it posted on your profile feed so we just have to go to your profile and see it easily, I'll try looking into it too cause I think there's one vtuber I want to do archiving for that don't think else have.

We've never had a full blown global recession at the same time that tips and donos based video streamers were even a thing, but historically, fringe entertainment venues don't fair well during economic downturns.

Sorry for the uncomfortable thoughts I'm just doomin
To look on the brighter side of things, it'll cleanse the indie and small corpo scene. I'm sure people like Pippa and Lisa will be fine, maybe they'll have to add some value to being a member so people don't simply rationalize that they can watch for free, but it won't really be too difficult for them. There'll be less money to go around, but I think people will continue to support their oshi.

However, many of the grifters who don't give a shit about VTubers or their audience will find their wallets a lot tighter. Garbage Twitch VTubers who built their audience on doing shitty react content instead of engaging with their audience and having a likable personality will have a lot harder time convincing people to pay.

The same goes for all forms of artist, by the way. The furry artists who draw like preschoolers but somehow make money on patreon are going to have a fucking meltdown if (when) the economy dives off a cliff. Good content for us.

My setup posts:

I'll post the above links to my profile as requested.

For the past 2 weeks Pippa had 600 to 700 viewers, she lost at least 200 viewers from that Aoi collab.
It was a weird collab and I could see how it filters people since you basically had 2 people failing hard at communicating. Pippa's autistic audience would rage at seeing her not diffuse even the easiest of bombs.

I dont think much will change. Similar to the pandemic people will probably avoid going out more and do more online shit. Hell it could even slightly boost Vtubing even if other forms of entertainment take a hit.

Lisa is actually the level I'd worry about the most.

At the top end, the Holos are telling their financial managers to take a more conservative position, postponing international travel and purchases of cars for family members, etc. Calli will switch back to JW Black.

At the bottom end, Mashiro Yuki will keep playing guitar and practicing English during her lunch break. Maybe she doesn't get money for a cake or whatever from it, the money was never the point.

The PC girls might look into a side job that won't interfere with their streaming hours if they don't have one already.

But it's the Tsunderias and Prism Projects of the world where I think a lot of them will have to take a long, hard look at whether this is a financially viable use of their time.
