I'll be honest and say while I don't believe Go For A Punch is real, I feel like something equally deranged and stupid will be unearthed from obscure hentai Hell sooner or later. Not because I want to see it, but just because it wouldn't surprise me if somebody else had an idea similar to it back in the day. Kind of like how 4chan's Niggerbook was an obvious hoax but then Matthew Harris happened.

The thing is, media like Go For A Punch already exists. The visual novel Euphoria is basically that, a bunch of students stuck in a place forced to do sick shit with each other in a Saw-like game.
Hell, the whole eroguro scene from 90s Japan had even worse stuff, like Midori.

The problem is that nobody has heard about it even in Japan. Also, Midori is pretty well-known, while according to the OP this one could only be found on Deep Web. Just try to say "deep web anime" without bursting into laughter.

EDIT: Also, don't forget that Midori was literally made by one man and every studio refused to work on this, so it's rather an exception than a rule.

To put it simply, the existence of an anime like Go For A Punch is far from impossible, and given the state of the anime industry, especially from the era it's said to originate from, it's more than likely that something like it does actually exist somewhere.

The issue is that people took an obvious shitpost on 4chan seriously.

Yeah. The actual premise isn't really outlandish for anime at that time, when shock titles abounded in the OVA market. It's more the "found on the dark web, worst thing I've ever seen, no indication of it ever existing" thing that make it pretty obvious the specific shock title in question wasn't real.
