Sounds to me less like they wanted to shut it down for the sake of protecting kids and more so because they want to optimize the child grooming process and expand it all over the country. If anything, they can point to the shitty treatment and say that it's because the system is overcrowded and underfunded, hence the expansion.
If any degree of scrutiny were present in the equation, none of these new centres would've gotten approved anyways, the whole system would've been binned, and the doctors hung, but you and I both know that's being too hopeful.

It's crazy to me that there is pretty much 100% overlap between genderists and fat activists (a huge proportion of whom are now "queer" and/or "non-binary") even though fat activists constantly argue that weight loss surgery is unethical because you are "removing a healthy organ for the sake of changing your appearance and conforming to beauty standards."
Never mind that weight loss surgery has mountains of requirements and gatekeeping around it, the exact thing that TRAs don't want transgender surgeries to have:

So a well-gatekept surgery that actually does improve health and lifespan in most cases is immoral because it is "removing a healthy organ" but cutting off your tits/fusing your vagina shut/inverting your penis and ballsack? Not only is that ethical, but anyone who opposes it is literally committing genocide.
The nipples were likely necrotic, which happens a lot after top surgery: they just shrivel and fall off. Either he made a joke about them growing back which she misinterpreted because she is autistic, or he lied to her so she wouldn't object to him removing the dead skin.
(I am not defending the surgeon, who did this to her in the first place and should be in prison at best)

I would question their claim of being a mom given their posting habits (have fun with that, waaaay to much talk about packers for muh trans child and other people's top surgeries while updoot cruising using her kid's coming surgery) but one thing does weigh strongly in favor of them being the sex they claim themselves to be:

One self-reported survey only AFTER the surgery, and merely 29 respondents? If there was ANY interest in getting the actual truth, even though it's admittedly difficult with subjective experiences such as sexual pleasure, they would have had a survey before getting the surgery (preferably one before HRT as well) and then one after, and the questions should have been based on ranking their sexual experiences from 1-10 or similar so you could compare numbers before and after.
This "study" is about as objective as a poll on r/traaaaaans or whatever it's called.
