I don't know. I legit think that Chris is fucked in the head enough that Heilburg just might be able to convince a jury that this is just another one of hus delusions.

They have dozens of videos Chris shot of Barb looking completely out of it going back years.

Most of it was in begging videos where Barb could very well have been putting on an act for sympathy money. There's a reason very few people like her, she's known to be extremely manipulative. She might very well have dementia, but dementia often makes people act in sexually inappropriate ways, which Chris could have interpreted as her making the first move because severe autism. Which further complicates the case.

If Chris tried to claim Barb wanted it, he would get his ass handed to him.

What about all the intimate cuddling that Barb did with Chris for over a decade before the incident when she showed no signs of dementia? What about asking Chris to apply bandages to her ass? Forcing Chris to spoon with her against his will in the rental house? And that's not even considering Chris's claims that Barb had propositioned him previously or that Barb made the first move in 2021.

I'm not saying that Barb was in any position to consent, but there is a case to be made that Barb had been grooming him for decades prior to the incident, and this is what his lawyer will most likely argue.

Barb's incompetence is going to be a given here.

Extremely optimistic take. It's difficult enough to prove rape as is without even considering dementia and autism. This isn't the open and shut rape case legally speaking that redditors seem to think it is.

Felony incest would be much easier to prove and convict him on.

On the subject of involuntary commitment - At least in the US, you can't be held for more than 72 hours in a psychiatric institution without it going to court. In most states, the bar to hold someone longer is two independent psychiatric evaluations determining that you're a danger to yourself or others. Getting two psychiatrists to agree is hard enough but Chris is borderline functional enough that even getting one to agree that he needs to be committed is extremely unlikely.

There's no fun house for tards in the US system. The two speeds are either managed outpatient care or a blank white room where you're not allowed to have shoes. And no psychiatrist is going to think someone like Chris needs the latter.

It is just fascinating to see how this went from kinda stupid kid in rednecks paradise to slightly disturbing guy living in a hoarders house to annoying people with sexual stuff to trooning out to fucking his own mother to going to jail. Wow, what a ride. Looking at the timeline sure let's you shudder - and let's you stare in awe how hard someone can fuck up his life.
Whenever I went back to check what was happening, Chris somehow was able to lower the bar a little bit more, and I think he can manage to lower it even more.

After researching the felonies he could be facing here's the list:

So, if he is put on the SOR, would he have to wear an ankle bracelet even for tier 1? Seeing how Chris seems like the type of person who has difficulty planning ahead, I am sure that getting him to check in with his SOR caseworker regularly like he would have to if registered would be near-impossible.

Usually that's how it works in the US, the DA dangles plea agreements at each hearing and adjusts the offer accordingly while each side plays chicken since everyone hates going to trial.

Currently speculation, but there's not many other ways it could have happened. The way that they are handling this case is quite unusual. He probably either rejected a plea deal or this is part of his plea deal.
